While i think there is some room for improvement with this show, i really enjoyed it and the fact that it offered something different from your typical bl.
Everyone is RIGHTLY talking about Lee Do Hyun & he did a fantastic job as he always does, such a great actor but…
Im talking about Young Soon having stage 4 cancer, didn't really feel it was necessary for the plot or for her character development. I do understand that they wanted to create an "urgency" with her actions towards Kang ho but i do wish the writers came up with something else. It was executed better than i initially thought though so i can't complain too much.
Everyone is RIGHTLY talking about Lee Do Hyun & he did a fantastic job as he always does, such a great actor but i have to give a shout out to Ra Mi Ran!!!!!, she did an amazing job in this.
The scene in episode 12 were she greets Kang ho and apologies was soooooo good. You could see the remorse & the anxiety yet relief in her eyes, she really nailed that scene like only a veteran actress can. Ive watched that scene several times and teared up each time.
The end trial was messy and I think a certain plot point was a bit too gratuitous and cliche but overall its a good show that has some moments that give you the feels.
This is a great actions thriller series, reminds me of My Name which i loved. The bromance between the two main leads was great, i think it took a backseat towards the middle portion but that makes sense as the plot came into focus. Its a shame what happened with Kim Sae Ro IRL, cause her characters story seemed unfinished but i get it.
The fight choreography was top notch, overall its a great action series!!!!
Anyone out there know of any similar series in terms of tone and execution?
on episode 3 and the plots is w.e for me, i have to go back to fully understand it, but what is keeping me around is the bromance between the two leads, they have great chemistry and they bounce of each other very well. The "argument" in episode 3 about turning on the grill was hilarious 😂
whoa last drama i saw Ahn Bo Hyun in was "My Name" & it came out in 2021 which is just two years ago but in this trailer he looks really different, looks like he lost some weight...maybe??
Exactly!! This one's my absooute favorite.. Loved waiting for new episodes.. every moment of it was so much fun..…
Yess Dynasty there is also "Dallas", not as good though. Other shows that are not about a rich family BUT campy & over the top are "Scandal" and "How to get away with Murder" and to a lesser degree "Riverdale"
Was on my watch list for awhile and happy i got to it. I fully understand why they had to do what they did in the penultimate episode, she needed to be "alone" to fully become a "monster". Wish there was a follow up, just an extra 2 minutes, though explaining what happened next. Overall good.
Had a plan, stuck with it and executed it FLAWLESSLY!!! Can't say that about a lot of revenge driven drama. A fun ride with great acting all around. This role really suited Song Hye Kyo & showcased her strengths and Lee Do Hyun never misses, hes such a great actor. Shin Ye Eun also did a great job because i HATED her character. I really have no complaints.
It had a stellar opening 2 eps, and began to unravel after that. A couple of us think so, but many are afraid…
honestly you listing all those things really does show that it was a lot lol especially since it would have been better to focus on a few of those thing and gave us more depth particular JW brother. Also i felt like the earlier episodes were hinting at something going on with ji hyun mother but im not sure.

im interested in where you think the show has unraveled? one thing that didnt sit right with me is some plot points are not explained properly (still confused why jaewon ignored jihyun after their first kiss) but my biggest critique so far is the production and filming, a lot of scenes just look odd lol. Also, ji hyun wanting to "fix" jaewon doesn't sit well with me.
Totally agreed with you. I don't think the ratings justify the quality of this work. Both acting, and direction…
Thanks going to add those to my list. If you don't mind korean bl, id recommend the The Eighth Sense, it just started airing but it looks like its heading into a more mature territory. Gives off serious "indie vibes".
