Worth it for Ding Yuxi's extremely strong acting job for sure. Xiu Ming's creepy stalker ass can diaf tho. Disliked how they tried to redeem him at the end . Unpopular opinion maybe but I liked Yang Chaoyue quite a lot too.

for every other actor, sure, but that guy is simply bad at acting. he has two expressions: stupid awkward smile, blank face to show he's "upset" lmao. a mannequin could do better.

bc they're highkey smoking crack lol. the "bromance" is totally contrived in the first handful of episodes, maybe to suck ppl in who knows. SML is the fiancee of the FL and spends half the show sucking up to her, then he finds out that ML is in love with her, and imprisons him and forces FL to marry him. the actor is awful and wooden so you really have no clue what his real motivations are. and don't get me started on the last 3 eps lmao.

it starts getting nonsensical at ep.21. like, after trying to kill ML and forcing the girl to marry him, suddenly the SML is back on their side for no reason and with no explanation lmao it's terrible.

2nd ML is prolly the worst actor I've seen in awhile in anything. lit rally in pain every scene I have to see him.

Do you mean all Cdramas or just modern romance types? Bc there are plenty of non modern romances where the FL is smart and capable, but when it comes to the modern romances, i have to agree. Most of the time they're portrayed in a way where they need the ML

So this was like the reincarnation arc lol. Other than Yu Du searching for reincarnated Ke'er, this was totally pointless and unnecessary. I was fully satisfied with the original ending.

the subs on iQIYI are so bad lol but the show is fun

it takes until about ep.6 to get interesting. i also felt like there was a whole lotta nothing happening in the first few eps.
