the familiar faces in this drama warms me. im actually pleasantly surprised by suzy's acting because wow did she improve! though some may argue, not enough. the plotline's fascinating and the pilot exceeded my expectations (which were low). let's hope it stays like this in the upcoming episodes.
not the worst drama, but also not the greatest there is.
there were so many faults and the way everything was wrapped up didn't sit well with me, probably because of the pace. the primary reason i continued and finished this was because of yeo jin goo and the curiosity for the ending, still... it let me down.
anyways, can't we just rename the drama to "The Bride of Bi Ryeom" lmaooo
jokes aside, Gongmyung is doing far better than what NJH is delivering considering they're both the main male roles because yikes.
the way bi ryeom said "humans are so weak and inferior. how can they lack so many things? but I envy that." i'm shook
sis, the dynamic and chemistry between bi ryeom and moora is iconic.
Not sure if it's only me but... none of the characters are likable? At first, I was interested in Gongmyung's character because I thought - oh, there has to be more to him than simply being a bratty childlike god who grew up under trying circumstances. But now I'm not so sure. Perhaps in the next six episodes, they'll reveal the reason behind his behavior towards the CEO? I mean, Bi Ryeom's story is barely touched upon throughout the drama. And those are the moments where we see his vulnerability, when he's not putting up a front.
Also, unpopular opinion (maybe?) but I enjoy the dynamic between Bi Ryeom and Moo Ra. As for the others, I don't feel a connection with, which is unfortunate.
Nine eps in and in my opinion, it's nothing like Sotus. Honestly, there's no chemistry between the two main leads. Even for the 'buildup' or the shifting dynamics, everything was just bland and forced. But I have to say I'm curious about Ming and Kit's storyline mostly because what we've seen so far from them felt natural. Definitely saves the show.
Made me feel warm inside no matter how damn cheesy and cringy it was. There are plenty of undertones in the drama that should be questioned but after all, you know what you're getting into. I enjoyed it. Something about the way Yuki Furukawa played the role immediately draws you in, he's so annoyingly good. I love character analysis so I wished there were more scenes that made us understand him more, then again, I've never seen the other versions nor have I read the manga.
It simply felt empty and very lackluster. Asides from the unnecessary thriller/suspense facets, there were cute…
Right? I don't know if it was because of the way the character was written or maybe it was meant to be one that had no character development but ah, what's done is done.
It simply felt empty and very lackluster. Asides from the unnecessary thriller/suspense facets, there were cute scenes between the two leads which made it salvageable. It still was a mess though. You don't even get to see half of Hyungsik's acting skills which disappointed me the most since I've been following him for the longest time. Trust me, he can definitely exceed what he's done here. Hell, he even did better in High Society (considering his character here and there are ALMOST identical). Between Minhyuk and Changsoo, Changsoo undoubtedly takes the cake in my opinion. But I'm glad this drama managed to bring some stardom into his name as an actor. He deserves it!
Far from perfect and yet, it hit the spots that needed to be hit. It may have been cliche at times but it was done in a way that didn't feel overbearing, how lovely! The outrageously stunning two main leads definitely helped, their chemistry was phenomenal. Also enjoyed the humor aspect of it and as others stated, it felt refreshing because the "drama" was light and kept to a bare minimum.
