og seungcheon and yeojin get about 5 minutes of screentime together and those 5 minutes are always the highlights…
yup their chemistry is insane. Does feel like they are lessening the screen time for yeojin these past two episodes... i think they are trying to kill off that ship since i guess its an unspoken rule that the ML & FL must end up together lol
Does yeo jin actually have feelings for taeyoung (seung cheon)? Her reaction to him calling their relationship as "business partners" is telling me she might actually like him. Before i thought she just wanted to marry him so she could be "the lady of the dosin group"
man i got to say, i wish silly tae yong stayed around for a bit more lol you could tell Sung Jae was having so much fun acting like that. Sung Jae was sooooo much more charismatic in ep 9 than he has been in the entire show so far. Thinking about what type of show this could have been if that was the performance he was giving as the series progressed. sigh
I honestly think this was supposed to be a drama series or maybe a longer movie and plans changed in the end. There are a couple of plot points that were just dropped. Also when was this filmed? it came out in 20202 but i saw some stuff son woo hyun was in that year and he looks a little younger here.
ok currently on episode 10 (ep 5 in hour length format) and i get we are working with more info than the female lead but god damn it hes embarrassing you in front of his friends, GET A CLUE GIRL!!!
Nice for fluff but it feels incomplete, some story lines just fell off. Even the middle episodes could use more "meat and potatoes" ehh nice for a quick watch.
Because they have chemistry, FL is naive, plain and boring
I do not like Oh Yeo Jin and i cannot wait to see her get whats coming to her but having said that you are right SC and YJ have great on screen chemistry while i don't really see it between juhee and SC.
I thought the cast was good but the show was uneven and felt underdeveloped, some plot lines were ignored and/or not developed fully. Also, i just couldn't stomach the character with the dreads. I am happy that the show had a strong female lead and she beat people up BUT i felt the main leads chemistry fell towards the more friendly vibe than lovers. Overall a solid 7.
ehh managed to finish it and it was an ok watch, nothing memorable. Great actors throughout the show and Ji Sub did what was given to him but the show really didn't ask much from him and the others.
Where’s this negativity about the ratings coming from? For this week it’s #7 on Netflix for tv shows worldwide.…
Just want the national audience figures to hit in the teens, currently sitting around 6.5 - 7% would love a bigger audience as that would hopefully get more shows with this type of concept developed.
just loving this show, kinda of sad that the ratings aren't higher. I know that another season is already in production so I'm not worried about that, but i am hoping that this show can be a springboard to similar shows in the future. Hoping for a ratings increase.
best way to describe this it choppy. Its a short story but its fast paced and rushed. I think some scenes that could tell a fuller story were cut. Having said that the story was interesting and dealt with mature topics so I'm looking forward to the 8 episode drama.
I thought I was sensitive but man you are a little bit too much. They know each other before she became his temporary…
haha i completely understand why you dropped it. Im just hoping it gets better, i should start taking notes during some shows to better catch and understand some things.
I thought I was sensitive but man you are a little bit too much. They know each other before she became his temporary…
yes agree with everything you said, "why her" is missing something that links this relationship. Maybe they will do more flashbacks that link everything together but i wish we got that in the first two episodes or at least a slow burn relationship and then he realizes his love? idk
I love a good soap opera and steamy and intimate relationship despite their background could be fun but again there is hardly any chemistry between the two leads and i don't blame the actors.
The kiss that has not been mentioned since has been bugging me!!! she initiated the kiss and it hasnt been brought up since?? what!!??
Was going to write another post about the underutilized side characters and them just taking up space but episode 6 gave us some crumbs that i think they are going to pick up going forward but ill watch and see.
i'm going to continue to watch cause i think everything else other than the romance has been good... well something better than others, and like i said in my previous comment i think SHJ is killing it in this role but i hope the show sorts out the lead relationship.

lol you threw in all the buzzwords you could think of huh? The writers did a piss poor job of establishing a proper relationship between them. He has gratitude to a lawyer he met years ago and that translates to love... read comments from everyone on mld, most ppl are pointing out that they lack any chemistry between them and HIY is struggling to give life to a blandly written character. Given the lack of spark between the two (lets be serious here the romance element falls flat) its hard to miss the fact she is a professor and he is a student.
But i shouldn't expect a serious comment from an idiot who uses terms like karen, and toxic woke. I would say your comment was inappropriate but i don't expect much.
I want to like this show more but i cannot get over the relationship between the leads, its so inappropriate. She is a professor and he is her student and i cannot get that out of my head in their "romantic" scenes. Other than that i think Seo Hyun Jin is doing a great job, ppl are critizing Hwang In Youp but i think hes doing fine with an underwritten and poorly developed (in terms of his love for soo jae) character. His main problem is that hes sharing scenes with Seo Hyun Jin and shes eating everybody up in this show.
In the middle of the show so far and i wish the show went in another direction but eh have to judge the show on what they are giving me so far. The cast though is excellent and they are all doing a good job, but i HAVE to give a special shoutout to Kwak Dong Yeon he is PHENOMENAL. I've seen him in vincenzo and thought he was good but this role gave him more to work with and he is hitting every note. Really stunned he delivered this type of performance at 21 years old. It's the small acting choices he does that really elevate his performance, from the shifting of his eyes, facial expressions that really show how much hes holding in and going to explode, the "fake" smile, just a stunning performance. Also think Yoo Seung Ho is doing a good job he is so EXPRESSIVE with his eyes. All around good job from the cast.
I've been trying to get through this show for the past two weeks... and I'm on episode 3. The FL is just not doing…
well i stuck with it and the beginning is a drag but if you get through the first 4 episodes it really is a beautiful show. From my understanding a lot of Korean dramas are live productions so they must have told the female lead to calm down a bit with the histrionics because she really settles into the role. Again a nice show and I'm happy i stuck with it. Funny enough i felt it dragged a little bit but they could have had an extended finale episode, it would have been great if some key characters interacted more and had a longer "reunion" scene.
