Clearly he has a crush on BFX and keeps that as a memento. And BFX is obviously drawing ugly fat pics of HFX bc…
lol, they were pretty straightforward too since he said that the guys at his clan would be willing to fight him over her even though he's HFX.

Def not the way to woe a lady. But since HC is handsome, I'll overlook his stupidity this once.
lol, sigh, good looks let you get away with so much. #averagelookingguy

His gang used to commit crimes. Maybe he wanted to know who to look out for and beware of?
Yeah, but BFX was always the anti-evil and righteous one, HFX mostly just did things that benefitted him and/or Fountain Abode.

If I were there, I would carry a HFX picture as well to cheer me up HAHA.He must have had a hard time so that's…
Hahaha, except it's an ugly looking picture. At least get one with his real handsomeness.

Okay, that was a cute scene and all, but why does this random dude just go around carrying a picture of HFX with him all the time? Someone has a secret admirer, perhaps?🤣🤣🤣

He thinks every girl wants to be an empress, showing he doesn't know bfx at all lol
Indeed, only HFX truly understands her. Though judging by some of the comments, there are quite a people few here who would take HC up on his offer, hahaha

He realized it had to happen on a remote mountain in the middle of no where so there would be no interruptions…
I think it's probably also partly due to them making that imagined scene so good. Ugh, don't even bring her up. Idiot Langhua (and her master too) seemed to have a decent amount of intelligence earlier on. wtf happened to that?

Hmm…in other dramas…it is mostly to regulate/center the inner force…for himself only as it was “turned…
I choose to fill in the logic gap like this. The flower power only kicked off the healing process in his body, but he had to make sure it proceeded smoothly or else he would've kicked the bucket too (it looked pretty painful, plus he had that power go wrong when he was first learning it too). And if he dies, nobody's left to save her.

Didn't stop me from still worrying as I was watching that something was going to appear to try to interrupt them. 😒

It feels a bit like oh-shit-we-only-have-eight-episodes-left-must-wrap-up-plot-lines.
Same here. I'm gonna stay positive until the end. Despite some flaws, it's certainly been enjoyable so far.

Title Who Rules the World Spoiler
I'm glad they snuck in a bit of sugar at the end of EP32 there. But it seems like everybody BFX cares about is going to die within the span of two episodes. 😭 Why must the main characters always have to lose everything but each other before their happy ending??? (I'm looking at you too, The Autumn Ballad 😒)

I feel that the script is getting worse, definitely suffered from all the behind the scenes drama with the producer…

Oh damn I missed the fact that is supposed "crippled" leg is now completely fine lol
I thought there was a line where his servant told FLX that his leg will heal after a while and it won't affect his walking. Maybe that got mistranslated in the subtitles, or maybe I'm misremembering...

FLX: *all the poetry and romantic sweet talk*
HC: "hey, wanna be my wife when I'm the emperor?"
And we see who gets the girl. 🤣🤣🤣

They used a term in Chinese that has no direct English translation. I personally think "soulmate" is probably…
Hahaha good point. Especially when it's immediately followed by a clearly-more-than-just-friends hug. 😂

That's so pretty. I wish she had the long sleeve on for more of it, but I get that it would be super awkward trying to do complex moves with that flying about.

No problem! I don't blame the translators though, trying to translate things that are heavily tied to cultural context is hard.

We’re all gobsmacked about it. 😅 There’s nothing romantic being called a bosom friend. It’s like LanXi…
Haha, you are not wrong. Seems like it confused all the non-Chinese speakers. I'll copy-paste my reply to one of the earlier threads:
They used a term in Chinese that has no direct English translation. I personally think "soulmate" is probably a better translation in context. The actual term is more directly worded like "someone who knows me better than I know myself."
Also, this concept in Chinese culture, and wuxia in particular, probably carries the same weight as compared to a romantic soulmate. So they can be both each other's romantic one-and-only and the person who knows and understands each other the best at the same time.

Bossom friend... like really? Did the writer screw up a little or there's definitely something wrong with subbers.

Inner force/Mana/Power/Innate Power/(sometimes)Magic/ Core. Something similar to um HP? like in games?
lol, just want to say that HP is health/hit points in games, your MP are the mana/magic points. But anyways, I think the show conveys the difference pretty well, actually. You can see from the past fight scenes that HFX almost always uses something that looks more like Jedi Force powers than martial arts, but in the most recent fight, he's only able to do hand-to-hand combat (which is still top-notch), but takes a lot out of him.
