Because it plays right into the stereotype that lesbians are just confused and didnt meet the 'right man' yet. It discredits our sexuality and identity as a whole. They joked about how she isn't a real girl cause she's a tom from the beginning in case you didnt notice.

i feel slightly better knowing i'm not the only one. i'm always hoping for lesbians but i should stop bc i'm always disappointed haha..
