I love this. Best revenge drama I've ever watched, so satisfying that everyone got what they deserved. And yet... I would have liked if a few things happened: 1- for all the people to learn that Yeon Jin killed So Hee and Myeong Oh, and that in her teens she (along side the others) bullied So Hee to her suicide, bullied Dong Eun and Gyeong Ran (for example, a similar reaction from the public when the video of her bullying So Hee was published), 2- that they would do a proper autopsy to So Hee's body (they froze the body for a reason!), 3- for So Hee's mother to find out that finally, her daughter's killer and bullies got what they deserved, 4- like I said before, for everyone to know ALL the bullies, not just Yeon Jin, and for Jae Joon to pay as the rapist he is (although his ending was great, not gonna lie). It's disappointing that we never get to see these things play out, they happen all behind the scenes, I guess. I just think it would've been more satisfying to watch all that. But oh well, they still paid for their crimes, so that's good.
Darn, what a man (Do Young). Like, don't get me wrong, I love puppy/himbo-like guys like Yeo Jung, but I also love guys like Do Young... a very attractive, very dashing, respectful and mature man, a good husband/father. I shipped Dong Eun with him, or well, I shipped him with *me*, lol. Like, I'd love to watch a drama with him as the main romantic lead, or I'd like a book with someone like him as the lead. Because, again, he's just... perfect.
I love how Yi Chan is the perfect son/grandson. So kind and nice with everyone, so helpful and selfless (well, monstly 😆). Cheerful and easy-going. Such a positive light.
Ending was okay... but it could've been so much better, it was disappointing that they couldn't prevent Lee Chan's accident, despite everything. And there were so many plot holes (what happened to Se Kyeong's Father? What happened to Cheong Ah's mother? What happened to Se Kyeong and her husband? ex-husband? in the present. What happened to the a-hole who hit and run? And so much more). So yeah, it was okay but it disappointed me big time. The good scenes in the ending weren't enough for me.
I usually like revenge dramas, but when the revenge gets extended so much, I end up not liking it anymore. Like,…
Same, I agree with all of this. It would've been so much better this way, imo. It's sad that her mother and Su-Min's father didn't get a punishment all that harsh. They deserved worse, tbh :/
Cheong Ah, best character. I will die for her ♥️ At this point, I'm skipping all the scenes with Se Kyeong and Eun Gyeol, only watching the scenes of Cheong Ah, Yi Chan and her, and the family (Lee Chan and Eun Gyeol).
I want a drama focused solely on a relationship like Cheong Ah and Yi Chan, so if anyone has any recommendations, please tell me, and thanks! ♥️
No, the daughter isnt inside the mother's body. She just looks like her mother a lot. She time travel the same…
Yeah, I understood that (that it's her own body, not her mother's) after watching the ending of the episode. And I understand that may be the reasoning behind using the same actress for both characters... but I'm still disappointed. Oh well.
. I was both happy and disappointed with the news that Se Kyeong is actually her daughter. I absolutely love, love, looove isekai / transmigration stories. It's my favorite manhwa / manga genre. So I was really happy when it was revealed it was the daughter in the mother's body. But I was disappointed to find out it was the same actress? Like, I was expecting a different appearance / looks for the daughter. Ot at least make the actress have a different haircut, or hairstyle, so as to separate mother from daughter. But nope, they're exact copies. So disappointing. Sure, the daughter cuts her hair after she time travels, but I wanted a more significant difference before that. Or at least have a different hair color? Wear glasses? Idk. Something! . There are plenty of actresses who show their potential, their talent, by portraying two different characters with different looks but still being the same actress. But not with this one. It's not even the actress's fault, it's the writer's / director's choice I guess. Anyway, disappointing 😞
Episode 6 question, so spoilers for those who haven't watched it yet.
. What happened to Cheong Ah's mother? I didn't understand their final scene together: did the mother leave Cheong Ah? Abandoned her? Or did someone separated the mother from the daughter? (I thought maybe the father???) Because the mom seemed really sad and like she didn't wanna leave, crying so hard and all.
Now that I think about it... the FL and ML in this are so much like the FL and ML of The Villainess Turns The…
The FL making her revenge as slow as possible, and as painful as possible (for the enemy). The ML does whatever the FL wants, so much that he seems "her accesory", something for her to use as she likes. Huh. No hate on the pairing or the drama. I was just thinking about how similar they are.
Now that I think about it... the FL and ML in this are so much like the FL and ML of The Villainess Turns The Hourglass. Episode 11, there was a scene that made me think "Power Couple!", and thought about the couple of TVTTH.
The only reason why I keep watching this, is to know if Yang Ju-Ran gets better from cancer or not :( I really like her, so I hope she gets well soon. I also ship her with Mr. Lee ♥️ I seriously hope she divorces her husband and ends up with Mr. Lee instead.
I was watching episode 11 and from the middle towards the end of the episode, I found it difficult to keep watching.
I usually like revenge dramas, but when the revenge gets extended so much, I end up not liking it anymore. Like, you ruined her life already, congrats! Well done! But enough is enough, isn't it? She's already on the ground, maybe it's time to stop now. Same thing happened while reading the manhwa The Villainess Turns The Hourglass. The FL spent all her time on the revenge, and continued even after it was enough already... it wasn't entertaining anymore. It was just torture of the "villain". Idk, maybe it's my empathetic side speaking, but... it's hard to watch. At this point, Ji-Won (and everyone else) seems to be torturing Su-Min. And the romance or the other characters aren't enough for me to continue watching, honestly.
At this point, I'm skipping all the scenes with Se Kyeong and Eun Gyeol, only watching the scenes of Cheong Ah, Yi Chan and her, and the family (Lee Chan and Eun Gyeol).
