I know Lee jong suk is like 30 or something but he looked like Lee na young son... I couldn't picture them together…
This is why I ended up dropping it myself! The FL just looked wayyyy older than the ML & I felt super awkward watching it. It was like a mom with her child.

!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!: I’m not going to leave an official review since I stopped at episode 8 so I’ll just leave this comment here. But I can’t. I tried but I can’t. I absolutely loathe this show oml. Like I’ve never disliked a show this much! I was really trying my hardest to push through because someone on reddit told me that this show was worth watching but it isn’t AT ALL. First of all, this is the first time I’ve found a female lead genuinely annoying. I understand that her being clingy comes from past trauma but this is TOO MUCH. First she was “in love” with Lee Hoon Dong, then he broke her heart and she wanted a real explanation (which is understandable). But it literally took her all of a few days to move on the the waiter guy! Literally it’s as if any guy could smile at her and she’d claim him. On top of that, I was expecting a romance and normally with dramas we see even a SPRINKLE of chemistry between the leads within the first 5 episodes at least but literally nothing really happened until maybe the 6th or 7th and it was with the ML! The FL still has her eyes set on waiter boy! It’s so frustrating because the ML is at fault as well for not stepping up and I understand that the waiter boy is “nice to her” so she likes him but it’s frustrating as a viewer because we all know who has to end up together in the end so why is it taking so long? Not to mention the plot is SUPER BORING. I’ve seen a lot of shows with childhood trauma tropes but the way they did this was horrible. Like I didn’t even feel anything. Even with the scene where the FL was supposed to be panicking because she was in the same situation she was as a child, it didn’t even seem Genuine. Like this is the first time that I’ve gotten frustrated and bored at the same time with a kdrama!

This is why I hate this website sometimes. People who leave reviews here really ruin it for potential watchers. I had this show sitting on my list for a VERY long time because of the reviews. But the thing is, I’m only on episode 3 and this is probably one of THE best dramas I have ever seen so far. It has amazing writing & that acting is off the charts. The only bad acting in this show so far is from the people who are supposed to portray “foreigners”. I’ve never seen the FL act anywhere before but her acting is AMAZING. You know you’re drawn in when the actress cries & you end up crying along with her. I can’t give a complete review yet since I’m only on episode 3 but I will say this. If you’re hesitating watching this, don’t. Honestly, I’d prefer this over Vagabond any day even though Vagabond is amazing in itself. Wow, I haven’t ever felt this excited over a kdrama.

So I was waiting until this drama was finished to watch it and now i'm super excited about it because this is the first time on this website that i've seen the comments be MAJORITY positive! If that's the case then this must be a great show! I'll reply to this comment and review it after i'm finished watching!

I really don't understand why there are so many negative reviews! Let me tell you, if you're having doubts about watching this show, get rid of them now because this show is AMAZING. Not only is there romance & humor but it also has a huge mystery element to it and also it continues to leave you shocked over and over. I introduced my boyfriend who hates kdramas do this show and he chose this over Vagabond! (I showed him vagabond after this show & Vagabond is on a whole level on its own so I was shocked to hear him say that lol)

Honestly, its worth watching 1000%. The romance is so wholesome and the ML is a great kisser!

literally made an account just to leave this comment. I've been watching kdramas for a while now but this was my FIRST ever Kdrama. Let me warn you right now, DO NOT WATCH THIS DRAMA! Like normally, I don't mind cutesy shy girls who have a crush on the cold hearted male lead but this was on another level of horrible. The girl was cute and shy but she was also extremely immature and only thought of the ML. She would get upset over the smallest things and when he wouldn't give her the attention she wanted or when they got into arguments, she would mope and sink into a depression where she wouldn't eat. Then the ML was just a horrible person in general. I thought he was just going to be the normal cliche cold hearted teen but he was borderline verbally abusive towards the FL. And it seemed like he enjoyed it! This kdrama was just all around terrible. But hey, if you like extremely weak and cringey FL & Verbally and emotionally abusive ML then this is the show for you.
