I hope it reaches 6-7% again soon! Speaking of, KBS has lost its Midas touch. Only Law Cafe for weekday dramas…
Ah ok! I just don’t think the daily audience would overlap with Law Cafe’s audience. Maybe a bit but generally not enough to take away LC’s ratings either.

I love ratings talks!
Ah I forgot about daily’s which do well. That said, don’t think much clash is here with this show lol. Perhaps a variety that’s airing similar time? Law Cafe is the only Mon/Tues show that is no match to the other shows. I guess, romcoms tend to do better OTT later than live.
An article said this shows online clips got 3.5 million views total. Also, a review video of LC got 2 million views. Its popular, and getting good reviews in Korea.

True. I was surprised they promoted their shows lol, let alone an Instagram page in April for this. I think because it reached 7.1% Ep 1, it’ll reach 8% in Ep 16. I notice the last episode always jumps up by 1-3%. Sometimes more if word of mouth spreads, and the lastweek prior to finale stays strong.
After, it’s Curtain Call/Bad Prosecutor, so Law Cafe might be a soft success for KBS if those dramas perform lower or similar. I just hope the actors can get awarded, but KBS likes to award two people for Best Actor/Actress lol so I can see it. Esp.Couple Award since KBS gives 4-5 couples this award.
Edit: Ott, IA. But this is on Wavve which has more than 10 million subscribers which is equal to Netflix Korea’s subscribers. So, the show is widely seen in Korea as it’s doing well on Wavve. Perhaps, those things also get counted due to changing times.

That’s true. I remember KBS or MBC took off that slot. It’s been up and down in the last few years. Ratings have been all over the place. But looking at LSG’s dramas, ratings tended to be quite high.
For Law Cafe, they’ve no competition until their show completes so they have that as a plus. I do feel for here due to the stars, and other aspects other than romance. That this could’ve been 8-10% in a Fri/Sat slot for SBS. But then again, who thought Business Proposal would do so well?
I see a lot of comments about PMY's face, I think when somebody starts with the surgeries, filler, botox etc,…
I think GKP is a mix of buff/tall lol. I know he works out more judging by his pics. But he's also doesn't feel the need to be skinny either. Also, he typically has a bigger build which could translate to that.
I am brimming in dramas right now but need to start this one ASAP for Go Kyung Pyo
I'm glad to see love for him here :)!! He has a less trendy look, but he has a warm and handsome demeanor to him. Timeless lol, which is why he looked great in Chicago Typewriter.

In a survey they did, tvN/SBS were the channels that came out as the ones that the 25-49 target mark that buyers want. But that was a year ago, and things may have changed, esp. with OTT dominating. KBS lacks that factor, SBS has the movie stars/draw, and their Fri/Sat strategy proved correct. If only SBS took this instead of Woori the Virgin?
Even though it's on VIU, it's on their Red Label, which means only paid subscribers can watch. Honestly, Netflix's power is unmatchable, and I don't get how they didn't license this show when both stars/genres are the types they get. Fri/Sat slot is the best for shows, and Wed/Thur isn't any better.
Plus, it has LSG, a massive star, and LSG, who has got a lot of love lately. Anyways, it did reach 7.1% for Ep 1, so I hope they can go back to that mark soon. Since Sat/Sun is their Weekenders, Mon/Tue it is...

Argh, KBS and their promos/lack of BTS are alarming at promoting. Interesting that VIU produced this show, and not Netflix.
Really strong introduction, middle parts are hit or miss, shit last episode. So you telling me that after 16 episode…
I also wonder if Covid-19 also affected the production? I know some scenes got changed due to the impending nature of Covid-19. They wrapped this up right before things turned out worse.
This drama is one where the FL is the *main* main character. It's not as FL-centric as Attorney Woo, but it was…
Much credit is due to LSG for allowing LSY to shine here!! It's great to see a female character given much screen time and importance that would typically go to the ML. I think he wanted to do this show because it was a different role/job he usually gets in dramas. I also think he perhaps wanted to take a backseat for once after doing a heavy show like Mouse before this.
Due to their strong partnership and respect, we can feel emotions for the characters. He's more of the anchor to her sailboat; he's just as crucial to Yu-ri as she is to him. The show mainly revolves around their interactions and relationship, and in that regard, I think it's well done thus far, and both had moments to shine together and individually.
Reminds me of Kim Hye Soo and Ju Ji Hoon in Hyena. I don't think anyone would dare say that she overshadowed him. We see a similar dynamic here: the guy is not as loud as FL, but both held their own.
Given the shows maturity when it comes to their relationship. Does this mean we will be getting that steamy night? Usually when a character keeps mentioning one, it happens in the end lol. The webtoon had a lot of kiss scenes and steamy scenes. I hope KBS throws us a bone or two, because I know they can give us it given their scenes in other dramas in the past!!
I think LSG is going back to how his characters were in the past.
Your last comment is also how I feel about his career going forward. I think this might be one of his last rom-com dramas too.
He’s done a lot of romcoms for around two decades. He also might be settling down, which changes an actor's projects. It’ll be bittersweet, but he’s had a good run with the genre.
Probably because it has charm, is easygoing, heartfelt, and it's a comfort watch, perhaps? Having good characters…
I think a lot of people said the same thing lol. But the few scenes these two had, they had great chemistry and banter together. But here, LSY is way more confident and comfortable in herself, and it shows as she’s descended into leading role territory.
Badass, flirty, funny, kind, stylish, sexy, and conscientious! She reminds me of Summer Roberts from The O.C,…
Yeah, it’s definitely refreshing. I love that she can be sassy, fashionable, daring, and sexy. One doesn’t become undermined because she’s gorgeous, it helps but she has more substance.
No there isn’t, but if you’re registered on Naver, you can read it using the auto translate feature on Chromehttps://m.novel.naver.com/webnovel/list?novelId=252934
Same here. It seems certain scenes like the pairs romance and intimate scenes are textbook from the webtoon. Of course this being a shorter length than the webtoon, certain creative liberties were either changed or expanded. Like her Miss. Korea moniker is not here, and her friends don’t play as prominent of a role compared to webtoon.
