I Live in Alberta Canada where he filmed. I follow him on Instagram, and I remember him posting pics and stories…
I also live in AB and read this article AFTER starting ep 1. For some reason, even with all the movies that are filmed in our neck of the woods, I just assumed that, if Canada were picked as a set again, they’d skip Quebec (because of Goblin) and hit Toronto or Vancouver for cities, or the maritimes for the vibe, and skip the interior like most concerts do. The lights are too unpredictable, BC shares the mountains, Stampede is too busy and a k-drama with rodeo/cowboy theme seemed too far fetched. I wonder if they got recognized on the street or if people just assume “nah, can’t be”.

It’s on iQIYI now as “Unrivalled Charm”. This was a fun one. As usual, plot holes and nut bars galore, but sexy, funny, and the FL is a good match for the ML in personality and real part of the story not backdrop and catalyst for everyone else.
I can’t believe I binge watched 32 episodes in such a short time. It was more of an emotional investment than most of the C-dramas I’ve watched, but it was so well executed that it was worth the time spent. This story will linger for quite some time for me and I feel a bit lost now that my attention has been released back into the real world.

There goes every vampire/immortal/ demon paranormal storyline ever. Might as well toss the entire sci-fi/fantasy genre too when you start adding time/space anomalies, the fae-folk, cryogenics, bionics and well preserves magic users.
FL portrayed as smart, capable real part of the story, not just backdrop and catalyst for everyone else… that’s refreshing.
ZJJ somehow pulls off both guys as worthy MLs. The FL and ML are a good match for each other.
