My interpretation was that In was in love with Siam when they were younger, they were super close and he had to repress his feelings. In seems like the kind of guy that would put the one he loves first. I think Siam did want to be with him, too, but In convinced him to get together with Mol because that was the "right" thing and he didn’t want Siam to have to suffer from any prejudice and homophobia. Then he isolated himself because even though he did what he thought was right, that didn’t mean him wasn't also hurt. I think maybe Siam might have tried to contact him, said he would break it off with Mol and be with him, but In rejected him and that's why he started drinking, it might've developed to the point where he couldn’t bear to be with Mol anymore. But there is also the possibility that he couldn’t accept his feeling and tried to force himself to be straight, so when Mol tried to force him to face the truth, he lost it.
