hating on fls seems to be a trend these days...i personally love shin hyun bin as an actress...she was awesome in hospital playlist...can't wait to see more of her here

That's what I was saying. If these same behaviors were portrayed by some conventionally acttractive male lead, he wouldn't be berated at the slightest. Rather he would be called terms such as "cute", "whipped", etc, etc.
this one is a hit or miss tbh...some may like it and some might not, but this is one of the bls which has a great representation of the community as a whole. Yes, some moments might have been weird or cringe but really if one is looking for a heavy plot line with loads of twists and turns, then this ain't it.
But one thing really upsetting about the reviews is that most people are calling Toh's behavior to be "toxic" or "problematic", which although I agree is maybe a bit weird to some extent but certainly ain't problematic. As another user has commented below, what Toh did can't be called stalking. He never harassed or harmed Nuea in any way. He didn't even follow him outside of school or even at school. What he did at most was take a few pictures that too at public events and collect a few things (which might be a bit weird but certainly can't be called stalking, most of us if not all do weird things when we have crushes). Also to add, Nuea never, in any part of the series berated Toh for doing what he did, and even when he found out about the collections, he was more hurt that Toh still thought Nuea would leave him. As much as I remember he was never EVER weirded out by anything Toh did. Then can we really call this "romanticizing" stalking? It was more like, every action of Toh resulted from him having a deeply ingrained insecurity about himself and his appearance that made him think he wasn't as desired in Nuea's eyes.
many highly rated bls have shown more problematic behavior from the main leads which had been excused because the leads were "handsome", "masculine" and all other terms like that. Even in this one Sky was the one repeatedly following Khao even when Khao said he didn't like it, but he wasn't berated in any way for it but rather called terms like "cute" and "whipped". So my question is why is Toh called "problematic" and "weird"? Is it because his behavior is more on the side of what people refer to as effeminate? Is it because he is not a "masculine" and "dominant" male lead? Was it because he wasn't conventionally attractive in comparison to other bl actors?
This just shows how many people actually view the community or rather bls at a large. If both the male leads are not "masculine" then their behaviors aren't appreciated. Maybe calling them to be some sort of homophobia is over the top but I really have no other words to describe it, other than people having a deeply ingrained theory of how a top/bottom should behave in terms of a relationship, and how fem/trans characters are viewed in a series. As long as they are for comedic relief they are appreciated, but the moment they become the main leads, they are ridiculed and laughed at. Why are you watching bls, if you find certain parts of the lgbtq community to be cringe? (or can it be called some sort of fetishizing, idk, but this certainly looks like that).
All that aside, I loved the series. I was in stitches watching how over the top some of their reactions were, and all over this was one of the funniest bls with a lot of accurate representation. Also, the friendship of the group was really heart-warming. The way they hyped each other up and stood for one another was really cute lol. Who doesn't hope to have a friend group like that? Even the awkwardness that the show portrayed was done well. I don't know how many times I slapped my forehead and covered my face in secondhand embarrassment at the character's actions, but to admit, it was cute. Also, kudos to Toh's actor for portraying Toh so well. He did an amazing job in bringing Toh to life.
Also Daisy and Som are a fucking Queens. All my homies love Daisy and Som.
One of the best series I have watched...from the relationships between the two couples, the friendship between those three, Ayan being a walking red flag. I am not sure why some people found the plot boring, but for me, it was really good. They wrapped up the ends well. Yeah maybe the trailer gave hope about something supernatural, but I think this particular storyline gave enough time for their relationship to develop well. Honestly, this is gonna be my comfort series, a 10/10 without any doubt.
