I really liked it. A cute and fun watch that goes by like a breeze, with an interesting theme and charming leads (then again, I do have a soft spot for both Haru and Mamiya Shotaro). This one will cure your blues.
Ni Ni (probably the most beautiful woman in the world imo) and Bai Yu are just so good. Such a cool and charismatic CP, individually and together. It was also nice to see so many familiar faces.
Is there any information about the runtime? I wonder if the episodes are going to be shorter in length compared to the usual K-drama format (at least 1h) because of how long it is.
I can't believe it's over. I will miss this drama so much 😠Ji-an, Hyo-ri, and the entire gang, thanks for making Mondays so much fun. There a lot of high profile K-dramas coming out this September, and I can't help but wonder if they'll manage to make me feel something more than this one did.
Anyone that's looking for a heartfelt watch with beautiful scenery and an all-around great cast, do give Love, Take Two a try.
This show is fantastic in every single aspect. Not a second is wasted. People who don't give J-dramas a fair chance are missing out on some 10/10 productions.
I’d recommend every drama currently airing on Netflix this season. I think there’s something to suit everyone’s taste: Shiawase na Kekkon (this one, it's pretty much perfect), 19-banme no Karte (medical, healing), Chihayafuru -Meguri- (youth and friendship), Cinderella Closet (short and sweet romance), and Ai no, Gakkou (romance, melodrama).
I like this drama so much more than I thought I would. It's just like transitioning springtime with the occasional summer shower. Episode 10 was the best so far.
My xianxia of the year! The ending was quite satisfying. Throughout the story, they repeated that they would always recognize each other's souls, no matter when or where. I choose to believe that would happen once again in the modern world... Another first meeting in this lifetime, for their love is truly boundless.
+ The actors did an excellent job bringing their characters to life and conveying the depth of their love. I'll miss this one.
Episode 5: There is this quiet pressure running through the whole story, like a breath held back or a ripple under still water. Or maybe... almost like a can of soda that's just been shaken? I don't know how to explain it. Nothing erupts, but that’s exactly what makes it so compelling. It's a great melodrama. It also feels like a very good book adaptation, even though it's not.
Since there is a lot of comparison Real opinion- I dont know if people will hate on this but I honestly feel that…
My two cents: While Moonlit Reunion has a visibly better, more expensive production (the sets are all beautiful and grand, CGI is great, and the costumes are gorgeous, as in Tian Xiwei as the Cat Lord might be one of my favorite character stylings in a C-drama ever), WDBTD makes you feel more attached to its characters and their trials. It also does a better job of establishing the leads and developing their attachment to each other. After episode 12, the stakes in the story also got much higher. This is only my personal opinion, but feeling an emotional attachment to a drama's characters trumps all other aspects.
More often than not, a drama you rate as a 10/10 might not be a technically objective 10/10, but just a story you felt more connected to.
Episode 13: It pisses me off how these Gengchen Palace people act so entitled when it comes to Sima Jiao's very own life and blood. Some of the most insufferable cultivators I've ever had the displeasure of watching in xianxia. I hope they all burn.
CGI is a bit whack, but as long as a show has enough charm I'm not bothered, and this drama has loads of it.
"I have nothing left in this world worth clinging to. But she... still wants to live." 😠He was about to end it all but backed down because of her desire to keep living.
Not the door to his Soul Manor opening after Tingyan called him "Jiao Jiao"! Such a beautiful and intimate scene. You can really feel the affection. CFY and WYL have great chemistry. It's so funny how Tingyan keeps thinking that there's just no way Sima Jiao would be in love with her. Girl...
My least favorite part of this drama is the second couple. Ruling is a hypocrite and little snake is dumb as hell. They don't even have enough chemistry to justify their so-called romance.
Was literally thinking the same exact thing every time he pops up on screen.
Introverted, always supportive (and doesn't boast about it), hardworking, a bit clumsy and somewhat adorable... and handsome! It'll be weird to see him playing a different type of guy in Tempest next month.
