hmm this is odd but it feels like this show has some "western" influences ive never seen a school drama like this. About half way through and its somewhat all over the place, its like the show focuses on the extravagant production but missed some cues on story telling. For example, the biggest con against this series is the use of montages to tell the audience how two characters feel about each other instead of giving us a couple of good flashbacks that SHOWS to the audience WHY characters feel the way that they do.
well if red flags means his MASSIVE communication issues, that then brought out some other issues with his relationship…
Your just giving a reason for story telling issues, most of romance stories relies on miscommunications but this level for grown adults is terrible. and yes i'm watching something while also critiquing it, that's how regular people watch and read fiction.
One kiss between Taeoh and Huiju, or between Inha and Taeoh, or Hyewon getting hit by the white truck and the…
after finally watching the latest episode, i'm convinced that the only reason the rating took a nosedive was because of the kiss between Taeoh & Hyewon lol
Many of the comments are pointing out the FL's acting and for me that hasn't been an issue. What has been an issue though is, what is the role and the purpose of HyeWon!!?? While we are only 4 episodes in for a 12 episode drama, I just don't understand the need for her character, its as if she's just there for the sake of a romance tag. Maybe I need to go back & rewatch the first 4 episodes but She wants to marry InHa for money? safety? the position of "the lady of Kangoh" ? what made her interesting to TaeOh? to InHa?
I asked this before but, why does InHa have feelings for HyeWon? cause it seems to me that he just started liking her since TaeOh had eyes on her. Funny enough even though the first 3 episodes establish the characters past, i wish there was something that showed us why InHa has such strong feelings for her & why Tae Oh was interested & vice versa.
On another note while the rich princess role usually annoys me, I find HeeJoo charming, I probably wouldn't mind if the main romance was between her and TaeOh.
I just finished the first two episodes, haven't seen 3&4 yet cause hulu took them down, but I'm a bit confused, are Tae Oh and In Ha actually friends? I understand that Tae Oh is using In Ha but I thought In Ha considered Tae Oh a friend? Why is he pursuing Hye Won when he knows Tae Oh has some interest in her?
The ex fiance was a psycho and felt like an unnecessary addition but other than that i thought it was a fine drama. Nothing new or exceptional but i did watch Perfect Marriage Revenge right before this one, and it somewhat has the same premise.
I do wish we got to see more of Lee Gi Kwang character, for a main lead he felt more like a supporting role. Tbh there are some supporting characters that had a bigger impact on the story than he did. It would have been a fun story if there was a touch more focus on Baek Eun-Ho & his lovesick puppy dog personality but i understand that's not the focus of the story.
I just thirst for a quirky male main lead that's in touch with their emotions, If anyone has any suggestions im all ears
I'm iffy on open endings, if done right i don't mind but in this case i really think there needs to be a season 2 to answer some questions that i have.
So now we have seen that Seo Do Kook also has a timestamp on his wrist and given how he reacted to Han Yi Soo drawings of the car crash we can definitely say he died in that car crash & went back a year earlier as well.
I think there is more to his story though, remember their 2nd scene together in episode 1, Do Kook said to Yi Soo, "Do you not know, or are you pretending to not know?" thought he was talking about her family but he could be referring to something else... Also, after she went back in time and met him for the first time at the restaurant, he reacted to her as if they had already met even though to Yi Soo this was their first time meeting and of course hes been dropping hints throughout the series that hes been in love with Han Yi Soo for a LONG TIME.
I may be over analyzing this but all this leads me to believe that Seo Do Kook has died and comeback more than once and fell in love with Yi Soo before, I wouldn't be surprised if he's stuck in a "time loop"
I thought it was fine nothing ground breaking and it obviously relied on a lot of troops, but the production & the acting was good. The last episode made up for a lot of the unnecessary angst of the last couple of episodes.
Man I love this show, haven't felt this good watching a k drama in awhile!
