One of my favorite Chinese dramas ever and I give it a 10. I really enjoyed seeing the Qiao family grow up from their struggles to their happiness. The siblings bond in this drama was excellent. I thought there would have been more flashback scenes with their mother when they were children. But they only showed her in the first and couple of last episodes. I felt relieved that Yi Cheng didn't die at the end and choose to live. Their father passes away in the end. The message across was how he passed away and his children were let go free. The Qiao siblings still supported him no matter how badly he didn't support them. I loved each Qiao sibling. They all but Si Mei found a partner they married. It was just touching seeing the Qiao siblings with their partners who are now their sister/brother in-laws to each other eating at the table.
This drama reminded me in a small way of a Japanese drama called Hitotsu Yane no Shita (1993).
I just started watching this after Go Ahead and I really love this already. I have watched 10 episodes so far.…
Finished episode 24. So Yi Cheng and Xiao Lang got divorced. It happened quietly. She sent him the divorce papers over seas. I should have saw it coming that the moment she left to go over seas, they wouldn't be together again. I liked them at first but when she stole his work and copied it for herself, I knew she wasn't it. Also she didn't like Yi Cheng's siblings too. All three brothers got divorced Yi Cheng, Er Qiang, and Qi Qi. I want to see Qi Qi live with his blood related siblings now. But Yi Cheng may have found a new partner in Xiang Nan Fang.
I just started watching this after Go Ahead and I really love this already. I have watched 10 episodes so far. There is already so many couples that are teased for each sibling/family member. Yi Cheng is currently with Xiao Lang and I started to like them together. But I have read from comments and elsewhere that many people don't like her. Welp I wonder why is that?
Episode 8: So Todo and Suzuma were the kidnappers but only for Tomoka. The real kidnapper kidnapped everyone else including Koharu Todo's daughter. I don't even know anymore who could be the main kidnapper. So my next crazy prediction is that could it be someone within the police like Katsuragi. I don't really know who is this kidnapper and why. I just expect a good explanation for their intentions for all of these kidnapping they've done.
I just finished episode 6 and a culprit was shown. At the end Haruto finds what it looks like Tatewaki Kanako putting the money into a bag at a location. In the preview for episode 7, we get a better look and it looks like her as well as they are saying Tatewaki Kanako is the ringleader. Also someone used a taser on Haruto when he found out it was Tatewaki Kanako. So it looks like there is at least 2 culprits. You know when it was mentioned in the episode that the smell of the kidnapper had perfume and their body was smaller, I had a suspect in mind. The idea was changed to that the kidnapper is a woman now, I thought about it could it be that lady who is Haruto's coworker at his company. I wasn't expecting Tatewaki Kanako to be one of the culprits. I am kind of let down.
But there seems to be more working with Tatewaki Kanako. I don't believe she is the true culprit of the kidnapping case yet. I need to find out the reason to why she did this. I still think Todo is the suspect.
I still suspect Todo. He is the only one so far that doesn't have a family and failed his kidnapping case. How many more friends does Haruto have that has a kid for the kidnapper to kidnap? I hope it makes sense somehow to who the kidnapper is and why.
I thought all this time the police did want to save their daughter along with their main goal arrest the criminal. They didn't give me the impression that they didn't value the hostage until now. Well I am surprised the plot is changing early. A time skip to like a year and the culprit might be back to haunt the Narusawa's again like how Katsuragi said at the end of ep 3.
I have major expectations for a big reveal to who is this culprit. Based on the clues so far, it might be some new character but I just want it to be one of Todo or Miwa.
Thanks but I know that the songs of the ost are uploaded. I meant the soundtracks they used like the instrumentals not the songs that aren't uploaded/available.
Is this the first time for KimuTaku to be in a drama set in a school setting? I'm really intrigue by the lessons he will teach about how boxing can be important.
I hope they release the OST of this drama soon or one day. The songs used were good but I the background soundtracks were good as well.
This drama might be a hidden gem. It is not cliche as many other dramas. I love the slice of life and drama part. Character development in the drama was top notch. Even the development they made to how the second couple is formed was fun. If there was a sequel it would focus on them more. The thing I worry about for a continuation is what other obstacles or drama will be there for Jiang and Lu Miao. It might be good to end it like this.
My favorite episodes where when they both learned to ride a bike and the costume contest they went to.
I highly recommend this drama to anyone. Edit: All this time I thought this had the romance tag but it didn't. Wow. Now it makes sense to why there weren't any romance teases.
This might be a unpopular opinion but I found the drama more interesting in the beginning and middle with Lin Zhi Xiao's father in the hospital and when they weren't a couple yet.
I finished episode 2 and I am confused to why the Narusawa's are obsessed with not allowing the police to help them at all. I know the kidnapper told them to leave, but they insist to not gain their help even in secret. At the end when they trapped the police, I couldn't feel proud or such as Haruto and his friends were when the police were forced to give up.
I felt like they should have followed their plan by keeping one police in their house to trick the kidnapper. Now they will go alone with their family and "friends". It would make sense if the police in this drama were seen as selfish or harsh, but they weren't like that. These people want to help you and you reject them.
This can be their downfall and I won't feel sympathy for them if it happens. They let their friend Todo in the house. He is a former detective and knows stuff about the police's plan. Now that the police "can't" help them, he is in control if he is the kidnapper.
They need to start showing Tomoka as a hostage in a place soon or else this is getting suspicious. We need more from the kidnapper than phone calls with an AI voice.
I just seen episode 1 and will make my prediction on who I think is the kidnapper. I think there are 3 top suspects. Their daughter Tomoka, Miwa, and Todo. My prediction is that I think their daughter Tomoka has schemed this "kidnapping". As I recalled, they didn't show her tied up or at a place yet. The calls her parents receive are from an AI which she could use instead to trick them. Then again the kidnapper could do this as well. But why I think it is their daughter Tomoka is because of the question that was asked to Haruto. It was about where was her field trip in 1st grade to which he couldn't answer. Now why would some kidnapper ask this question? That would mean they are close to the family and know about her past. Tomoka seems like the top choice that fits it. I think she set this up to get her dad to care more about the family than before.
Now the second suspect is Michiru and Haruto's college friend Todo. The detective Katsuragi mentioned how the question asked by the kidnapper was similar to a case he dealt with in the past. Todo was mentioned as a suspect. Coincidently he is friends with the Narusawa's. If Todo is the kidnapper, I wouldn't be shocked if the other friend Miwa is his accomplice as well. Although I don't get why he or they would ask the question about Tomoka's field trip.
This drama should be interesting. It's got a good cast with notable names. Mystery dramas are always interesting to watch as I play along.
I really liked the first half of this drama from episode 1 to 6. Then from 7 to the end, I didn't like it as much. But the last episode won me back again. I wished there were more action or fighting scenes with Yutaka (Takumi). The plot twists in the second half of the drama didn't meet my expectations. The romance between the two leads was fun in the first half. The second half of the drama made me not want them to end up together. Also the plot twists and reveals in the second half confused me to those characters actions in the first half of the drama.
I'm currently watching and it's alright so far. But why isn't there any or more background music or sounds in the drama. It is very quiet seeing them talk. I sometimes fall asleep
I finished it and I am upset about one scene we didn't get. When F4 had a picnic with Caina. F4 dressed as they are in the cover image of the drama or I would say like high schoolers. Caina was in Shancai's role and she was dressed like a high schooler too. I waited towards the end and we didn't get a scene of this but with Shancai instead. I just wanted one scene of F4 and Shancai together dressed as they are in the cover image for the drama.
Also the wedding scene at the end confused me more than spark joy in watching. It felt so weird watching how it happened.
