boston doesnt end up single he ends up alone.. completely. he is the only character that ends up completely alone…
I think this is the correct take on Boston, hes not just single but alone and doesn't have anyone in his corner, he stated his father doesn't know about his personal life so im guessing his not even out to his dad, i think that's the heartbreaking thing about his character. He's a 22 year old gay man who doesn't want a monogamous relationship and for that he is punished.
What sucks for Boston though is that Ray specifically said that its Mew decision if Boston can rejoin their friend group and Mew showed no interest. Mew said they don't need to be friends and that he was only nice to him cause Chuem asked him to be. Notice during Ray and Boston finale scene together, Ray didn't properly say goodbye to Boston just a head nod, this man is leaving the country for New York and that's all he got 😅. Glad during the finale scene at the hostel opening, Boston sent them that photo, but i would bet there is essentially no communication between him and the friend group. I know Boston is feeling it, lost a man he genuinely seems to care about but just couldn't be his ideal monogamous boyfriend and also lost his close friends because of his actions as a dumb and promiscuous 22 year old. In my head he went to New York and found a group of queer people who accept him but Boston is making sure not to hurt them this time.
I think some people on here got it wrong, Mew has forgiven Boston. Mew explicitly states to Boston "I forgive you but I am not going to forget it. As for our friendship, it ended." Mew just doesn't want a friendship with him. One thing to notice about Mew is that he communicates his feelings and thoughts VERY clearly. One can forgive a past wrong doing but chose not to rebuild a relationship.
Ray:" Should I be jealous?... If you say so then I won’t be jealous. Besides, a hot boyfriend with good taste and nice dance moves like me, none of your exes can compare" and then strut walks away. Ray ladies and gentlemen 🤣
One thing thing about Ray, HE IS ALWAYS GOING TO TRY TO ONE UP HIS OPPOSITION AND WIN THE SITUATION, what a move to invite Boeing over to his house so he could observe how Sand and him interact, dude is so unpredictable. But that's the beauty of his character he is so unpredictable but once he makes a decision, he sticks with it and is intent to see where it goes. Another commentator had mentioned it but Ray is a person who doesn't want to wonder what could have been, he wants to walk down the road of uncertainty to make sure, even if he gets hurt in the end.
The sheer confidence but vulnerability at times Ray displays is something. Khaotung is doing such a great job in his portrayal of Ray, he is such a complicated character that would be easy to dislike, pretty sure I've disliked characters like him before, but Khaotung is nailing it.
I'm finally watching episode 10 & 11 and whenever there is a close up of him its just WOW, his face is so symmetrical, neat and just pretty. Shout out to his parents for their combined genetics & for bringing him into this world!!!
I want to start by saying I don't blame the actors. I think they are doing what the script requires them to do but they don't have romantic chemistry. What the two actors give off is a bromance/ best friends with some awkward moments vibe.
When i first started the show I loved it but since they became a "couple" ive been losing interest & its cause of the good friends dynamic they give off. Midway through episode 8 I made a mental switch to look at Kang and Sailom as a bromance and i was finally able to finish the episode & even enjoyed it! I want to see how their story ends so I'm going to stick with it but I'm glad i was able to make that mental switch.
They are teenagers & probably each others first partner so it makes sense why they aren't all over each other. This show is clearly aimed at a younger audience which explains the actors portrayal of the characters and you know what? that is perfectly ok!!!!
Ray asking how many people would cry or be happy if he were to die and then asking Sand to sing a specific song at his funeral has me worried, sounds like foreshadowing. Chekhov's gun folks 🙁
I haven't seen the mini series that proceeded this so i came in completely blind and I LOVED IT. This has to be one of my favorite bls everything was executed so well, from the actors, the story, the writing, and overall production. This was realistic without being too melodramatic. Applause all around for the team behind this👏
Coming from mainly watching korean bls, its nice to see a long format show with actor who aren't afraid to show intimacy without looking awkward. The actors were able to match their body language with the script and dialogue which made for a great show, the two leads were really good and fully committed, they had GREAT chemistry. Shout out to War, he is as cute as a button!!!!
This was fluffy and cute and definitely for a younger audience but I really liked how they addressed insecurity and trauma from being bullied. Really enjoyed how the writers & Phuwin wrote and portrayed Pattawee insecurities and how it isn't easy to overcome just because someone gets a makeover. Show had some heart and my goodness is Pond very good to look at, he just drips charisma!!! flirt game on another level! ALSO, i love that this show is a bl of the outcast makeover trope we've all grown up with up with, anyone has any recommendations like it?
I enjoyed the first two episodes and i thought the flirtatious nature and sexual innuendo of boss Jun was a bit different from what with usually get from korean bls, but the show just went downhill after that. Too much office meetings, too many side characters, and it didn't really develop the relationship between the two juns or at least show us employee jun falling for boss jun. Also, I DESPISED when one character kept calling employee jun unni, the show lost some points with me for that.
While the plot was thin and almost nonexistent, the two leads had nice chemistry and song hyunjae is just a walking green flag 🥰 . Ki Hyun Woo is so charismatic and has great on screen presence, but that may be cause he was great to look at 😅. It was great to see him completely head over heels for Lee Jun. Overall give it a watch if your not looking for something deep and you have some spare time.
Well from bingeing Fish Upon the Sky and then starting this show a day later 😳 didn't expect to see the same Neo, who played a goofy older brother in what was basically a teenage show, to play a uhh "promiscuous" backstabbing friend... this is such a turn around for me, my innocence is gone!!! only on episode 2 but my goodness its messy in a GREAT WAY.
i thought it was okay but i really don't understand kim ji oh falling head over heels so quickly, i know the novel was brought to life but if so did he really fall for Jung Lee Won or was he under a spell? wish they interrogated that a bit more. Also, i see Jung Lee Won has a fit body under all those baggy clothes!! 😝 There were some production issues though particularly the sound quality in some scenes, and in others, the microphone was shown hanging lol
This was very nice grown up BL and shows Korean bl have come a long way. There were some production & story issues here and there but overall I enjoyed the show. I thought the couples all had varying degrees of good chemistry but when comparing id say:
1. Joo Hyuk & Sung Min 2.Ma Roo & Min Woo 3.Lee Hyun & Kim An
It was really close between 1 & 2 but i thought the playful banter between joohyuk & sungmin won out at the end. The main couple had the weakest, the dead fish lip press by them was meh & they lost points with that lol, while Joo Hyuk & Sung Min had the strongest... I thought that before we got to the end of epi. 9 btw lol. Wish we had spin off series with the two of them, they work great together.
Ma Roo monologue to Min Woo in episode 9 was soo sweet & endearing, they had the 2nd best dialogue after the Joo Hyuk & Sung Min of course. SERIOUSLY GIVE US A SPIN OFF SERIES OR AT LEAST A NEW SHOW WITH THESE TWO ACTORS, THEY OBVIOUSLY CAN COMMIT TO A ROLE 😉
Maybe i missed it but why was that guy messing with kim an, i understand that they grew up together and maybe he got jealous when he saw kim an with lee hyun but i never understood his motivations, can someone help me out?
This BL is very interesting and its not something you typically see from a Korean bl, their interactions and the way Choi Jun flirts with Lee Jun is very much like what you would see from a Thai bl. The show is playing into the dom-sub thing that dominates in thai bls.
Ive never been one of those viewers who complains about the dead fish lip presses that counts as a kiss in some Korean bl shows, but if this bl is going for that type of flirtation and sexual innuendo the actors will probably have to be comfortable showing a bit of intimacy, NOT SAYING A BED SCENE, id never expect that from a Korean BL lol... but there should at least be a proper kiss.
