Honestly I agree with this. At some point I even got tired of her being with all these men. She should have just left and pursed her life like she wanted so many times.

Honestly Feng Long was the only decent guy in this story, but there was zero romance between them 😭. If they had truly gotten married, maybe it would have been for the best, but like u said "the superficial romance dressing of the book / drama wouldn't allow for that." 😭

The amount of people that is mad about the ending, but FAIL to realize what is it was saying to the audience is crazy. Their deaths had a purpose, and it shaped how this entire season change people. But yea ig..stay mad..?

THANK YOUUU!! As I even said earlier, the type of love YaoJing have is an adaptable love. That is why they were a much better fit. They would both adapt to each other, which is better than a tragic love(XL), or eternal yearning(CX), and a person that she never loved (feng long)

Since the beginning of the show, I had my ups and down with this show and it mainly because of XY character, and the way she did things. But I still loved her and still saw through her character. I went for YaoJing because I KNEW he could be someone who would put her first and care for her (even tho he fucked that up so many times)

I won't deny it, if XL had left his duties, TSJ would have zero chance to ever be with XY. But please, he was never going to put XY first. That was what I even wanted alongside with XY, A man that would her first. TSJ is that person, and yes he failed once or twice ( I forgot how many) but he adapted and didn't fail her and won't fail her.

XY and TSJ is a type of love that is adaptable. If they can adapt, it can become healthy. That is my point, that is why I say YaoJing was the better fit ending.

Honestly I won't deny Jing's flaws, I was so disappointed when he did things OR DIDN'T DO THINGS. But my thing is why do people don't see TSJ was the best fit person for XY? Sure XY LOVEDDD XL, but could they ever be together?

If not TSJ, then who else? XL was never going to put her first, CX was....ugh but to her he was her brother, CFL never had a chance. Period. I never saw the connection between YaoLiu because I could tell they were doomed from the start.

And to add on to this. A lot of people saw romantic love between XL and XY, all I saw was a hopeless/tragic love. It was never going to happen, so why bother??

Honestly when I meet fans of LYF, they often don't like it when I say: "I love that XY chose TSJ in the end. Although they had a rough start, I have ALWAYS rooted for them since the beginning." In their mind, TSJ is indecisive, emotionally manipulative, and makes his personality about XY. And yes I won't deny those allegations because he was like that.

But honestly the reason why I say it is because I have known since the beginning XL and XY were NEVER gonna work out. I will never deny this to any fan of LYF. XL and XY had good chemistry (even though I personally never saw it.) but to me XL gave XY everything to make her move forward without him, but XY wanted his love, and HE KNEW. HE KNEW YET HE STILL LEFT HER EVEN THOUGH HE ALSO WANTED HER (My apologies for yelling, but y'all gotta hear me out!!)

I get XL had his duties, but my thing is if you knew you would prioritize your duties over XY why bother showing XY your "love" anyway? Giving her false hope? Making her think they actually had a chance??? That was why I never loved the XY and XL ship. All it was, was false hope, which I am glad I never fell for.

Now if were to talk about XY and TSJ, I get it. TSJ trait honestly, is horrible. I spent my entire rooting on him, only to disappoint me in end due to his indecisiveness, and the way he just did things to get XY love. But one thing I will never deny? TSJ would never leave XY, and as a person who keeps rewatching this show to understand these characters point of view, all XY ever wanted was a person who would never leave her. TSJ will give her that, and XY will learn how to love him truly. And we can pray TSJ leaves his habit of "If you don't love me, I will kms." Like dude shut up with that shit.

Please let me know your thoughts on this. Because after reading Tong Hua's Q&A, it made me stand more strong for TSJ and XY.
