Not sure why ppl keep spreading this death penalty thing...there are thousands of underage of consent rape cases…
none of that is confirmed or proven at this point though. don't buy all the melons. let me give you an example of a minor rape resulting in death penalty: four-year old girl who suffered severe injuries. do a deep dive into rape cases in china. it's not pretty.
Not sure why ppl keep spreading this death penalty thing...there are thousands of underage of consent rape cases…
ofc that's what the drugs were used for but drug trafficking and use is a HUGE deal in china and they come down hard on it no matter what the drugs are used for. netizens are saying there was a major drug operation he was involved in, which (like it or not) would create much swifter backlash from the govt.
Here’s what I’ve heard from people on Chinese social media:Most of them were 17,18-19. But there was one girl…
Not sure why ppl keep spreading this death penalty thing...there are thousands of underage of consent rape cases in China every year and only a few of the most heinous ones are punished with death. Otherwise, rape is very hard to prove and not a lot of rapists are punished at ALL. 3-10 years is the averaged sentence. The fact that drugs are involved actually makes it more likely for him to get punished vs. the rape.
Funouhan the manga is one of my favorites, so I was wondering how they would get it right in a movie and tbh how they did it really worked. They changed Tada's character to a girl, which didn't bother me bc Sawajiri was great. They kept the darkness and shocking scenes as well. Really good.
Good job on writing an article, but I hate dubbing and I disagree with all of your points. Different dialects…
Ah found it XD but yes, lazy production is the only reason and it's a bad one. But the censorship of diverse culture is also a good point and more nefarious. They need to normalize NOT dubbing like everyone else.
So this movie is aight but i wouldn't recommend it if you haven't read the manga. Most of what happens will have no frame of reference without it. I think the three mains played their parts (per the manga) quite well but you just can't squish a 62 chapter manga into a 2 hour movie without losing a LOT. Also, they made the ML's age 26 vs. her 16 in the movie for some reason and in the manga he's 23 and she's 16 when they meet. A little more reasonable I think.
this is such a weird take lmao. like first, sakon wasn't even strongly explored enough to come up with that many…
the problem with that is the assumption that it was a bad movie and it wasn't lol. he took a role in a well-made movie based on a cult manga directed by a prominent director. i can 100% see why he took it.
am I the only one who genuinely hated Takeru's character, Gondon Sakon? He was a piece of garbage, he treated…
this is such a weird take lmao. like first, sakon wasn't even strongly explored enough to come up with that many words on his worldview. second, tbh he really wasn't a jerk at all. he came back with the money AND he told ukon the truth about that woman he was sleeping with, which ukon found to be true in the final scene with her where she didn't care when ukon was sad about his brother dying (which is what he thought). as for sato takeru, he's an actor, and a very good one. this role was interesting and different. why wouldn't he want it? and that manga is kinda legendary so maybe you need to understand Japanese to get it.
Hilarious lol. I love weird-ass slice of life stuff like this. Acting was great all the way around too. Satoh Takeru is never disappointing. Not in the slightest bit boring either.
Well, the screenwriter and original creator are women... so sure.
"80% of BL movies and shows ARE bad since they're made by women for women" ← this tbh. and for the same reason i wouldn't trust a lesbian show made by men. it ALWAYS ends up being heteronormative.
