They did get back together, they just didn’t get married or live together. It was nice to see a Korean family…
That’s valid., I apologize I didn’t consider that.
Just TMI for why I said that: my sister and I are 12 years apart and have different fathers, my mom married my dad, but never married my sister’s father, my actual father died 11 years ago, and my sister’s father has always treated me like his own daughter. Present day: my mom and my sister’s father are together, but not married and we’re all just one big happy evolved family.
This would have been a much better show had the 2 parents got back together again, the ending was a real let down.…
They did get back together, they just didn’t get married or live together. It was nice to see a Korean family showing that you can still be a family and not necessarily live together or be married. It was nice that it wasn’t predictable and boring.
I started watching it because I thought it was gonna be fluffy and cliche because the list of heavy dramas and on my watchlist right now is…overwhelming, but OMG WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE! They balanced fluff and really dark topics very well. Also sooooo nice to see the nuance of rivalries/friendships/siblings/families in general. I would 100% rewatch this because it’s short and it’s absolutely not what you expected it to be.
Btw…is it just me, or did the actress who played Chanel kinda look like Korean actress Han So-hee at times…? It was giving me Da-kyung from World of the Married vibes 😅
I didn't miss the kiss at the end. it was such a series that there was more chemistry and feelings in it than…
Same. Their affection for each other was palpable even without it (I mean Su-ho’s smile at the end when he saw her again??? PLEASE 🥵). And aside from the weird twirl lol, I like how they kind of left it open since she didn’t want to be “someone’s wife, someone’s daughter-in-law, someone’s lover”, but rather she has someone’s going to stay by her side and just her let be herself in her own right
whats up with pervert guys with bob cuts in netflix series
I very well could be wrong, so feel free to correct me, but I’ve seen that little boys also often have bowl cuts, so maybe it’s a way to be perceived as young by younger girls or more innocent than they are? Again, I’m probably very wrong
I know I shouldn’t be annoyed by the misogyny of male leads at this point, but it really grinds my gears that Xixi can’t associate with/be alone with Zixian DESPITE being friends for years because he likes her…but it’s ok for Sichen to associate with/be alone with Xiwei BECAUSE they’ve friends for years and she likes him…*bangs head on wall*
As over top as his acting was, the actor who played Nitan really nailed the unhinged, paranoid, psychotic villain role. I couldve sworn they tried to make him a drug addict too, he kept touching his nose and showing signs of paranoia and had violent outbursts, but they never touched on that
Let’s stop calling it “school violence” when it’s actually “attempted murder”. Thinking about some of the Korean celebrities and public figures that I recall having bullying scandals and only ended up losing their jobs terrifies me.
Please don’t take this as a hate comment because it’s absolutely NOT. This is one of the few dramas that actually made me cry this year along with Red Sleeve Cuff and Snowdrop, but…not every drama needs a season 2. This had shockingly amazing closure for ALL the characters despite how many there were. Maybe a special episode if you want to see the crown prince and crown princess’s baby, but I for sure do not want to see our queen, crown prince, and crown princess go through all the stress that would happen in a season 2 lol
