Because if the transmigration really happened, it would mean that the present time is affected by the changes the characters did in the past. It has to do a lot with challenging historical events and the government does not want that.

High hopes for the romance, as for the story, its chaotic and weird so just go with the flow.

XXX has a connection with the dragon. Just like the octopus in the earlier eps. Whatever is in the mind of the Ren who controls the animal, the animal will do. So in spite of XXX initial reaction, he cares abt Nong Yu so much that the dragon senses it so he appears and saves her.

Jae I has no redeeming qualities at all.

Haters are really working overtime to lower Cheng Yi's dramas. Love and Redemption has been at 8.7 for a long time, now its 8.6. Same with MLC.

Ending is ambiguous, but it could mean a season 2. Story is purely a revenge drama. No romance at all.

With this show, it makes sense. But I do hope axe guy survives and becomes a good emperor.

Cheng Yi, is the king of angst 😂, but watch Love and Redemption and Immortal Samsara, its very full of angst, but the endings are worth it.

If you watch 1-18, skip 19-30, then watch 31-36, you will enjoy it. Cheng Yi barely had any scenes in ep19-30. Or watch just 1-12 and just pretend that the drama ends in ep 12

Skip spiders till 19-28. There's no need to watch them.

I did read somewhere that there was an increase of male viewership for TJOL. It probably had to do with showing old style martial arts, more hand to hand combat and less special effects.
