Only a few people noticed this issue, the rest of them are fine as long as it’s focusing the other lead. I must…
We seriously could have done without this slightly strange yifu relationship. Maybe if the age gap was not so apparent...

What a train wreck. I have skimmed through c-fan comments and all they care about regarding ZZS, literally in comments such as wife is so beautiful, wife looks so pale, wife looks glowing, looks like mother taking care of kids, etc. lol....it's so toxic. What tian chuang, what 7 nails, what pain?! Nonexistent and can not compare to our strong, great male lead and his brilliant revenge plans. Essentially, ZZS' character is just being treated an insert in where audience can imagine themselves being saved by the ML. Just another day in C-drama land. I might as well go watch a BG drama. Gets spoon feed pretty much the same thing in another format and script.

Random side note lol, but I'm probably the only one, I hate that red robe on him. I think the actor looks better in the white robe (epi 1) and that bluish robe (when he was drunk) and that green white robe when he beat up the beggar. The rest are meh.

+1 on the vase supporting its flowers. I was hoping I was wrong, but I knew it starting from episode 6 they were going to shift ZZS from driver to passenger. I haven't read the novel so I can't compare myself, but DAMN, the summary has ZZS as the narrator. They might as well list it as WKX journeys through jianghu revenging for his parents and oh along the way meets this pretty boy that does nothing but support his ambitions. Feels like every other old school BG. The rating for this drama already dropped in my books. How disappointing. Feels like there's some kind of heteronormative undertone. Hopefully the other pending BLs turn out better.

Why do people compare the untamed with WOH... I don't get.... Say WOH is better than The untamed.... How.....…
It's inevitable for the comparison being in BL genre. Probably will see an increase once we get Sha Po Lang and 2Ha. But what it really comes down to is personal preference. I couldn't sit through the flashback hell in Untamed. I love Xiao Zhan way before his big Untamed break, but even he was not enough to prevent me from flash forwarding 30-ish episodes of endless flashbacks. I'm also not a fan of Lan Zhan's character in the novel and in the drama. He was only good looking in the drama. Lan Zhan's character share similar characteristics to Ye Hua in 3 Miles and maybe an actor like Mark Chao could've saved this archetype character when played on screen.

lol. It's pretty hilarious watching their interviews.

I think it is good and may help very passionate drama fans draw a line and not get too extreme, as we have unfortunately seen in other dramas and the problems that came out of it :(.

why tf this got to be Chinese!!! they should have let Thailand do it!!! i am so mad!
I don't know if this is just seeking attention or actually seeking perspective. Either way, here are my thoughts on this:

I would not oppose to having more BL dramas to watch. More supply to meet BL demand. Thailand can certainly start adapting Chinese BL novels into dramas, but not with a few or several considerations.

Modern setting novels will be easiest to adapt as it would be a lift and shift (we have seen quite a few of these across Japan, Taiwan, Mainland, Korea, and Thailand). This would be realistically the easiest and most possible. But wuxia and xianxia, which are culturally centered around Chinese culture and philosophy, would be much more difficult to lift and shift.

I would imagine Thai script writers, producers, directors, etc will need to pretty much dissect the whole novel and determine what can be kept or retain to keep the essence of the story.
Culturally, what would make sense and not make sense in a Thai setting? Will the consumer appreciate the lift and shift? Or would they prefer the original material be filmed in that specific country? Is there similar time period that would fit the overall plot? What about clothing? What about the fight sequence? Is there expertise in-house? Are you going to outsource it? I think these are fair questions to think about. To me, these reasons are more cons than pros, which is why I believe Thai will most likely not adapt a BL wuxia or xianxia any time soon.

I'm not sure if you are aware but Nirvana in Fire and 3 Miles of Peach Blossom enjoyed enormous popularity during the time of broadcast, but we have not seen the other countries jumping at their chance of remaking because of the above considerations.

Yeah - I think at this point I am watching this drama only for the main leads - Its very rare to find such a combination…
Same! Overall, I am ok with it so far, but slightly underwhelmed by their liberty with ZSS' story/narrative. I'm not too inclined in how they try to beautify ZSS, given Zhehan is handsome no matter what, but that's really not his only attribute in the story. Reading the chinese comments screaming laopo don't really help either.

My theory is it may have to do with curing ZZS. I haven’t read the novel but it has been discussed that it has…
I think you're right. I didn't read the novel but skimmed the ending (like 2-3 paragraphs), it was Da Wu (I think he's Wu Xi in this drama?) that saved ZZS. He pulled the nails out. He was in a 3 month coma. Maybe the drama is taking some liberty with WKX's involvement in this?

or maybe all the love and worry/stress gave WKX white hair...lol

I would be totally onboard with this.

Yang Yang's aura was too strong in Love 020 (lol). I was not impressed with Bai Yu in Love020 so I put off watching…
Perhaps he hasn't been given a lot meaty roles to play with and blow us away. I didn't find Xiao Nai to be particularly challenging for him. I mean, let's be honest, Xiao Nai's character didn't have many flaws or emotional intense scenes. He just needs to stand there and look perfect.

I saw the movie version of Peach Blossom and I wasn't impressed with Yang Yang's Ye Hua. If let say he were to act as Shen Wei, I'm not sure he would be able to pull off or grasp Shen Wei's emotional depth.

He has a new drama coming out with Crystal Zhang and looking forward to seeing him in it.

Yang Yang's aura was too strong in Love 020 (lol). I was not impressed with Bai Yu in Love020 so I put off watching Guardian. It wasn't until I started seeing all these fan videos popping up that I gave it a chance. Thinking back to it, I think they had to tone done Bai Yu since Yang Yang is the male lead and he can't be overshadowed. I mean, Yang Yang is gorgeous but his acting is limited.

you can try and submit a request to viki or dramafever to see if they would pick it up.
i'm guessing it's because of more request vs less request?

I've watched 5 episodes of this so far on tv and just can't get into it :/ the story/characters aren't as interesting…
I was excited to see this but I can't stand the way they speak. They're going overboard with the rhyming.
