Oh no :( Is it due to the actor or the role?
He's better in supporting roles lol. Like Heartless City or paired up with Jung Kyung Po lol.

Lol I see. I remember reading netizen comments about his acting in Mama Fairy, and they said it was trying to hard to be funny. I feel like the actor Yoon Hyun Min has kinda been pushed over the last few yrs as the next leading man, but it seems nothing has been sticking? Could also be the dry and bland character he's given too.

Why forgetting?
She is so fantastic in this show. Song Ji Hyo on the other hand, a more seasoned actress I heard can't do the zany over the top comedy. But Nana is surprising me how much she's acing the comedy here. Used Song b/c Was it Love and this show is airing same time, nothing against her just from he comments I read here/online. I would say Seo Hyun Jin is another idol turned actress that has turned out to be a distinct and talented actress. If Nana was in an acting agency, she would be so much more popular than she already was.

am i blind or was there a swastika in that scene outside the pre-school?
Someone said it was a Buddhist symbol given the Buddhist ties in S.K, but still you would think they would remove it post-production wise b/c it could be taken the wrong way?! I cringed throughout that scene b/c whenever they would talk, it showed a bit in the background. Messy choice KBS!!

Oh wow really? In what way, in terms of how he looks? That's a huge compliment lol. He started to pop out more last year, I hope we see him flex his acting chops because dude is really talented. I love his character here, and I think part of it is because he is making his character endearing. Let's hope there's more to store because the 2 leads here are great, but it would be even better if GM was given a compelling journey alongside SR.

Thank you for saying what I was thinking but in a better way lol. IA that there are some missing puzzle pieces in regards to him. What made him and Se-ra separate? When did they separate? How did he end up working at the call center? What are his aspirations in the end? What intrigues me is the PD has said that the story is on the 2 leads which represent today's youth, so I assume his arc will be more shown as the show goes on? The character of GM is so intriguing and yet I find myself enamored with him. PSH is a good actor, and I want to see him work his acting here in a bigger way. "I also love their relationship so far but I would be disappointed if he only stays her support." YES!! IA 100%. While I love that he's a supportive friend/incoming bf to her, for the setup on his character, that it would be a huge waste not to add more to that by making him just a bystander to Se-ra's shenanigans.

Oh I meant more in terms of his arc, as in they give his character some depth and good characterizations that are more than your typical loner male lead type. I do agree that it is centered on Se-ra, but typically aren't most rom-coms female focused? Supportive bfs are always welcome so I don't mind it, only that PSH is a talented actor so it would be a waste. Hopefully if they get together, she pushes him to be more commanding and he can return or do the work that he believes has impact like finance. I think that in the next week or so, he might get more to do. Just wondering, but do you think its a disservice to the show that the ML's screen time is less here or it doesn't matter?

I disagree. While the show is built on her journey, I think that the show has been doing a good job setting the ML's story. They given his character good characterizations with his backstory regarding his father. As she grows more into her career, he will grow more into becoming a brighter and forthcoming person. The show is really anchored on these two leads/actors, they are the ones who make the show.

Usually it doesn't bother me in the show, but I've to admit Ep 5 was a bit much with it. I remember in Reply 1988, it kind of bothered me there so I hope that she becomes softer to him as her feelings turn to love lol.
On a lighter note, its probably karma for PSH's character who in their previous drama did so much awful stuff to her.

The Korean entertainment industry can be so fickle. One day you're hot, and the next day your old news. Yeah it's strange when you think about it. Considering his previous successes that there's barely much appreciation I feel online for his comeback?

Yeah that's what I took it as well, I do think that for now, these two have just started to get a feel for each other. She was submissive to her ex compared to how she is with GM. I mean the scene where they argue, and it's in front of kids riding play cars who are un-amused. They haven't met in a long time too. I also understand the other side as well, out of context, the scenes might be presented in a negative light. While those scenes have a funny context to them, I don't ever watch it and condone violence, and I don't think that's what the writer/director's intentions are too. Next week's episodes and so forth will provide us with more clues upon their relationship. Other than on here, I haven't seen any complaints so I guess different strokes for everyone, and maybe this show or couple doesn't jive with you, and that's fine too. For now, its too early to tell but once GM and Se-ra get closer together again, things might change.

I hate it when Se Ra hits or threats Gong Myung and others. And they even portray it as something funny... Imagine…
IA that if this was the other way around, it would garner a lot more attention. I was unsure about it at first, but I saw it as Se-ra treating Gong-myung like a younger brother. They playfully jive back at one another with their wits. Back in their childhood days, it seems that she and him had a sibling like relationship in her view. I haven't seen her slap him or done anything too extreme yet to him imo. I think that rn her character is learning along the way, with her career and also her feelings about Gong-myung as well. When she noticed him as a man other than a childhood friend, she was gentle and taken a back. If these two weren't close childhood friends, this behavior shouldn't be justified but b/c it's in the context of the show judging by their banter and interactions, that I'm cool with it.

Obviously not all friends are like this, but I chalk it up more to her acting the same way she did when they were young back in the day. I also think that b/c this is a black comedy, that some things are a bit exaggerated for 'comical' effect. Clearly she is the 'Alpha' in this relationship for now, I do wonder when they do date if she'll soften up on her approach? I remember the movie My Sassy Girl also had similar issues with this too, and the reaction to it has been split so I understand where your coming from too. I am very curious to see what others here on this site have to say on this matter as well.

Interesting, I think that the show has been planting seeds already of their burgeoning relationship. I think there's been a good amount of screen time between the two leads thus far. I am curious though after Ep 4/16 (Or 8/32) where the show will go. The Producer of the show said that the Romantic Comedy will take the limelight and the Politics will merely assist it. Hmm, either way the story goes, that whenever the two leads are together, the screen becomes more alive.

I thought it seemed unnecessary that they knew each other when they were young since that’s kind of a cliche…
The more that I think about it, it is used very well here. Sometimes they introduce it midway or halfway through, and it's a throwaway moment. Here, it shows how Se-ra and Gong-myung care about each other despite them butting heads at times. I love that it was introduced in the first and second episode, because it makes their interactions before they get romantically involved that much richer imo.

Ex. When she tousled his hair, she said something like "What happened to this young and jokester kid I grew up with? When did he grow up to be a decent and romantic guy?" Lol. To me is shows me how Se-ra sees Gong-myung as a man now, instead of as a little kid and she is shook by that.

Great third episode, but I don’t like this love triangle they’re hinting at one bit. I hope that’s not what…
The third episode was great, very heartfelt and heartwarming. Oh the lady that Gong-myung briefly met with right? For a guy whose introverted, he sure has it with the ladies lol ;) Seriously thought, I too am nervous. In the poster for the show, the relationship chart showed arrows with her going to Gong-myung, and Se-ra with her ex. I hope that its nothing more than just that these 4 people are going to be crossing paths a lot often. Ms. Yoon's love interest (Soompi when they announced the other cast) had Oh Dong Min as Go Dong Chan as her potential love interest.

https://www.soompi.com/article/1401890wpp/yoo-da-in-oh-dong-min-bae-hae-sun-and-kim-hyun-mok-confirmed-to-join-nana-and-park-sung-hoons-office-romantic-comedy

"Oh Dong Min appears as Go Dong Chan, a privileged councilman who has succeeded his father’s position. He’s someone who follows trends and practical interests and has a crush on Yoon Hee Soo."

"According to agency Prain TPC, Yoo Da In has been cast as Yoon Hee Soo, a beautiful lawyer who graduated from an elite university and law school. She’s an ambitious perfectionist who has achieved success through hard work, and she aims for a seat in the National Assembly through her network of connections."

I too like you hope that it's nothing more than a probable power display from a politician.

"Hwang added, “The romantic-comedy will the take the limelight, with the politics merely assisting.”

Yes her bf works for his dad, but the male lead is estranged from his dad. So drama indeed :O Judging by the end of the 2nd episode, the two love-lines are starting to begin. I think having both of them work together for the common good will mean more interactions between the couple which is what I'm excited about. I loved seeing the behind the scene interactions with PSH and Nana, b/c they showed a lot of chemistry together so I hope that the teasers I seen show through b/c they gave me a lot of promise on their love line lol.
