I know the show isn't over yet but as someone who hasn't watched this, i have 2 questions.

1.) Is there romance or at least slight romance? (this seems like a story driven show so i'm not expecting the typical kiss, hug, and confess feelings kind of romance, I'm talking about the burning stares, protecting each other and crazy chemistry kind of romance)
&
2.) Are there a lot of scenes with the ML & FL together? Or is it just the ML + his enemies for the most of the show?

Only asking because I don't mind a show without a heavy romance line but I need SOME romance or else I'll find it boring. Revenge shows are cool & all but I need a little romance/angst to really keep me interested and if this show is just about the ML getting revenge and the FL is a subplot then I'd rather just watch through clips! c:

(If this is anything like "The Double" then it's exactly what i'm asking for. The FL there focused on her revenge for the whole show & the ML was there to help her while they also fell in love/had sizzling chemistry. Is it anything like that?)

I missed Naksu so much!!! Like i loved seeing the powerful legend Naksu in episode 1 & then how cruel/smart she was as she disguised herself as mudeok! She was so badass and I loved it! But then we got to part 2 where she became jin buyeon and it was nice at first to see a more calm/playful side of her, but I wish we got to see Naksu pick up her sword and fight once more before the season ended! Everything just went to Jang Uk which like, i get he was also a main character but I wanted to see the legendary Naksu again!! Like when she finally killed Jin Mu, the revenge she gave him was more of a Jin Buyeon revenge. I wanted to see her use her own sword and slice him or something! But whatever I guess. Still a good show! Just wished to see something more!

After years, i finally got around to watching the end of part 2 & my 8.5 rating stays the same unfortunately! Part 1 was great and the beginning of part 2 was even better! I personally didn’t mind the switch between the 2 actors for the FL because younjung did such a good job at mimicking somins acting of mudeok! I barely felt the change tbh!!

However, this part doesn’t get my full 10/10 like part 1 for one reason only. (Spoilers below!!!)

rewatching this for the millionth time 😊one of my top 5 c dramas!

i have been trying to watch this show since it came out but literally can’t make it past episode 3 because i just don’t click with the characters or story at all. Which is annoying, cause the ML is one of my favorite actors PLUS “hidden love” is one of my top five cdramas!!

BUT as of today, i’m gonna go ahead and give this show another chance and just push through, even if I have to fast forward some scenes in the beginning episodes. Everyone is raving about this show and the rating is almost at a 9 so it HAS to be good!! I’ll be back with an update once i’ve completed it…

Anyways, I ended up dropping this at episode 21 and gave it a 7/10! This couple had so much chemistry that their scenes felt so real! However, the lack of angst is what dropped this show from a 9 to a 7 for me. They dragged out the whole “secret identity” thing for wayyy too long and then when they finally got together, it just got boring. It also felt like he liked her more than she liked him, which makes sense because he’s a fan but i was hoping for a few scenes of her having to chase after him. Instead, he came off as a little obsessive at times whenever he felt like he was going to lose her. Showing up to the places she was, worried af, etc. Idk. It’s still a nice watch, I just think I needed a little more angst from his side and a little more yearning from her side and this would’ve been perfect!

i’m sorry but the coding scene in ep 3 was so funny😭 . like im no code expert but the way the actor was typing “bjjfikbfauiogxndurgnoh” basically just keyboard smashing while inputting code was KILLING ME LMAO. Like the camera could have atleast been angled in a way where we couldn’t see the screen or they could’ve blurred the screen in editing or something so it actually looks like he’s coding but instead it just looked so funny LOL

In S1, everyone loved suho (i mean duh, he’s the goat) but i’ve always been a sucker for the main character so as soon as I saw si-eun, i was so hooked on him and just hoped to see more from his character. Since S1 was a “prologue/flashback” for this season, it made sense that sieun wasn’t at his full capabilities. I’m just so happy that during S2, we got to see some development with sieun and I loved how crazy he went! The screams he let out while brutally fighting was insane and you could tell he was getting better with each fight, like he was learning as he went. I really hope they have a season 3, i’d love to see more of sieuns development, especially with his new group of friends and maybe some suho as well since i feel like he’d fit right in with Baku!! Ugh I love this show and this universe. What a masterpiece.

I keep coming back here, even after already leaving like 4 comments lol. This show is just so amazing man.

my theory is that bumseok/that boxing ring is si euns guilty conscience. Because we see him sitting alone in it in episode 1 and then throughout the show, he’s still struggling with being happy/moving on & then towards the end when he’s finally ready to let go, bumseok aka his guilt tries to hold him back from leaving and literally guilt trips him. I think sieun feels guilty for trying to keep his friends together, even though bumseok turned into a literal villain and that’s why he’s basically punishing himself with being unhappy up until the end.

But ur right, i would’ve had to throw bumseok over the ropes of the ring after seeing his face again 💀

Definitely a very beautiful and touching show, i even cried a few times in the first few episodes but I didn’t make it past episode 5. Just couldn’t finish it for some reason.

i literally cannot leave this page LOL. This show has me in a chokehold, i can’t stop thinking about how amazing it was. I have been in such a kdrama slump because none of the Kdramas this year have really impressed me. I always end up dropping them half way through, even if they’re short. I’m also a romance girlie, like i only really watch dramas that have romance in it so the fact that this is my number one kdrama of the year already says a lot for me. Omg. This was insane, I need to go outside and touch grass before I make this drama my whole personality LMAO.

Yep, at least imo. I was also not a fan of how anime/comic book the fight scenes were in SG. I get they did it on purpose but i prefer the gritty fight scenes that WH does and imo S2 did it even better than season one. Had me going “damn” with every kick and punch. I was almost ducking and weaving, it literally felt like actual street fights. That’s just my opinion though, you gotta check it out for yourself to see if it’s your style!

i mean WOW what a show!!! I didn’t know if they could manage to top season 1 which was already S-tier, but they did it! The villains were better, the fight scenes were amazing, the friend group/bromance was amazing, si-euns character development was amazing, the story/plot line had me hooked and the reveals at the end had me BAWLING!!! What a show!! No flaws at all, 10/10, i need season 3 like yesterday!!! I might have to do a rewatch already like im so stunlocked. Wow man.

cant wait to binge!! Excited to see what si-eun gets up to!

i’m hoping when they said “see you in season 2”, they actually meant they’re already planning for a season 2 because this was AMAZING! Watched for Ji Ye Eun & ended up loving all of them!! What a great cast that worked so well together! Also, the guests were great and I love how they went along with everything! No crazy stuff, just peaceful vibes, touching stories and fun!! 10/10, really hope to see a next season!! I’m kinda hoping to see a season 2 with celebrity guests! I would love to see how kstars would fair with living in something bizarre that Kian designs!

watched this for ye-eun but i love the whole cast! This was so funny and i feel like they all have such great chemistry together! I need the next 3 episodes NOW!!! This was so fun!! I can’t wait to see what else they do with the show. It’s not over yet and i’m already hoping for a S2 cause 9 episodes are just not enough!! This was great!
