this wasn't a gl- but its a gl, iykwim. im so glad this drama wasn't just about the cattiness of girl friendships and had connections between the characters that were more than superficial greed and jealousy. even if some parts were far-fetched and cheesy, i was so happy when the girls were working together. and about the gl part- i loved how things weren't done for the sake of baiting. the smol chemi between supporting characters was enough for me because at the very least it wasn't filmed to be exploitative or gimicky. only thing i'd say disappointed me was how the villain was kind of a caricature, but, i think her performance at least elevated what was on the script, so it didn't bother me too much to stop enjoying the drama. but ya, recommend this if someone is thinking about it!

i really wanted to like this, i love hyeri and the main leads had a lot of chemi before shit hits the fan in the drama. but the script was so disjointed. not only were so many components far-fetched, but logic was gone in the last few episodes. you couldn't even tell what was part of the plan and what wasn't in the end. i'm just tired of gl series being so bottom of the barrel. and i'm so surprised so many people are settling for this kind of story.

the script felt so... disjointed... so many things were left unexplained or halfassed. i wish that instead of all the fluff around drugs and the sociopathic dad or something was left out and the girls' of the class were explored better. somehow i feel like this was a worse gl story than like pyramid game, which wasn't even marketed as a gl.

i agree- i really love weak hero because despite being dramatic in its action and setup, its still grounded in reality. this drama does have some good action scenes and moment, but it almost feels disney showish... just with cursing instead

Sad that people question this movie just because it got western attention. Yes, western attention is highly overrated and doesn't determine the worth of works from overseas. However, Parasite is truly an interesting and scathing commentary on capitalism and how parasitic our relationships with other humans have become. Don't dismiss it just because it is "praised by the elites" especially when this movie was not made with the"elites" in mind.

THANK YOU! I am at the part of the 17 yo and the ML and was like none of the reviews mentioned this. it was extremely disturbing to see ngl. i didn't care for the other women and their interest in him bc their grown ass women, but the writers really went wild with the teen chara imo.

shizuka and kei are very cute in their interactions but i can't help having a perspective on the whole smart city thing to be justifying gentrification...a lot of times true intentions of capitalism are masked with the notion that it will help the inhabitants of the town when it really will end up displacing them. Then again, this is japan and not america, so it could just be interpretting it with the wrong cultural lens.
