Because if the transmigration really happened, it would mean that the present time is affected by the changes the characters did in the past. It has to do a lot with challenging historical events and the government does not want that.

I did read somewhere that there was an increase of male viewership for TJOL. It probably had to do with showing old style martial arts, more hand to hand combat and less special effects.
