So now I'm seeing conflicting reports. I read online that SBS has this for 12 episodes, and 1 epilogue episode. Ugh, not a good sign when the station can't land on something.

Yeah, more competition and they had a rough 2020-21 save for a few hit shows. Even Hometown moved to tvN. A lot of OTT platforms have opened up in Korea, so I foresee OCN dwindling even further :(. Sad ikr?!

OCN has slowly merged w/ tvN as they're a slowly dying channel :/. There's a lot of factors tbh, agency/power/age/connections. Plus, she is the SHK, so the ML would most likely benefit from having her as the FL, than the other way around. Hmm, we would be pleasantly shocked if they chose an older veteran. We shall see, when rumors come out for ML soon...

Will someone pls give him a good guy or really non-villain role?! As he gets much older, it would be a shame to waste his appeals on those type of roles/genres.

Kim Nam Gil is very busy after his new drama, he'll do Island. I vote for Uhm Ki Joon!! That would be inspired casting!!

Same here! I'm glad you and me both want better for him!! If you see his rl personality, he's actually quite funny and warm. It's such a shame that he accepts/his old agency/his offers were villains in mostly subpar minus a few dramas. Whereas his musicals, he usually plays heroes lol. But seriously, can he please be given a drama like My Mister?! I want to see him pull off an ordinary character, stop giving him villains, jebal!!

Ooh not bad. Thing is, would Uhm Ki Joon even accept that role. Lol, dunno b/c his drama picks mostly have been villains...Hopefully he's a free agent, he'll get better offers although he prob. might take a break after S3 ends. I really hope he gets a better drama/nicer role like PLS!! SHK prob. won't do such a role lol. I actually think UKJ could've done the drama that Lee Sang Yoon is doing with Lee Honey rn, and been the ML there tbh.

This show lol. On a superficial note, UKJ looked really good in the last scenes of Ep 7. He looks younger w/o glasses. I was like "Oh Hello!" (just looks folks lol not the role!!).

OTT might choose off beat choices than public channels do. That being said, he has done some romance in the past a long time ago. I know he doesn't want to do Melos (This was said in 2015), but hopefully now due to Penthouse's success, he can get a good project soon!! He would suit World of the Married/Misty type of ML's lol. Don't waste him PDs!!

Hope that b/c of Penthouse's success, and renewed attention on him again. That I hope he gets a solid leading role in a critically acclaimed project after S3 ends!!! Have noticed he used to do more funny/nice guys before foraying into villain fare later on.

That would be neat! If only casting directors cast outside the box, but if there was a mature/adult drama, they would be a good husband/wife duo!!
