chen zheyuan did not carry this drama lmao. rather everything else was carrying him from the costumes to the wirting to the female lead. his acting needs to improve. too much fan hype
did xioa zhan and Zhang jingyi really have zero chemistry? because I watched it and i really liked them together. why is everyone complaining like they were the absolute worse because I really dont get it. this drama isn't romance focused but I've been seeing so mnay discussions and comments especially on both cdrama reddit subs complaining about their chemistry and then saying that Zhang jingyi was a miscast or that Xiao Zhan character didnt look in love. I wonder if people have something against them.
the plot may not add up but that doesn't matter. This drama and its leads its ful on bat shit crazy and I loved every moment. park eun bin as a crazy unhinged maniac was such an amazing experience to watch. What I love is that tou can still sympathize with her even though shes wrong, you can understand her pain. This was just such an amazingly crazy show brought to life by its leads and the cast. 10/10.
why is everyone complaining about sang yan being unrealistic yet male leads from hidden love and WIFTY get praised when their just as unrealistic. Like this is not real life, it's a drama. And also not everything character should be written perfectly. Like I really don't understand what the issue is. for example here's what these people are saying on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/CDrama/s/tU8IwuXpEE and https://www.reddit.com/r/cdramasfans/s/F0Z4vVWTzC
this review put into words exactly what i felt about the romnace and the male lead. everyone hypes it up while I found the chemistry between them odd and uncomfortable at times. the male leads expressions and mannerisms were so weirdly done at tome during romantic scenes that it felt like he was preying on her.
I really love this drama. I knew JJH was a good actor but here he was a revelation. He carries the whole show…
110% agree on Ju Ji Hoom , he has always been an amazing actor!! I had full faith that he would be great in a romcom because of earlier roles as well.
as for the female lead, while I do like her I also find myself wishing a more suitable fl was casted? I'm not sure what it is because I love their chemistry but I do feel like Ju Ji Hoon needs a better match.
I cannot believe that some people are literally saying that Hu Ge acting here was medicore?? like I'm not sure if this genre is juts not for you but it's absolutely baffling because these same people will praise idol actors who have zero skills?
I really want to watch this cuz it's been ages since I've watched a historical drama, so can someone tell me if…
Would not classify this as completely happy but statsifying ending as everything was addressed. The main character the King survives and wins the war in the end. The romance is not the main focus but still impactful and sad.The chemistry was great to.
This is a good write that really captures why some just couldn't enjoy this show or understand the hype. The ml was literally written as the perfect dude that young girls fantasies about.I actually found the fls character far more tolerable than the ml. The mls character was a complete waste of potential. They could have done so much but they just gave us a surface level character. I keeping seeing this character and actor being praised for his 'brilliant' acting and being the perfect green flag ml. It's kind of ridiculous.
You don't like her acting fine but whats with this hate towards her Su Zu . Her insta comments are making me sick…
This is not only sad but a terrible thing to do. Actors have it hard as it is. I do hope she's okay personally. However while I do understand this might be her first project, casting her was not a good choice especially opposite talent like Lee Jae wook for example. You will stick out amongst actors with experience in a lead role. Either the director or casting crew should have given her some kind of support or better direction. How can they shoot a freaking whole drama and not realise that the first female lead is seriously unable to fulfill the requirements of the role. It's disappointing.
They cast Lee Jae wook and Lee Jun Joung but choose a female lead that can't even match 0.1% of their acting or energy. I don't know what's worse, the plot going down the drain or the shear dread of trying to watch the fl's scenes without wanting to just drop the show I don't even know the 2nd fl as an actor yet she's one of the most exciting characters that came on screen. What a disappointment, a true disappointment and waste of the 2 males leads presence.
Came here to say what an incredible show this has been till episode 20. Commander Yangs battle scenes had me sobbing! Epic and emotional are two words to describe this show thus far ,I hope the next couple of episodes keep up the momentum it started with. I wish they would produce more historical epics like this!
