DAMN...possibly THE best much younger male representation in dramaland (that I've seen so far)????? Such a wholesome…
dont mind me replying to a 2 month old comment but- everytime ichika pulled her hand away from amane and he like questioned everything for a few seconds was just peak romance idc
Genuinely so good so far, I'm on ep 6 and I love the pace. I wish the episodes were longer, I wish the season was longer, I wish there was a second season to look forward too. Not even just the way they portray that era, but the tension between the leads is like no other drama, it's so understanding, layered, restrained and all in the best of ways. I usually dislike age gap dramas purely because it feels like its just a cheap way to give fanservice for audiences, but this one is so unique. I really like how layered their feelings are but how it doesn't overwhelm the episode with only angst. Hopefully the end of the drama doesn't feel unresolved, because so far I love it.
yups that's right, Song Yiting is strange..it turns out that he suddenly likes Li Shiliu. But it is possible that…
Omg I thought of that too but then again its so hard to imagine shangguan being in a loveline lol, his character of being a handsome bum clashes so much with yiting's character
I'm still in episode 11, and I have to say I'm not really enjoying the Li Shi Liu plot as much as I enjoyed episodes…
The switcherooing is great though, but I too feel a little on the fence because its just every episode is another misunderstanding. Still, the set up makes each episode pretty entertaining
The 180 of nan heng doing everything to try and kill her to trying to protect her cracks me up but I wonder what happened to the mechanic of the scriptwriters power. Is it not coming into play because the two technically like each other even if in a complicated way?
Also no matter what you think of the leads dynamic, god is the emperor insufferable. Him going as far as taking the incompetence of nan rui onto yimeng was beyond baffling.
Those that keep saying she's dumb have no idea since they refuse to accept they've been given the full over-seeing…
I think it's also kind of realistic that she didn't grow after going into the script, it makes sense that z-tiered celeb soaks up the newfound advantages of being rich and well-liked by everyone. overall, it's a fun set up, people who are trying to drag down the fl have little whimsy lol
I rlly like this drama, it felt similar to eastern fantasy at first but then devolved into its own story and charm. Also there being minimal romance between the elads apart from the script writers forcefulness is really amusing.
Also ik ppl keep saying the fl is dumb- its not that she's dumb but she's moving based on what she knows from the script. But the ml and sml are individuals that are moving separately from what the script says, so she cant possibly calculate what theyre thinking. I rlly like that she's not a mastermind, its much more fun character to follow around. Also also, this is my fave ive seen lyn play so far^^
I kinda don't understand whats it gonna be about. Is this just a school drama but more serious but then he gets…
It's about a high school class election, the nickname is just context about how the school thinks of the main lead at first. It's a school drama that's overdramatic, i just finished it and it was a fun watch, but nothing super special. i think the overall 7.2 rating is true, but its not exactly a 2 or 3 rating like the top reviews imo
your initial statement in some episodes i think is a big mistake on ML's character here, i can understand what…
He understands the circumstances though. While she symbolizes the passing of his family- she didnt cause it. His abuse towards her in the beginning is still abuse. Which gets glossed over quickly. It was just hard to watch because the romance felt forced after not acknowledging all that much.
Just my opinion after watching 25+ episodes. Maybe its because I don't really like these sort of brooding ML anymore lol
Im mortified for this to come out. The webtoon is a fave of mine, one of the few I've bothered to read fully and ooof... kdramas dont have a great track record of adapting webtoons tbh
I... don't understand why the drama is trying to make me believe the ML hasn't hurt the FL. Like... he's choked her. Twice. 0 apology, 0 acknowledgement. Just a scene where she says she isnt scared of him.
I really liked the FL tho, her scheming was fun to watch. I just couldn't stand the ML at all.
