Ding Dong! Because Dokko Jin is the perfect man ;D
"The Greatest Love" is a drama about Ae Jung, a former famous idol who became an outcast in the public image because of a lie, but even now she tries her best, doing whatever job she can find. In a twist of fate, she meets Dokko Jin, the most loved and famous actor of the moment and the two get involved.
Dokko Jin becomes a little obsessed with Ae Jung, because his heart starts acting strangely around her, but he later finds out that this is because of her song "Thump Thump" that was playing when he had his heart surgery. For me, this is the best scene in the drama, when Dokko Jin tries to confirm his feelings for Ae Jung, but when he kisses her nothing happens, this is because his watch is broken. So, seeing her with Pil Joo, broke his heart and showed him his true feelings for her.
I also loved the funny moments with Dokko Jin's jealousy, just seeing her with Pil Joo would make him go completely crazy! HAHAHAHA'
The drama is light and easy to watch, but at the same time it has a lot of tense moments, especially because Dokko Jin has a heart condition, which could easily kill him and also the whole thing about the public hating Ae Jung. I think it's a good example of how idols, actors and actresses suffer in South Korea, because they really have no privacy, fans will find out everything and the weirdest thing is that they don't like it when there are women involved. To me this is ridiculous, shouldn't you be happy that an actor you love and admire is in love and happy?
There is a scene in the drama that is a beautiful response to this: Dokko Jin's video. With the possibility of dying during surgery, Dokko Jin recorded a video that showed the world how much he loved Ae Jung and wanted people to love her too. This is a real man.
It's one my favorite dramas of all time, it's amazing in every way. The story, the characters, the romance, the humor, the soundtrack... it's hard to find a better example of a romantic comedy.
