He is an incredible actor! I am currently watching him in Duel and it's great. He is acting alongside Jung Jae Young and he is an amazing actor as well. I love the dynamic between the two characters! I am at episode 4 and it yet has to bore me, which is saying a lot, considering how easily bored i get when whatching tv shows. Truly interesting story with solid characters!
There's someone I know who would never watch Asian drama no matter how hard I coax because her preference in the…
what i always find funny is, the flower boy is actually very popular in the west too, but when it's an asian man, all of a sudden it's too feminine for them xD but then we have so many pretty actors in hollywood tv shows becoming the most popular character...
okay... i am absolutely IN LOVE with this drama! currently i am on epsode 9 (long episode, so if you watch on a site where they upload short episodes, it'd probably be 17), and it's been very interesting up until now. yes, not the most realistic series, but i don't care! the characters really are the main reason why i find this so good. ALL great and even the side characters have depth. i have so much empathy for each of them, it's crazy! (that usually doesn't happen) i don't know where the story will go and how it will end, but right NOW, i can say, it's one of a kind! <3 the actors do a good job. oh, and don't listen to those people whining about the female lead being annoying (like they always do, on literally EVERY drama), don't get manipulated into thinking that before you even give this show a chance. like i said, i find every characters interesting in their way and all of them are well acted :) that's of course too, my personal opinion only, but objectively i can say: it is at LEAST well produced. at least! the only negative is, like i said, it is a bit unrealistic, but honestly, it didn't bother me, because it's so interesting, and most dramas are unrealistic anyways. let's say, it is not to an degree where it would be annoying, at least that's how i feel like. (the whole prision scenario was really unrealistic and most of the time things happen for the advantage of the plot, but beyond that, everything else is just awesome.) please give it a try ^_^ maybe in the beginning you might be unsure, but it definitely gets better. the characters are (have to stress this yet again) the BEST part. you will like them more, after you get to know them. also, i think this drama does something that i haven't seen in any drama yet. it really confronts you with death. ethical questions and it makes you thinking deep. okay, many shows confront the viewer with death and ethical questions, BUT, this particular drama.. idk... it has this unique way of doing that, that really gets in your mind, but in a positive, calm way. this sounds so weird, but sadly my english is a bit limited it seems, since i just can't explain it well, or maybe it's not the language, but the fact that i haven't slept in a long time and my concentration really is at its lowest point right now xD well, in short: pain and death. this is the theme, that this series sticks with, and it works well. and again: Ji Sung is amazing. his characters is really different from most male leads. the female lead is not annoying at all and very useful, i also find, that she is a very good person. the other male lead is soooo cute as well and i want to see that actor in more dramas in the future! but the whole cast is just wonderful.
i am so curious as to how all of this will unfold! hoping for a good ending~
WARNING, minor Spoiler ahead ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ edit: okay, so i watched everything and mainly it was great, but on episode 15 something happenend and since then, it was just not the same anymore. what happened? :( (i could tell you that of course, since i know what happened, but i didn't want to mark this as spoiler) i think i will just ignore the last few episodes (15-16, when you count as long episodes/ 29-32, when you count as short episodes, i guess - not sure). everything else was fantastic, but the writers somehow became lazy at the end... all the episodes before that i really enjoyed! however, because of the end, i couldn't give this a 9 or 9.5, so i "only" gave this a 8.5. which is STILL above average for me! i couldn't give lower, i feel like i have been strict as is. but it's true though, that ending was lazy af. you should still watch it, and not let the last 2 (or 4 in short) episodes ruin your experience. just ignore them like i did, and you're good to go, 'cause like i said: this series is one of a kind! :)
Ala, i really appreciate that you just gave away your true self to all of us, so that we can ignore your comments…
hehe, i like maaaaaaaany kpop groups~ i rarely identify as part of the "fandoms" though, since i get to experience many people in real life, that are just... too much and i realize that i am just not a part of that, i for example really like BTS as human beings and their older music very much, but then i know so many people personally, that just take it too far and i am not fitting into this world, so i always feel like i can't call myself an "army". all the armys i ever see, be it in videos or in real life act a way that i never could. as for the music only, i enjoy a LOT of kpop (and the dances and mv's, also the style). the only fandoms i can confidently say i am a part of, is probably just "blackjack" and "starlight" (2NE1 - i know they are disbanded, but i will forever be their fan - and Vixx - they have such a quiet, but loving fandom) i love all the other groups as well, such as EXO, Stray Kids, Monsta X, Shinee, BtoB, and many solo artists~ :3 back then i was a STRONG V.I.P (fandom of Big Bang).... but right now, i am just kinda... i still love T.O.P (my first bias ever~) and Taeyang and GD. Daesung i like too. but overall, i'd say i am no more a V.I.P.
Sorry, that was longer than you probably would've expected xD
Ala, i really appreciate that you just gave away your true self to all of us, so that we can ignore your comments…
it's a real issue! we lost a lot of talented people this way. we must always remind ourselves that our words have power. we may not even think deeply about all the things we say, but it can impact a person's live to the point were they want to end it all. i try to be careful all the time to not hurt others, even though as a human it is impossible to never hurt anyone, at least one can try their best not to. yeah, i also wonder, how can you judge a person by just their looks like that? especially Sehun. i mean, i am not his fan, but he seems so sweet and hilarious. we only see him in videos, and i couldn't find any serious controversies. so we can only judge what we have, which is pretty much nothing. i don't know how one could call him a "self-entitled snob".
it's wonderful to find reasonable people on the internet ^_^
Ala, i really appreciate that you just gave away your true self to all of us, so that we can ignore your comments…
seriously, such people worry me :/ i agree, the statement is ridiculous... and even more ridiculous is the amount of likes the comment got! so weirded out by that.. Sehun doesn't deserve this kind of hate.
what do you mean by introverted boss being annoying? did you watch past episode 5?
actually, yes, i felt like that too, but i promise you, it redeems itself! i did not yet complete all of it, but seriously, it got SO much better after episode 5, even the female lead redeemed herself and i didn't think that this was possible at all, i really disliked her and only continued because of the male lead and since i was rooting for him. if you can fight through the first episodes, i say, give it another chance! :) it is a pain at first, but it's really good afterwards.
if only... if ONLY, they would make a second season, certainly, it is deserving to be continued. honestly, this show could've been really big. SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!! but they finished it, before it could even start properly ;_; what a shame.... the acting is seriously great, the ost is fantastic, there is just this charm about the characters and their stories and the directing. if you like shows like "sherlock" you will like this, i think. i wanted to know more about Gil Soo Hyun and they could've done so much with Oh Dae Young's character too. criminal minds didn't really start off that strong and look, after time now it counts as one of the most popular crime shows today (even when it kinda died by now), my point is, this drama could've been HUGE!! even internationally, it could've been successful. if only they continued it.....= there is still so much to explore, so many hints, so many directions it could go into, so many epic character developments and bonds, as well as rivalries that i could think of.. literally, there are SO MANY questions that weren't answered yet, we barely even touched the main characters past. there could be some awesome twists also, like for example with the detective. that would be amazing to see, like i have all these ideas how the story could continue! it will all probably just stay in my imagination now... sadly >_<
23!? She looks so much older! Not saying it as a bad thing. It's just that I was surprised. She's really good…
nah~ i wouldn't say that she looks MUCH older^^ but i get what you mean. korean celebrities tend to look much younger than they actually are, so i guess our eyes must already be used to seeing that? xD
