I really loved this drama. I'm a fan of both leads Huo Wallace and Mi Yang so I was hooked to see them as a couple. Although throught the drama they go through hardships where they aren't together and she is with the other guy for a bit which sucks. But when they were with each other they had pretty good moments. I thought the plot was interesting and hooks me throughout the drama. Like watching to see if the siblings will/when reunite or how their revenge plan will unfold. There were moments that made me feel happy with the characters like reunion or accomplishing their goal. The lead characters were quite likeable. The acting and details of the villian in this drama is believable that it's easy to root against him but he is powerful to overcome. The drama had a mix of things that fit like drama, family, romance, or business. I think more people should watch this drama.
Let's go! I just found out today that radiation house season 2 is coming in october this year. I'm still waiting for the special to be subbed to see the aftermath of season 1. Hearing about season 2 of radiation house got me excited. The first season was really enjoyable and I loved the whole cast along with the 2 leads. I can't wait to see more Igarashi and An-chan moments!
Pretty good for our first actual student that wants to take the class with a background story. Maybe I missed something in episode one but I don't remember if Koichiro declared to enter the class but he wasn't really the main focus. They really did a great job in the writing of Kaede's character that I am willing to cheer for to succeed. It seems that Sakuragi has 3 students on his side the 2 bald guys and Kaede now. I really disliked how the badminton coach and that girl weren't punished for their scheme that they did to Kaede. It looks like Kaede will have to later on learn to make her own decisions as her parents are still telling her what to do as they don't care for what Kaede wants to do.
I can't remember if this Sakamoto character was in the first season or not because I don't get why he is helping Yoneyama. Next episode looks very good as the class looks to begin with 4 students? I think the next episode will focus on Akira or the glasses guy. I am leaning towards not liking this revenge scheme of Yoneyama on Sakuragi so far. I'm not seeing the purpose of it being needed to the story as they need to focus more on the students and the test prep. I think once Akira wants to join the class he will be the Yamapi role of the class.
I just finished the first episode and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed school j dramas from the 90s and 2000s. It seems like today the school j dramas aren't common anymore or aren't as good as they used to be. It's been awhile since I watched Dragon Zakura (2005) but I kind of remember why it was cool when I watched episode 1. I like how Sakuragi makes a speech to the school a bit similar to how he did in the first season. It felt like it adopted some stuff from GTO with the way the students are secretly rebelling against Sakuragi which might not be great. I hope it doesn't take much episodes to get one or few students they can teach because that was a focus that made the first season great.
The second season does feel weirder with the fact that the students want him out and that student who failed his exam from the past is gonna get his revenge on Sakuragi it seems. I like the lesson he taught at the end to those 2 thugs. I'm curious to how they will mix everything together with the whole revenge stuff with the students rebelling and Sakuragi and Mizuno teaching.
Their goal was 5 students to pass their class so it seems like at least 5 students sooner will decide to take the class but the question is who and how long. I'm sorry but man I don't recognize any of the actors or actresses that may portray as the students in the class. If you look back at the first season of dragon zakura, you probably can think of the names in the cast like Yamapi, Aragaki Yui, and Nagasawa Masami. I don't know much of the newer Japanese actors and actresses so I don't know how popular these ones are that are playing as the students.
I thought the first episode was a typical romance drama nowadays. I feel that Ayano Go's character is too cliche. To be honest if this drama wasn't about romance and more about Ishihara's character teaching about the importance of the ocean, I would still watch it and enjoy it more.
It was genuinely a surprise to see Tomita Miu, always liked her in Switched. Unrelated to this drama but I wish…
I feel a bit similar to you as well. It wasn't the best mystery case for a first episode. I just think it's too comedy. When I found out about this drama I just saw the cast and was hooked with little information about the plot. I didn't realize until watching the first episode how comedy it was. I kind of thought this was gonna be similar to a cdrama called detective L.
I agree about how romance shouldn't just be limited to shoujo comedy. It doesn't have to be the main genre but at least if some romance was put into likr a detective drama, it would be interesting and refreshing than the typical shoujo.
After 9 episodes, I dropped. I only like the main character Qin Lie. I like his background and the people of his home. The female lead was kind of meh. It was hard for me to follow along with the plot. I didn't like the characters outside of the people of Ling.
The show is tagged romance though there was not any romance in it at all. I also didn't like how Masao cheated on Mifuyu and the hospital but ends up not punished or anything. It was a good drama for a medical drama but when I saw the romance tag and the leads KimuTaku and Takeuchi Yuko, I thought they were gonna end up as a couple but nope. I don't know if there is a good Jdrama that includes medical and romance
Currently on episode 34, and honestly, I'm struggling to get through (and it's been that way for a while). I really…
I felt the same as you while watching. Those episodes arond the 20'sand in the 30's I believe were some I didn't enjoy. I didn't like the FL too but as people told me later on she becomes more likeable which I did like her more later on. Yeah the moment Wuji became the leaderand the sects are at the place, I was disintrestesd to when Wuji was more alone and adventure like.
