Right? I get that she's lived a sheltered/rural/traditional life and a lot of the modern things are unknown to her, but the depiction of her intelligence seems to be all over the place so far.

No, I don't blame her for getting drugged. The brainless part I'm talking about is believing that the slimeball was going to give her the oracle bone and getting into his car to begin with.
And plenty of smart FLs wouldn't fall for that, (e.g. Who Rules the World, The Autumn Ballad, My Sassy Princess, etc.). And yes, I know this is the script. I just wish they wrote a better script.

What a mishmash of old classic wuxia. WXS and Guan Qi in the well is like Linghu Chong and Ren Woxing from XAJH all over again, lol. Too bad WXS didn't get any kickass martial arts skills while he was down there. And surprisingly, Lei Mei is my favorite of the female characters so far. I really hope she doesn't have a tragic end. ☹️

Me neither. I usually have no problem with these roles, but instead of being seductive and elegant, she just came off feeling...slimy. That entire "arc" just pissed me off. WXS was dumb as a pile of rocks and WR's tantrum was stupid. Girl, get some class and grace.

That's a pretty broad generalization, why do you say that? As a character whose background is a spoiled rich girl, she at least has shown some depth beneath the ditzy exterior. And YCY isn't awful as far as idol-singer-turned-actresses go, at least compared to ones like Cheng Xiao or Ju Jingyi.
