As this drama is coming to an end, i feel like it this drama will mark a changing point in chenglei's career again.…
This drama truly deserves all the hype and praise. Every single person involved has done their job incredibly well — from the actors and writers to the director, camerawork, music, and editing. Everything about this drama is a masterpiece. I’m especially proud of Bai Lu for playing such a complex character flawlessly. I’m happy she’s moving toward more serious roles and not just bubbly, chirpy characters. The range of emotions she displays here is absolutely astonishing. I’ve watched almost all her dramas, but this one surpasses them all. As for Cheng Lei, I first noticed him in LOFG and liked his acting there, though his role felt more reserved with fewer displays of emotion. In this drama, I was surprised by how much emotion he can convey. He’s incredibly skilled with micro-expressions; I had to replay several scenes just to appreciate his performance. This drama is a masterpiece and a masterclass for other shows
Whoever is incharge of bgm and ost are excellent!!!
Absolutely! I had mentioned this before, the background score, ost and even the silence in the drama is absolutely brilliant. I can't stop appreciating it !!! I have watched way too many dramas, but never paid attention to background score like this.
rewatching ep. 1 again!! 😍 so many things are becoming clearer.....the whole house plaque thing was engineered…
Even though we all know the empress is the main villain. But in this drama the villain doesn't feel like villain, they aren't as vicious and scheming as they are in other dramas. ( I hope someone would be able to relate to me about this)
Before ep 32 ... Did prince ding genuinally love ye li ? He always knew she has mental illness but he only showed…
He really did love her, that is why is he was so badly hurt and couldn't take that she was with him because of a promise and guilt. He wanted her to be free of her debt and live without obligation.
Ep36 preview. What is the sister in law upto again??? Why can't she sit still and do nothing? First she ignored her son because was caught up some rituals to see her dead husband (scam).
Then she brought Sui Zuidie home, knowing well about the history she had MXY.
Then told the incident of getting a divorce letter from her husband because he didn't want to drag her down and for her good. And him taking it seriously.
And now aphrodisiac incense??? What is wrong with her ? My guess is she would have done this for some stupid reason again.
Episode 33 was full of emotion. Mo Xiuyao stayed patiently by Yeli’s side, letting her live a slow, peaceful life in Lishan without forcing her to confront the past or demand answers. Bit by bit he helped her understand that she wasn’t alone and didn’t have to lock away all her memories. Gently, he guided her back toward the truth. When investigators were sent to Lishan, he wouldn’t let them barge in and shatter her fragile peace. He made sure Yeli was ready to face what had happened before anyone disturbed her quiet. The whole episode felt calming—slow, serene, and deeply thoughtful.
He is back with her, and the guilt is really eating him. But yeah I think we can say that angst is somewhat over between our Moli couple as only the mystery about what happened in Lishan academy is left to unfold.
Writing that divorce letter was one of MXY’s most painful decisions, but seeing Lishan Mountain now is tearing him apart a thousand times over. Every time he looks around and remembers how Yeli lived there all alone, never once complaining, another piece of him fractures. There is no crueler punishment than watching the woman he loves reduced to a shadow of herself: drifting through hallucinations, losing the sharp memories that used to define her. When you look at Yeli now, the light is gone from her eyes. She seems small, bewildered, and almost naive, nothing like the brilliant woman who once filled the mansion with warmth and laughter. Her radiance, which once pulled him close, has faded, and every glimpse of her emptiness drives Mo Xiuyao deeper into guilt. He loves her deeply, and that love makes every moment of her suffering his own.
Yeli is hurting, but a fragile part of her still protects her. It holds her together for now, until memories seep back and the cracks grow. Each memory wounds them both again, and every time she falters, he feels a little more shattered.
I haven’t cried during a drama in a long time, but today’s episode broke me. Yeli clutching her chest as if her heart were breaking, and Mo Xiu Yao suddenly greying overnight — the physicality of their suffering made it impossible to look away. Every emotion felt painfully raw and pure.
Bailu and Cheng Lei delivered performances of incredible depth and honesty. I’m so proud of them for bringing this to life.
