I'm also sorry if you think I'm harsh with my words.

But don't ever do this again if you don't want to be attacked. There are other people who would be harsher than me. And they would roast you to no end.

And no, I usually don't reply a lot in forum discussion, unless there's something that triggers me. So don't worry ever crossing path with me again.

You should read what this OP replied to me above. I was being civil, giving them the comparison that they wanted, and said I'm not being nice. I don't even use too many emoticons or expressions like "!!" or "??"

The op abandon this by episode 2, said they didn't care to go back to watch it, and then to compare it with other drama. If they didn't want to get dragged down in comments, then they shouldn't have commented in the first place.

Where in my reply I use excessive words, swearing, or to make it look like I'm hating the other drama? I was mentioning the comparison because you are the first one who started it. And what I stated is the fact from Cutie Pie.

This one is your own word:
"How does this series have so many positive comments and 'Cutiepie' doesn't??"
If I mistake your wording, because you sound so condescending over here to compare this drama to Cutie Pie, then it's my mistake.

Despite that, my reply to you is much more civil. I started the comparison because I feel like you're asking about it.
If you see my comments in Cutie Pie section, I didn't even mention anything negative or comparing it to other drama.

And I've watched your reply to others. So you abandon this drama in episode 1, then go here after seeing so many negative comments on Cutie Pie, then leaving a comment where so many people also disagree with you.

Oh by the way, if you have the rights to post your opinion comparing other drama with this one, or other dramas in the future, then I also have the rights to contradict you. I simply make my points, giving you my opinion on what makes this drama miles better than Cutie Pie. You're the one who go hysterical about it in your reply.

I don't know why they feel the need of dragging other drama to make a point. No drama is ever perfect. Even Bad Buddy which makes me frustrated with the silly parents fights and also the toxic friends, and KinnPorsche which I think is the embodiment of toxic relationship (they do get better, but I still think it's not a healthy relationship when it's started due to sex). Even Secret Crush On You I think is not perfect, there are flaws, so I don't praise it to heavens. And I also never use this drama to make comparison with others, because I think that's silly. Each drama has its own charm, so it shouldn't be compared to others.

THiS. Like I don't care if you like other drama more. Comment in there, not in here and drag this drama down because you think the other side is full of toxicity (which I don't recommend). The poster didn't even realize that the rating of this drama is way far down than the series they like, because so many people leave low rating.

Do not bring other drama in this forum. You can go back to Cutie Pie if you like that one more. It feels like a waste of time being civil there when a fan of that drama comes here to make fun of this drama, which is miles better than the other one.

But if you want reason, I'll give it to you.
1. There's no stupid miscommunication and misunderstanding in this drama. They communicate. They didn't make us frustrated because they play mute all the time. They actually talk and resolve the problem.
2. Respecting boundaries. Nuea asked Toh, asking for his consent, to move in with him. And that's after their relationship is secure and they know they love each other very much. Do you see Nuea dragging Toh to live with him without asking for his consent first? Even during the kiss, Nuea ALWAYS respect Toh and always ask. He never assume his partner wanted something, even though we clearly can feel the sexual charge.
3. Creepy behavious is addressed. Toh's friends ALWAYS calling him out on this behaviour, and he even try to get better later on. One stuff one date. Slowly he change. Did the lying behaviour of all the characters in that other drama ever being addressed? And I mean not just for the whole 3 minutes of last episode? And the reason for the constant lies in that drama is also very annoying, it's all because of love. So if you love someone, you have the rights to lie to them instead of being honest?
4. Good dynamic relationship. Even though you see Toh as creepy (which I'm sure only based on the first episode), Nuea ALWAYS try to make Toh see that he loves him, in many ways possible. Being straightforward, being honest, and always willing to meet Toh's eye level, as a symbol that they're equal in their relationship. Toh also change slowly, being more confident and hoarding less. I don't see this in that other drama you mention, because all of the tops are so overbearing and ALWAYS make the decision for their bottoms.
"You can't go out without my permission."
"You have curfew."
If I have to say one word to those tops, it will be "JERK"
5. Positive message. This show give you a message about being loved for who you are. The trandsgender, the creepy (your word), and the one with body problems, have a chance to be loved by everyone. Even the nerdy kids have the right to feel love, which is the major message of the show. Nuea's parents and Toh's parents speech showed the positive message of acceptance of any kind of love, which is a good message to have.

Lastly, do you know the reason why this show is loved by many? Because no one expect that this drama will bring so much joy as they thought it will be a cringe drama (including me). They didn't try to be what they don't, and yet they're more succesful in giving life lessons than the other drama who preached about same sex marriage. The discussion in last episode is so bizarre because it was never a problem in the last 11 episodes (in which it's full with lies all over the place). Suddenly it matters now? When your show is almost ending?

I still tried to be as polite to you as I can, despite you commenting harshly and try to bring down this drama to make the other drama look better.

I listened to a lot of BLCDs too mostly, because I no longer have a lot of time to read manga. Only when I have long break on December, or when I do take annual leave (even then, I always got called for work, so annual leave feels like nothing lol). BLCDs definitely easier, because I can listen to the voices I love.

Nah, I'm too lazy to advocate for them. But whenever I watch the news with my dad, there's always this crazy stupid story about teenagers doing questionable thing to their friends because they're influenced by the shitty Indonesian drama that the people in my country is making, and I always think that it's so crazy to be so easily influenced by a drama. But apparently, you can. So yeah

To be honest, many people read BLs even back then and that's why we have so many translation team for BLs alone. But I agree that the forum was very limited back then. For me who read in its original language (I only read the Japanese ones), I met a lot of BL fans, both male and female, throughout the 15 years I've been in the BL community.

Like I've also mentioned, toxic rape and misunderstanding manga still being published, but it becomes less and less. Do you mean Caste Heaven? I think that it was released around 2014-2015, which is the era where I said that this type of trope is still common.

I'm not judging others on what they like or don't like. I've said it that I'm one of those shallow people who are satisfied with just seeing pretty faces on my screen, so I don't really care much whether there's plot or not.

I'm not sure where you come from, but from what I know in my country (Indonesia), the teenagers easily believe what the television said to them. For example, someone watched a wrestling competition, and he actually tried the move to his friend out of joke, and his friend ended up dead. There are many other examples of bad decision-making from the teenagers, and that's why I said while they're not naive, they do understand what they're watching, but there are people who would take what the drama told them at face value and ended up not having enough capability to think properly and ended up making the mistake.

Don't worry, I think that we both discuss the problem just fine. What's the world without good argument? It would be a boring place if everyone feels the same way.

I've past the age of being irrational. I'm at the age where I enjoy everything I can get.

What I mean is stand against the other dramas that have better plot. I've mentioned it, but I think that the quality of this drama is very good. The production value is definitely high, looking at the camera they're using, the money they're pouring into the drama, and so on. It's a pretty drama to look at, that's for sure. It's also a commercial success, and therefore very popular. But if we have to compare the plot of the drama against those that are more plot-heavy ones, this one fell short.

I say this with confidence because when my friend asked me about this drama, all I can say: "There are pretty faces, hot soft porn scene, an arranged marriage, and a whole bunch of misunderstanding for 11 eps ." Other than that, I can't say anything else because this drama has no substance that I can even tell people about.

There are always aggressive teenagers, and I agree we can't blame the shows for it, but we also can't deny that there might be connection to it somehow. Parents can't always be with their child, especially during tough times like this, when parents most likely go out to look for money and have no time to look at their child. Not that I blame the drama though.

I am okay with the drama. Not bad, but also not good either. I do enjoy it when I was watching them live, though I mostly forgot that it was there until Mandee channel told me that Cutie Pie is coming. But yeah, in overall I do enjoy it a lot.

I'm also against people criticising to the point of making it feel like the drama has nothing to offer. In terms of plot might be none, but in other aspects, especially the aesthetic, it's a good one.

I don't think everyone also wanted to watch a perfect show. There will always be flaws, but it should be covered with a good substance. This is what's lacking from many similar dramas that only use the outer appearance to sell their product. It's pretty to look at but nothing inside.

Attacking people who express their opinion is also not good. I'm also not happy with the way people keep bringing other dramas into this discussion, because it was not supposed to be like that. Dragging one drama to make the other better is not the way to say that this drama is good or not. I did say that this drama might not stand against the comparison of other dramas, but it should be done in an open forum, where more people could see and react to the opinion.

I'm sure there will be people in their home country who pointed on the flaws. The other countries have this with more and more companies use social media to gain opinion from their audience. Social media is a strange place. You could be braver and say what you might not able to say face-to-face, so the director and creator will be able to get a more honest opinion about what they make.

That's exactly the problem. Because people think that it's the normal and standard behaviour of BL couples (which is not), and the way they see the BL tropes being rehashed again and again in the same manner. Create a couple that's so exhausting to watch and then put them in a romantic situation with a soft porn that pleases the eyes. It brings the ratings, sure, but will it be long-lasting? Will it be talked in like, 2 years from now? Will it become the standard comparison when talking about other dramas in the future?

Even though the filmmaker and creators might not read discussions in here, but they will read the reactions from the people in their own country. The people will comment about the visuals, the directing, the setting, but never the plot. Even though it's a commercial success, but it will become the piece that will be forgotten when another hot face comes across the screen.

Like I've said in my comment, I come from the BL community around 1999 to the early 2000s, where rape is common. Up to 2006, rape is still one of the most used theme in BLs. But starting in 2010 this had changed. Many authors changed this concept. While this was not an immediate success compared to the easy rape and miscommunication drama, but this genre started to pick up the steam in around 2014, and nowadays it will be hard for you to find manga or story that's based on rape. For cheap stories, sure, they still have them. But even the alpha-omega dynamics are also different from what they were before.

I'm not saying that this drama is bad, but this is already an old trope in like 2016. If this was created in that era, then sure, this is considered to be the standard entertainment and people will have to swallow it, whether they wanted it or not. But the Thai BLs industry itself had changed, and it could be seen with many dramas with refreshing plot and good story telling become more popular. This will also showed the filmmaker and creator that no, they could no longer create the same shit and expect that it will work.

The reason why Cutie Pie works because the actors themselves are really popular. Then coupled with the pretty aesthetic that they packaged the drama with, it's a commercial success, and I won't deny that. I'm one of those shallow people who don't care what the plot is as long as I can see good looking people on my screen. But do I like it? It's an absolute no.

The Thai BLs industry is still changing, and with more recent drama that's unique become popular as well, people will start to shift their preferences and will no longer watch this type of drama in the future. And that's why it's back to my first question above: will this type of drama stands against the time and will become the standard comparison for other drama in the future? For hot chemistry and hot porn, Yes. For plot and characterisation, Zero.

P.S. About the toxic couple, true I agree that there are many couples who are toxic. And that's why it's important to send a message to the viewers and to the audience that a toxic behaviour should not be allowed. Contrary to your believe, there are many teenagers who are easy to get brainwashed after watching a drama. Teenagers are not naive, but they also have poor decision-making as they're not yet adult and don't really know whether it's right or wrong to do it, until they do it (and know the consequences). Or there won't be so many cases of teenagers raping other teenagers. Just my two-cent. I hope you are not offended.

I initially wanted to watch this because when I watched the trailer, I was intrigued by the dynamics of NuerSyn. That shows just how much I don't care about the two main couples, who are supposed to be the people who carry the show.

I almost never like main couples in all drama I watched (there are exceptions, but only a few of them) as they're very exhausting and full of drama moments. And the main couples of this drama frustrated me to no end. It's not only about the toxic behaviour or the no communication or even the misunderstanding that was dragged for 12 episodes. It's all about how they never put the trust in each other, not even once, and everything was resolved with hot and steamy soft porn scene.

As someone who had indulged myself in BL fandom for a long time, when rape was common in BL stories, I didn't really hate this story to the point that I'll not recommend this. If you want brainless drama to watch and waste your time with, then this drama is perfect for you. Because that's the point of this drama, pure fanservice entertainment and thin paper plot.

I bought the original novel and read it, and even then I thought it's ridiculous. I thought they would change it, or maybe makes it more engaging, but in the end the content of both the drama and the novel are the same. There's nothing but sex and fanservice.

I wanted to be a proper critic and said something clever about this drama, but when I don't even know what to criticise because there's nothing in the plot itself, it's hard to even actually say anything. I always said it to everyone around me who asked advice for their relationship: If your relationship is built based on distrust and poor communication, then you will end up arguing with each other for the rest of your life because that's what you considered as common. And that's how I regard this drama. None of the two main couples even try to be honest to each other, they always try to hide their real intentions behind their partner's back (though it didn't really matter whether their partners know or not since there's no reason for it to even be a secret in the first place), and then whining when said partners didn't try to understand them. Yeah, how about YOU try to also open up and understand them as well.

I would say that the drama is very pretty. It has good OST (Nunew is amazing in singing), good kisses and soft porn scenes (the tongue movement is a little bit eww but everything else is okay), as well as good looking people on my screen. As my favourite drama reviewer always said: if you want to see good looking people making out with each other, then this is the drama for you

You said what I couldn't say! I honestly don't understand why people think Nuea is the victim in the relationship, when he clearly is just as bad as his other parts? Who the hell confess before he got to the plane and then thinking that the person he likes rejecting him? Hello buddy, you didn't give him time to react or to say what's on his mind? From what I know, people who are going away will at least take the chance to confess and be with the person that they like before they have to go away, rather than confess on the last day. Or they would not take that chance at all. But Nuea half-assed it, and then got heartbroken by himself, which is funny to me.

He is supposed to be 18-19 years old? And yet he behaves like an immature kid. He always asked Khluen to say something, and yet he himself never say anything. He said what's on his mind in front of others, not in front of the person he likes.

I lost respect of Nuea when he said he couldn't reject the girl who confess to him because he knew the feeling. If you know the feeling, then reject her properly. Go and learn from the other Nuea how to reject someone properly and set the boundaries, instead of stringing people along in a muddy relationship.

This drama will always be my happy pills. I watched it because I clicked on it by mistake when it shows on my Youtube recommendation. I watched the trailer once, and I guess Youtube read it as I'm interested with the series. But it's the best mistake Youtube ever did for me.

When I watched Toh in episode 1, I feel nostaglic. It reminds me of my university days helping my friend stalking her secret crush, and she behaved almost the same (sometimes even worse) than Toh around her crush. Having secret code name for him so he didn't know we're talking about him (the secret code was "Cloud" and I don't remember how he got this name, it's been too long), my friend collecting little memorabilia about him like the plastic spoon he used, and so on. That's why I decided to stick with this drama even when people gave it low rating. I didn't expect I would love it, I just wanted to watch another drama when I worked. But who knows that I'll be so obsessed by it week after week?

While the first few episodes are really cringey and might even be hard for people to watch it, but for those who powered through the drama ended up loving it and become addicted to it. It was cringe, true, but it was also one of the best drama that addressed many things in our real life situation. From body shaming, addressing the outcast kids, the cyber bullying, even the transgender problem like what we saw in Daisy.

The show also has the best communication driven plot ever, compared to the other dramas airing at the same time. There's no miscommunication issue, everything is resolved at a pace that felt natural and not forced. The plot and the writing is also very good, there's nothing that make me want to scream to my screen because the characters make me frustrated with their actions and poor decision-making capability. This show also has healthy relationships for all the couples, not only the lead but for everyone involved.

The ending might be a little bit rushed because they have to wrap it up in 1 episode (I wish they give us special episode of the beach part, because it's just too short for an ending), but it's still one of the most memorable ending for me. No stupid fake break-up, no parents drama, no misunderstanding drama, no nonsense. It's just a happy ending for everyone.

This show will be one of the most memorable to me. It's been a long time since I squeal, giggling, and go crazy over a drama like this. I hope I can see the casts again somehow, whether in season 2 or in another production that showcased their talent.

To be honest, I don't really put any weight into who write what or who direct what. If it's good, it's good. If it's not it' not.

To me, directing is still secondary compared to the screen writing. No matter how good the directing is, if the script is shitty, it's shitty.

But I do understand your feeling. I have no biases, I never checked who played what, who direct what, and who write what. I always go by synopsis, the plot, the characterisation, the acting, and then the chemistry (among all casts, not just the lead). From that, I will say that this drama has a very weak plot, overused cliche, stiff acting, and also bad directing. So it's all merged into one, not just one problem. That's why seeing comments who only blame one side sometimes get me riled up. Not trying to offend you of course, so I hope you're not offended by it
