Okay so I had to drop this. I had a comment before where I said I was going to continue to watch even with the love triangle but I can't... This show has amazing cinematography and I love the story so far! However, the romance is not it. I know a lot of people seem to dislike the male lead but I honestly love him! I got so tired of the trope where the FL was the sickly damsel in distress while the ML was the hero. Now the roles are reversed but for TWENTY episodes, she ends up with the SML who's also a hero??? Like, I honestly liked the chemistry between the FL & SML but if they were going to write in their love story, they should've made HIM the ML. Everytime I seen the actual ML & FL on screen together, I shipped them so much but it annoyed me that she actually liked the SML. And it makes it even worse that her and the SML eventually "break up" and she ends up with the ML. Like it feels like she just kinda chose him as second best.

Now I've also found out that the main couple don't end up together until ep.32? which is the LAST EPISODE? Like what? I'm so sad because I finally found another drama with a FL who can actually fight her own battles... but then they completely mess up the love story? I remember why I didn't want to watch this in the first place, because if she was going to take the entire series to end up with the ML, then she shouldn't have ended up with him at all. 🙄

Apparently I dropped this drama and rated it a 1.0 last year for some reason lol. Idk why but i'm going to re-watch it this year (since i have nothing else to watch) with a fresher mindset and give it another try! I'll update on if I liked it or not...

Coming back to leave this comment, ignore all of the weird comments below. As someone who has watched over 150+ dramas (95% of them being romance), this was 100% a romance drama. If you want to be spoiled a tiny bit, keep reading!

This story, to put it shortly, was basically the story of 2 immortal beings (dan hwal & sang un) who loved each other since the beginning of time. They were basically creatures that were made for each other, and the hatred between them started from jealousy. I'm not going to spoil too much and go into detail but it's such a beautiful show. This should be put under the romance tag because this is such a perfect romance story.

There's so many parallels and so many hints this show drops and everything perfectly ties back to each other. PLEASE WATCH THIS. You won't regret it, it's SO good!!!!

Okay so, like 2 days ago I left a comment here saying I would give my review on this show after finally watching it when everyone was saying it was good. (also last night I was here, the rating was at 9.0 and just after a few hours it's already dropped to 8.9, that's crazy.)

This is the first show in a while that i'm giving a 5/10. It started off super strong, I haven't laughed that much at a kdrama rom com in forever and i was so ready to give it a good rating. I LOOOVVEEEDD the ML & the FL, also loved the friendship between both male and female leads. I did notice that this show is using the same "contract relationship" cliche that most old dramas used but I tried to ignore it because I actually like that trope. However, It definitely took me a while to get through this show when I normally binge shows back to back, which says a lot. I've decided to drop it because this writing is so lazy and ridiculous.

First of all, at the end of episode 10, the grandfather was telling ha-ri to stay away from tae-moo. I get its because he likes "geum-hui", however, earlier on in the show he was literally disappointed that someone in his favorite drama would treat someone like that. So why is he suddenly doing the same. Like why suddenly change his character when he was such a sweetheart before. Secondly, i'm getting tired of this whole pulling drama out of nowhere thing. Like the leads were doing great, now suddenly the FL has to prove herself? It's just too much, especially for the final 2 episodes. I can understand if there were gonna be like 4 or 5 more episodes so we at least get some sweet moments but just crunching all of that drama in the span of 2 episodes? It's lazy writing honestly.

Anyways, i'd definitely classify this drama as overrated, which i NEVER do. Dramas like CLOY & Vincenzo are rated at a 9.0, however I don't think this drama is on the same level as that. Maybe a 8.0-8.4?

This drama is really good, and the chemistry between the male lead and female lead is perfect. The only things I hated about this drama were the second leads story. I honestly skipped through mostly every scene involving the second couple because it was ridiculous. In hyung was made into a victim most of the time and the writers made her so pitiful that it annoyed me. She was constantly getting herself into some type of trouble. JaeJoon was just an abusive, toxic, a-hole the entire show. What annoyed me the most was that in the end, the writer seemed to have wrapped up every bit of the storyline neatly with a bow. Even the villains of the story got their redemption.

Overall, 8/10 for the romance and the main leads story. So beautiful! Everything else gets a 0.

So i left my 2nd comment about this show 3 months ago saying: "Back after 7 months to give this show a second try. My last review was after watching the first 3 episodes and i said the plot was chaotic, awkward and all over the place but the comedy and cinematography were nice. Let's see if I still feel the same way or not c:

EDIT: At episode 2... thinking of dropping it AGAIN. How do people like this?"

So it's been 10 months total that I had been trying to give this show a try. It's now my 3rd comment and i've officially watched the entire show! Took me 4 days to finish but honestly, it was pretty good! Definitely make it past the first 3 episodes if you're watching for the first time, the plot gets better and the story is pretty amazing. Plus the romance is nice as well! And those kisses... whew! 8/10 for me c:

Title Snowdrop Spoiler
This is the worst show I've ever watched. It had amazing writing, beautiful cinematography, the cast had great chemistry and it kept me hooked for so long. I will probably never find such a great show like this in a while.

BUT WHY DID IT HAVE TO END THAT WAY??? I don't get why he had to die... like it doesn't make sense to me. I would've preferred if the two of them just split up and wondered about each other from their own countries. Or even both of them dying together. The ML protected the FL throughout the entire show and ended up facing the harshest death. Why was this not tagged as tragic ending? I would not have watched if I knew because I can't handle death scenes like that T_T. The FL lost so much in such a short period of time and in the end she has to continue living alone. No mother, no brother, father locked up and the man she loved murdered. Like both of the leads got such a cruel ending and they were the best people in this story! So disappointing.

Giving it a 10/10 because everything else was amazing but it makes me sad because this is the type of show I can never watch again. Imo, tragic ending shows are meant to be watched once and then forgotten about. Now it's time to go re-watch CLOY to fix my broken heart after this show T_T.

THIS IS THE BEST SHOW I'VE EVER SEEN! Do not hesitate to watch, i'm telling you, you will be hooked from the beginning. If you're a hopeless romantic like me and think that there's no romance between the leads, trust me, there is. I normally don't like shows where the leads don't share a kiss, but this is the only show where I believe a kiss scene wasn't even needed. The way the leads have loved each other and searched for each other for a thousand years just shows enough. Even if they lost their memories, they still somehow found each other over and over again. Trust me, watch this. You won't be disappointed!

Just hearing Sang Un tell Hwal "You can't die. Thinking about you dying makes me feel like half of me will die too." And then also hearing Hwal tell Sang Un "You can't die either. You said you'll feel like you'll lose half of you but I'd feel like i'm losing all of me because that's what you are to me." literally destroyed me. This show deserves AWARDS. 10/10.

Honestly I love Xu Kai, the first show I seen him in was Arsenal Military Academy and I immediately fell in love.…
Also, the writing didn't make sense to me. She obviously liked the ML and even said outloud to her friend that she liked him but the moment he confessed to her, she was to afraid to date him because she was scared that he was gonna be like "every other guy"? But it's like if you feel like that, why like him in the first place? IDK, This show was just weird in general for me, it didn't click at all. 5/10

Honestly I love Xu Kai, the first show I seen him in was Arsenal Military Academy and I immediately fell in love. Every drama he's been in, he just plays his role so well. However, I didn't like this show. I'm pretty far in at episode 23 but I'm deciding to drop this. Normally it takes me 2-3 days to binge a whole show but i've been watching this for about a week now because of how many times I had to stop since it was so boring. The ML and FL do have chemistry but someone commented before about how the FL acts like she has no emotion and I agree! She's just so stone faced all the time unless she *has* to smile. Otherwise, she's just a rock!

Title A Korean Odyssey Spoiler
So i saw this once before and I had the same thought everyone else did. "The bracelet is what made him love her, so its not real love". However, i'm rewatching this for the second time and I can't believe I even thought that at all. I'm only on episode 2 but you can tell that the ML genuinely got bothered when he thought she didn't need him. It bothered him to know that she waited 25 years for him and ended up disappointed. I 100% believe now that he definitely felt SOMETHING before the bracelet. The umbrella scene where he fixed it for her, brought it back to where she lost it WHILE IT WAS COLD, and after she found it, he literally scared her on purpose to make her leave the dark alleyway in order to avoid danger. Even if it wasn't love yet, he definitely cared somewhat about her and I feel like the bracelet enhanced that. I definitely misjudged this show!

Okay so I have to say, I put off watching this show because I was waiting until they re-recorded the first episodes…
[SPOILERRRR] I'm at episode 6 and I AM IN LOVE!!! On Dal saying "My only fate is you" to Ga Jin and telling her that he doesn't care what she says and that they'll be man and wife someday was the most romantic scene I have ever seen in the 200+ dramas i've seen. The intensity in his eyes was just perfect. I've never seen Na In Woo act before this drama but I must say, he's AMAZING. This is the first time in a while that i've felt my heart flutter for the main couple. SO GOOD!!

Okay so I have to say, I put off watching this show because I was waiting until they re-recorded the first episodes with the new lead and now that they have, i'm going to start watching today!

I'm only 50 seconds in to the first episode and Kim So Hyun already looks so beautiful and grown up! I've only really ever seen her in roles where she portrays a teenager, but here she looks like a woman! And it's crazy that she's only a year younger than me. Super excited for this show, will keep this thread updated.

Title Naeil's Cantabile Spoiler
Had to drop this right before the last 2 episodes sadly.

The story was pretty good, the music was AMAZING and I loved the friendship of all the characters throughout the show. However I had 3 big problems that just ended up making this show unbearable to watch.

1st, I hated the fact that Nae ill barely got her time to shine. Yes she did have her moments that wowed me but it seemed as though the story was mainly focused on Yu Jin, rather than who the show is named after. It like she was constantly in his shadow and I hated that. She was also literally made to be the "mascot" for the orchestra. And when it came time for a pianist to compete with said orchestra, she wasn't even considered!

2nd, speaking of being in someone's shadow, Nae ill literally followed Yu Jin like a puppy throughout the entire show. I was okay with it at the beginning because she was supposed to be super naïve and then eventually grow into a woman. However, EVERYTHING she did and every decision she made was based around Yu Jin. It's like she couldn't think for herself, she just wanted to follow him everywhere. I get being in love and I know some Korean Dramas have this narrative where the girl is blindly loyal to one man even if he rejects her a billion times but this annoyed me so much. I wanted her to chase her dream because SHE wanted it. But she literally only competed and practiced because she wanted to follow Yu Jin abroad. The show literally classified her as a "genius" but made her live in the shadow of a man. I hated that.

And finally, I had super bad second lead syndrome. I've watched over 120+ dramas and this is the second drama i've had actual SML syndrome. 25% was because it's park bo geum and he's fine as hell so i couldn't help myself LOL. But majority of that was because how nice and open he was with Nae ill. He never lied to her and his only goal was to make her happy. When she rejected him, I literally wanted to punch my screen because he did not deserve that :(

Anyways, this show gets a 6/10 for me. I should not have listened to the positive comments.

been waiting for this series to fully complete for a while now and i guess it finally is! Gonna start watching…
Alright so, i've made it to episode 3 and i'm ready to drop this. Super disappointed. I wanted to atleast make it to ep 5 to give it more of a chance but I really feel like i'm wasting my time here. I've watched over 100+ dramas and most of the time, the first episode hooks me. Even if I end up dropping the show later, the 1st episode almost always draws me in. But from the beginning, this show has been so... hectic? The storyline is literally all over the place, and because they try to push the comedy and action, it feels so emotionless. Even at the end of episode 2 when Cha Young was staring at Vincenzo, it felt so awkward. Cinematography was great and so was the acting, but so far, i don't see how this show got a 9.0 rating. Definitely dropping this and maybe i'll continue it when i'm bored or something because this show is not worth binge watching for me. Pretty disappointed :/

Even Playful Kiss, something I consider one of the worst dramas i've seen, has better storyline pacing.
