The writer can write all this things for HJP, but its Kim Seon-ho that is breathing life into this drama, and his role. He makes the role iconic, and is giving his character so many shades and layers to him.

He is the true break out star in this show! I can see how like Jung Hae In in this writer's previous work, will benefit with this in a huge way!!

I would also suggest Moon Chae Won (she's worked with tvN in her last 2 dramas) or Shin Min-ah to the mix! Or add the chemistry queen Park Min-young to the mix. Either a big name talent or established Hallyu star as the female lead. The FL is what's going to make or break the drama alongside the ML!

Thanks! It's not just about an actor's talent unfortunately, but the power of their agency and striking when the iron's hot while the public still has interest! The drama's description has him as a "sexy and personable Michelin Chef" a.k.a Oh My Ghost?? Sounds like the writer had him in mind lol.

He debuted in dramas in 2017, and 2 yrs later got his 1st Main Lead. He looks 28, it's a shame we couldn't see his acting way earlier since he's in that age where in the next few yrs, he could get sidelined to a 2nd ML.

At the same time, popularity/public's adoration can only last so long before they move on. I hope he chooses his next drama and there's no schedule conflict. It seems a role tailor made for him, here's hoping we see him paired with a big name as that'll help usher in more popularity/attention going forward!

Np, glad you found out about Hallyu! It's a rite of passage when an actor blows up, and they get paired with a big name female lead in a rom-com/romance drama. It's how you cement your position as an actor and name, so they can continue to coast on that popularity for a while.

I notice that in order for an actor to pop out in a big way, they need to be anchored by a stronger/bigger name co-star. I'm thinking along the same Iines of his next female co-star being a Hallyu star. If his next drama is a hit and with a big name Hallyu female lead, he will become a household name next year.

For sure, I think its a cultural thing? Although more and more young Korean couples are branching out, and aren't that clueless as they're presented in K-dramas. I'm meh on a time skip but this is 1 season, so it'll be nice to see our characters when they hit that success point.

If anything, with the huge reveal, anything's possible. Basically, I'm glad it began in Ep 8, and not Ep 10 or 12. Which by that point, (NDS+SDM) relationship would've progressed too far, for HJP to even have a slim chance to build a romantic relationship with her.

I haven't checked yet if the writer's have, but its been heavily implied by people online.

A) The emails in this show are dated from 2016.

B) SDM tells her sis to see her become more successful than she is, in three years time. (At the networking party)

C) The Image Detecting technology was hugely popular and relevant in 2016.

D) People who saw the actors live-shooting the drama said they saw changes in their appearances (hair and style)

E) Mini Teaser of the show with all 4 main characters coming out together, looking like they all succeeded (Esp. SDM looking more put together/more chic with her perfectly coiffed hairdo and bangs) with matching red lip.

F) Some issues like a company's success to its workers and CEO, and how it affects the people around them, will have the most impact on how it actually changed things with a time jump since this is a one season show. So it's about fitting in as much as they, so they don't leave everything till Ep 16 for us the audience to catch up on the future.

That's a good point as well. I think that both guys have both their good/bad qualities that they bring out in one another and to SDM too. What's good is that many people have different interpretations of who should end up who. I definitely think that the 2nd half of this show will change a lot of things/relationships (romantic and platonic ones). Eagerly awaiting this wk's episodes!
