The way Zhu Yan thought that the Wen Xiao right in front of him was his own imagination is heartbreaking to hear…
That scene was everything. So far we know that ZYZ really loves her but WX's love before she left to cultivate Divine wood was in its initial stages. Spending 300 years away from ZYZ multiplied her yearning for him. That's why he also tells her that she seems different.
I am very much impressed with the entire cast. Filming these scenes is definitely not easy but everyone is outdoing…
I'm definitely going to watch out for HMH and TJR's future dramas. I hope they can continue to accept excellent scripts that show their true potential. CX's face might be a bit too impassive for me here, but she filmed really cool action scenes as PSJ.
Can you provide clues? Like what about the things you heard worries you. My 10/10 could easily be your 5/10.
I am enjoying the plot so far. Characters, both the protagonists and antagonists, are all strong and good at out maneuvering each other. ML is very strong - a grey character with a deep sense of empathy. FL is physically weak but she is witty and strong willed. The SML is also very strong and a righteous person of sorts. There are many side characters with interesting stories. This drama is about relationships - found family sort of drama - where people put aside their personal grudges to function as a team for greater good. While the drama isn't perfect, I feel that people hate for no reason. The romance is slow burn. Background introduction for all characters takes time here - and even 22 episodes in, we don't have all the background. Regardless, I like stories that slowly reveal everything. You can always watch couple of episodes and decide if you want to continue.

One thing that I keep seeing online is that writing is weak and there's no plot. However, I disagree. While writing isn't perfect, it's not as bad as some people are making it out to be. The drama is slow paced - everything takes time. There are comedic elements - and I do feel that some of them are a bit misplaced. But without those elements, this drama would have been very gloomy and I can see its value now. There are slow, long but deliberate dialogues. Romance is barely there but it's a slow burn. Many of these elements can bother people. It doesn't bother me. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but I'm enjoying it so far. I'm glad that I didn't pay attention to online comments and gave FOF a try.
I swear if they arrive at the solution of Killing him (or destroying his core or something), and then sigh and…
True. Makes all their efforts so far seem futile. I do hope that they come up with a solution that is more effective. I don't want ZYZ to die. 😭 Realistically, for the drama to reach its climax, something shocking needs to happen. The most effective way to deliver that would be for ZYZ to sacrifice himself for greater good. (That's how most of cdrama directors think anyway).

I hope they don't come up with a solution that is so stupid but it might lead to that trope. We know that ZYZ needs to take out his Baize token in order to activate the formation. But presence of half Baize token in his body is helping him to hold on to his last strand of sanity instead of giving into to his blood thirst. Classic chicken and egg problem. If he takes out his baize token, he will immediately go on a killing spree and likely harm his friends in the process. So he will choose the alternative of asking ZYC to kill him. Perhaps this is where LL will come into picture to help ZYZ?
From the latest photos uploaded here, are ZYZ and ZYC going to fight in this weekend's episode?
I think Ep 22 will be all about the squad catching Ao Yin and freeing WX and PSJ from prison. Then they will focus on fixing Baize token. Hopefully by the end of Ep 23, they would have figured out some solution to free ZYZ.
What are those three doing going on a goose chase together tho? One or two is enough to capture Ao Ying. Shouldn't…
My understanding is that fixing Baize token is the top most priority as that's the solution to basically all the problems - even ZYZ's out of control malicious energy can be stabilized with Baize token. To fix it, they first need to get WX out of the prison, and Ao Yin is the key to that. So they are all chasing her, to get WX out of prison.
Ahh, this is the first time I’ve felt so torn while watching a drama. I'm absolutely obsessed with and in love…
One thing that I feel missing is more backstory on ZYZ's early days. We are being forced to accept at face value that he's very depressed to the extent that he wants to die, but what exactly led to this situation? I understand that blood moon started affecting him 8 years ago and he killed DHB, but he was depressed even before that. I am sure they will eventually discuss this in detail but right now, that seems to be missing - because I don't completely understand the reasons behind ZYZ's sadness.
TJR acting this episode was soo good.
PS: by demonic ZYZ, I mean that quarter naked ZY we all saw in today's episode.

I agree that BJ could have tried to come up with some temporary cure for ZYZ though.
