honestly, I tried true beauty but dropped it early on. for me, it had a completely different vibe. I guess it wasn't exactly my cup of tea.
I did watch season 1 of eulachacha waikiki, and it was pretty fun, but then again, for me it had a completely different vibe than LR.

the title of the review is literally '"grooming" has never been more romantic', and in the opening paragraph the author says 'do not take the title of the review seriously - taking it at face value would be as misleading as the premise of the show'

so, if you want to know what this drama is really like and why it works despite the 'misleading premise', you should just read the review

by the way, I really recommend checking out terri and their friend's subs! they always link both raws and subbed episodes here, and their subs are amazing!
if you want to watch the drama with my subs, that's great, but I should probably preface that 1) it usually takes me a up to a week to sub one episode, and 2) I often stray from the original in order to make it more understandable to someone who's not well-versed in japanese language and culture.
while I may use and abuse things like translation by cultural substitution, omission, addition, or paraphrase, terri and their friend take great care to maintain the original phrases/concepts and explain them in a way that's understandable to all viewers, and that's really awesome! I'm impressed! keep up the good work! ❤
I think it's kinda great that many different people are subbing the drama, because we get to see the same characters and situations from different points of view.
