both feature an eerie apartment complex in which people die or disappear, and the main character who has no idea what is happenning/just wants to survive. strangers from hell is certainly more explicit, as it has graphic violence, and it's more about the monsters hiding within people, while the grotesque mansion features the supernatural; though, in grotesque mansion, most, if not all, characters are also flawed in some way and are morally grey.

the cure might be much more unsettling, but both movies are good at maintaining the tension throughout. the cure is about a detective investigating a wave of murders and coming across a strange man, while in grotesque mansion, the main character wants to investigate the paranormal mansion for his webtoon.

though noroi is a documentary-style movie, both stories revolve around a curse and a main character who is trying to investigate what happened and comes across some inexplicable, paranormal things.

both dramas are centered around justice and getting revenge on the bad guys. while kurosagi is about a swindler, taxi driver is about a secret organisation that helps victims who weren't protected by the law. you could say both dramas feature a kind of vigilante dynamic.

similarities:
-both dramas are centered around fraud and revenge
-both are thriller and mystery, as well as having no explicit romance
-the main character in both dramas has a tragic past and keeps people at a distance
-both dramas' leads hide their true motives behind a certain persona, or multiple
-both leads use their intelligence and charisma to achieve their goals
-both dramas have a character who is the opposite of the lead: naive, optimistic, kind and has faith in justice, intent on using law to punish the criminals, therefore clashing with them, even if their goals are of a similar nature.
differences:
-in bengoshi sodom, there is a courtroom setting, and the lead is a lawyer, while in kurosagi the lead is a swindler
-in my opinion, bengoshi sodom has a bit more action, which can be cringe for some, but I still enjoyed it
-kurosagi is a little longer
