When ㄹ in the beginning of a syllable is preceded by the final consonant ㄱ it becomes an ㄴ. In turn the ㄱ , now followed by an ㄴ sound, needs to become ㅇ. So 석류 (Seok-ryu) -> 성뉴 (Seong-Nyu)
So 석류 (Seok-ryu) -> 성뉴 (Seong-Nyu)
