i hope this drama will be like 'because it's the first time'. everyone was rooting for park sodam to end up with…
me too lmao! same with reply 1988; majority of people wanted deoksun to end up with junghwan, but i was always rooting for choi taek from the start, haha

I'm coming around to Ji Woon and Ha Won, but I still don't want Hyun Min with Hye Ji. Anyone else think she totally…
i haven't decided yet whether she faked it or not. i blame editing lmao. they'll probably reveal the truth in later episodes though

awww, why does everyone hate hye ji so much? LOL like, i'm #teamhyunmin and i ship him HARD with ha won, but, i don't think it justifies all the extreme hate for hye ji!

i mean, so far, she's been pretty harmless aside from the whole "i just want her to disappear" / "i don't want to see her at hyun min's side" comments in regards to ha won--but i think those words being said were understandable. she was hurt, and when you're hurt, you speak without much thinking and your judgement is clouded with anger and disappointment. she also said those words to a close friend and confidant (ji woon), not really as a threat to act upon per se.

anyway, i'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. she's mostly just boring and simple to me, and borderline pitiful because of her unending love for hyun min. i'm not gonna write her off and decide whether i like or dislike her yet until we find out WHY they broke up. i mean, if the girl can stay sullen for so long and make things so incredibly awkward and tense for her ex whenever they simply SEE each other, clearly, the break up was tragic AF! i wanna know why they ended things, did they end off badly, was the break up mutual, why was hyun min so initially adamant to avoid her, etc.

really tho, i'm most just interested in hyun min's past, tbh. there's so much about that character that we can delve into. (of course, there's also the mystery behind the bodyguard's identity / his connection with the chairman's wife, who ha won's biological father is, etc).

needless to say, this drama has certainly exceeded all my expectations! sure, it's cliche and incredibly cheesy, but it somehow manages to include all sappy drama cliches whilst adding a twist--making things more and more intriguing, lighthearted, and super fun--making you want to beg for more and more!

***** EDIT: i forgot to mention how i'm also still on the fence with hye ji even after the pool incident. i mean, they never really showed /how/ it occurred, so who knows if she faked it or not! for now, i'll blame the editing; i'm sure this was deliberate and they'll expose the truth to how the drowning incident occurred in a later episode.

This is a comment by the user Gkxxx I found on Asian wiki. It fully describes how I feel about this drama so Imma…
YES this comment is perfect. it's like, she's so consistently neutral and headstrong about not falling for simple sweet gestures, but all of a sudden, for whatever inexplicable reason, these principles don't apply at all to jiwoon...??? why is that??? jiwoon's the dude who'd been treating her like crap for so long; jiwoon's the guy who's just trying to shake her up to spite hyun min / appease hye ji. doesn't make sense at all to me, but like another commenter mentioned: i guess that's just how ~love~ works after all, right? sometimes, people fall in love with people they least expect and there's no logical reasoning behind it. disappointing, but very true.

oh well~~~ hyun min is still going to be my favourite character, and it's unfortunate because he was written up so well, only to be thrown aside like this lol. ha won's most likely going to end up with jiwoon, but i don't see the supposed 'chemistry' between them at all. /sighs/ honestly, makes the drama less enjoyable for me now, but i'll keep watching anyway!

MTE lol. I totally thought I'd get too annoyed to continue, but I'm honestly enjoying this drama way more than I probably should. It's so lighthearted and fun, haha

I already know I'm setting myself up for disappointment, because I'm sure Ha Won x Ji Woon is end game, but I'm still going to be so saaaaaaad if she doesn't end up with Hyun Min anyway, lol.

Hyun Min is charming, and he's always treated Ha Won sooo, so well (even when they did run into some mishaps, he's always had his own way of sort of apologizing). He doesn't have a bad temper, and when problems run his way, he rides them out and comes with mature conclusions!

I really don't understand the appeal for Ji Woon at all. Like, whyyyy??? He's so whiny and rude and hypocritical--and, apparently, very fickle, too (dude was in love with Hye Ji for a good hot minute, but now, he's somehow catching feelings for Ha Won too??? What??? How??? WHY?!). The fact that he even started pursuing Ha Won only to spite Hyun Min and to appease Hye Ji leaves a sour taste in my mouth, too.

Moreover, Hyun Min's past / struggles simply intrigue me more. Ji Woon's just so??? He's just there: seething and angry. Complaining about not wanting to be a Kang, complaining and degrading Ha Won for "only caring about money"--but then using that same Kang money that he supposedly strongly rejects in order to look down on her further. LIKE, what the hell dude??? Make up your mind! You act like she's so beneath you, but the reality is, everything you have is only BECAUSE of the family you supposedly wish to reject. Only teenagers can get away for being selfish brats, sorry. Jin Woon just seems so overwhelmingly childish to me!

TLDR: #TeamHyunMin lmao

Am I the only one...? I honestly can't connect with any of the characters, and the only reason I'm even choosing to continue watching until the end is because of how great this drama FIRST started out. I feel like half-way through the series, the plot just got super convoluted and nonsensical, and the main objective was lost :///

Like, I just can't engage with aaaany of the main characters at all--even during the most tragic of times where I'm supposed to be rooting for them--because ????? HOMEGIRL, YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH A MANHWA CHARACTER! Like, yes, W seems to be an alternate universe where somehow the ~real world~ supposedly gets intertwined... but ??? It's never been addressed how or why this alternate universe exists; not even the reason why the leads can flow between them. Additionally, none of this would have ever escalated if Yeon Joo never took the initiative to get mixed up with Kang Chul in the first place...??? I don't know man. There're a lot of things I'd like to discuss about this, but we're already so far into the series that I just can't address every single aspect, ha.

I just can't get into it anymore. All of the questions I've had, I've kept them stored, assuming that they'd all get answered gradually throughout the series (which is why I've been watching with an eager eye), but, nope! No answers, just an abundance of more questions. I feel like everything's just happening now for shock factor... Too bad, I really don't care for it anymore. I'm more just bored and slightly even annoyed because of all the inconsistencies.

(((says this all while intending to watch the series until the very end lmao)))

Who knows. Maybe I'll change my mind during the finale. There are still three more episodes to salvage this mess!

/end rant

I'm so happy I found this drama. It has the perfect combination of just enough lighthearted fluffiness, all whilst still tackling so many dark themes that mimic the struggles of many peoples' everyday lives, so precisely. Acting, pacing, everything--so far, everything has been executed in such a brilliant and unique way. Additionally, the mysteries behind the "ghost" and Eun Jae's past makes everything all the more intriguing.

I binge-watched the first four episodes in one day, and I find it amazing how I can somehow identify with each leading lady, despite how different they all are.

The movie was adooorrrabbbbbbbble. I mean, you'd obviously enjoy it 100x more if you're a fan of Chanyeol's, but…
I watched it at a movie theatre in my city. The movie hasn't been released from the cinema yet.

Title Uncontrollably Fond Spoiler
Everyone's been saying how they feel the drama is slow-paced and boring, but I actually would beg to differ. I sped through the first two episodes sooo fast and found myself really enjoying what I was watching! Lol, if anything, there were often times where things seemed to go from 0 to 100 in a flash, y'know? Like, really, where in the world would any of these things even happen?!?! *cough* Woobin being diagnosed with a random-ass, terminal disease *cough* Suzy's father's cause of death smh *cough* Still having such intense feelings for someone you (might of might not have... us viewers don't know yet) dated over ten years ago??? *cough* lolololol SMH!

I found it all very funny mostly, so I don't get how people found the first two episodes to be so boring?! Everyone and everything so far has been so OVERWHELMINGLY over-the-top and dramatic, that it was just too hilarious! But obviously, because this is a drama and is all fiction and these absurd events are used deliberately for plot devices, I can't even bring myself to hate! I just hope that the ridiculousness and far-fetchedness notches down just a bit in the following episodes and that we get less over-the-top drama and more cute, light-hearted, chill fluffiness, you know what I'm saying? Lol. Something more simple, something that mimics reality a little bit better.

Don't get me wrong, I love melodramas and sad stuff too, but damnnnn. This was just too much--to the point where I just couldn't help but laugh (during the most inappropriate times, too smh@me). It's hard to take something seriously when it attempts to be TOO serious, if that makes any sense.

Also, cinematography is A+++. This is a really high-value production, just based on visuals alone. Again, my only gripe is how (somewhat unnecessarily) EXTRA everything is lol

The movie was adooorrrabbbbbbbble. I mean, you'd obviously enjoy it 100x more if you're a fan of Chanyeol's, but all in all, the movie was just a pleasant, light-hearted story to watch as a whole. Plot isn't original by any means, but, it was still very much enjoyable to go out and see! Please do not spoil yourself with any snippets you see online and just go for it with an absolutely cleared mind!!!

+ Yuan Shan Shan is very loveable and charming~~ <3
++ Chanyeol's kissing scene was cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuteeeeeeeeee!!! Everyone in the movie theatre squealed and cheered him on!

if yuri and chanyeol are the main, this gonna be an awful drama. Don't get me wrong I love chanyeol but I don't…
It's been said that Chanyeol will only be playing a supporting role as the actual male lead's cousin. This will be a great learning experience for him, and his role is not large enough to be an actual hindrance to the drama imo. If anything, you're right--lol, he'll bring the EXO fans in for ratings, at the very least--but that's a great contribution in itself! haha

p.s. chanyeol was cute here, and was the initial reason why i even wanted to watch this movie in the first place! :D despite how small his role was, i'm happy he was given this opportunity to act <333
