Just 10 episodes in and all I can say is that this series actually deserves more than an 8.3 rn. I’m actually shocked to see such a rating basing on the MDL ‘present’ standard rating. I mean, ratings for series, 2-3 years ago, here on MDL tend to be in the range of 7.5-8.4 no matter how good something is (actually, that is a ‘kind’ estimate as I saw how 7.0-7.2 has been a pretty norm rating range for series released in the more previous years but yeah, good series = 7.5-8.4 i guess lol) UNLIKE now where it is so easy to see 8.4-9.0 rating for any series out (of course, I have no data to back this up but like, as someone who has seen my fair share of MDL series info, this has strangely been the current rating trend here lol). Anyway, 8.3 would have been a pretty good rating indicator YEARS AGO for a series to be commended here. Sadly, things (drastically) changed here on MDL.
Anyway, I haven’t rated yet as it’s still too early but so far, this is an 8.5–8.9 imo because of the good acting, neat script (so far), quite clean CG effects, and beautiful cinematography (drone shots and camera panning are just done amazingly that it is so beautiful to watch; I especially love the underwater scenes). Also, the action scenes are quite sequenced well (not including the first episode).
Watching Love at Night and can I just say I’m hoping to have a wuxia/xianxia pairing between ZYX and XLY too? It’s because their chemistry is oozing. The series is still not over but I want more series collabs with them as leads.
FC Giants finally making their appearance next episode. Also, FC Top Girls having a young gun in Moonbyul as addition. Rooting for four teams this season: Giants, Top Girl, Actionista, and World Class.
I don’t think this cast would happen but the idea of seeing Tong Yao, Zhou Yu Tong and Song Qian having interactions in BTS clips is something I am looking forward to see in the future if ever.
First time watching a lakorn from Mint and all I can say is I’m excited what the future awaits for her. Can’t wait to see her being promoted as a naek soon as she’s seriously both talented and gorgeous.
Speaking of my first lakorn of her though, I honestly adore her character. A lot of people think Petch is immature and selfish so they hate her character but tbh, I can’t find myself hating her especially with her growth during the latter half of the story. Anyway, I love her chemistry with Krating. I hope Ch. 3 would give them a lakorn as leads because their chemistry was fire in Praomook (it was fascinating how they can pull off both cute and hot tension for their pairing).
I kinda don’t like Porche as an actor. Idk! Either I find his acting lousy in a lakorn I saw him or the character itself wasn’t interesting for me tbw. But okay, I’m so up for this seeing Push, Sammy, and Mint (I didn’t know Mint isn’t a Ch3 artist anymore) in the cast list. I’m especially excited to see Push and Sammy’s chemistry though.

All the new teams are looking formiddable opponents but I’m still rooting for FC Giants. Haha. Also, I think I have a soft spot for Coach Choi Jin Chul so I can’t help but root for the teams he is coaching. Anyway, go FC Top Girl too! Lol :)
I might just watch this if the FL changes. First episode in and I’m part of the minority (probably) that didn’t feel the chemistry between JBA and LDW. So, I put the series on-hold after episode 1 but really, I’m thinking I won’t be able to appreciate it no matter how I prolong putting it on-hold due to the lack of chemistry so I might just drop it totally.

Yes! Been rooting for him since I saw him in TMOPB (then has watched some of his older wuxia/xianxia works). It’s really just so nice to see his development as an actor and the range of the series he is being casted at. Yes, we definitely stan a versatile and tall king! ;)

Exactly this! I’m actually even surprised they showed a lot of parts where the viewer can still take a glimpse of KSH. I remember shows where they totally cut all the scenes of a person after a rumor/scandal broke out. People should also realize that 2D1N crew aren’t being jerks for editing him out. It’s a hard pill to swallow but they needed to do that to stay afloat themselves in a society where the show can be cancelled as well. Do I think it’s normal? Sadly, yes! Though I don’t agree on it too but the cancel culture is rampant in their industry that they have no choice but to do that for the welfare of many (staff and their family included) instead of just one or two.
