I feel like this season is a bit rushed, especially eps 9 and 10. They didn't really bother exploring Ba-Bi's cells in depth the way they did Woong's cells in S1 and even in S2, infact. And the break up felt really rushed too. Not saying that Yumi's reasons for the breakup wasn't valid. It was, but in S1, we as viewers could see the beginning of the end of the relationship very clearly and the build up to the break up was gradual. In this season, it felt so rushed. Yumi wavered when Ba-Bi apologised. Are we to assume that after she left Jeju, Babi didn't contact her again? That he didn't try to win her back and that she didn't waver? The whole thing felt very abrupt.
And although Woong might be a changed person now, its still hard to forget his shitty behaviour in S1 and his communication issues and his pride. I don't want Yumi to end up with either Babi or Woong. I'm so ready for a 3rd Season!
This was a very cute series. solid 8.5/10. One issue I have with most Japanese BLs is that they always only have one kiss which is one-sided and non-consensual. But after the characters get together, there is no kiss?? Make it make sense.
Wtaf is this? LOL this ain't it. This season's a whole mess. Also, Kang Min's acting in that crying scene was so awkward. Side note : Woo Hyun shines brightly in all of his works. He's a great actor!
In my opinion, eps 1-8 were really good, but eps 9 and 10 were ....lukewarm at best. I'm not a fan of the whole 'get engaged to someone so the other character realizes their feelings' trope. The whole wedding plotline was so dumb. Atleast Non and Lin had a reason, but Korn was in the dark too. Why tf did he say ok to the wedding???????? Even if Win denied his feelings for Korn, it doesn't mean that Korn can immediately jump ships and marry Lin when he KNOWS he doesn't like her.... like wtf was that?!
I get that Um's wife comes off as annoying, but I think people are being overly mean to her and overly sympathetic to Um. It's because of the screen time that Um gets. We as viewers know that he's a good person but that doesn't excuse the fact that he was absent from his family's life for OVER 10 YEARS!!! He's a lousy husband and father.
His daughter was uncomfortable when he moved in, yes, but he didn't even make an effort to change himself? He just...left? When you know you've fucked up and for so many years, you need to be persistently pleading with your family while at the same time making yourself a better person. Yes, its harsh but you will have to endure it since you put your family through the same shit for 10x longer. Just packing up and leaving because your family hasn't immediately accepted you back is weak and at that point, you don't deserve shit.
And for all the people saying that his wife shouldn't mess with the relationship he has with his daughter..... he literally forgot that his daughter has a serious allergy. He doesn't know the first thing about her. He wasn't bothered to change himself so that his daughter would be comfortable living in the same house as him. All he can do is give her a tour of the KMA and buy her food......BARE MINIMUM. And ofcourse the wife would be salty if the husband and daughter have a good relationship, she's human too. She did all the hard parts over 14 years and then her husband comes along right when things are getting easier? Dick move. Imagine you being a parent and your child liking the "cool aunt/uncle" more than you because they bring your child expensive presents..... not to mention if they were terrible to you, would u take it well?
I also saw some comments saying that its the wife's fault for not spelling out each and every thing to her husband..... she's literally the victim here. She's practically a single parent because her husband abandoned her. That's victim blaming. Sure, she may have known that he's a dumbass who can't think to save his own life when she married him, but over the years, she may have realised that she can't take it any longer. She's completely justified in getting a divorce.
I wish Ji Goo had more screentime. She's my fav character. Ji Goo and Ji Yeon are much more interesting and funnier than So Hee. One of them should've been the main leads lmao
It feels like Jin Ha Kyung is bending over backwards to please Lee si woo. She was serious about marriage since her dating days with Ki-Joon but one conversation with her married coworker and Si woo is enough to change her mind? Idk
I'm also not convinced of the chemistry b/w 2 main leads. There seems to be no tension b/w them and its still early on in their relationship....
And Lee Si Woo's character is bland af. PMY, and Yoon Park are carrying the show. Feels like PMY and Yoon Park would actually have better chemistry than PMY and Song Kang
