So I'm about 34 episodes in, and what strikes me the most is the blatant wickedness of these so-called pious immortals. I can barely stomach seeing the queen get away with her rampant and repugnant deeds, not to mention the emperor who killed his father and brother for the throne, along with countless others. I know they die, but death doesn't seem enough for them? I'm somebody who thought "Love and Redemption" had a good deal of suffering, but this drama takes the cake. Bad people get to be bad for a long time and it's so frustrating.

All of this is made worse by Jinmi's seeming obliviousness. I know she can't help it, but watching Xu Feng volley for her affections and leave with so little in return makes me so sad. Runyu is the closest to being aware of her condition and blatantly capitalizes on this, making him irredeemable in my eyes. I know they reconcile, but I just can't like anyone at the moment.

The only characters that shine brightly are the Matchmaker Uncle and Water Immortal along with the Wind Immortal. Everyone else is making my eye twitch with annoyance. Help, am I alone in feeling this way?

I don't know how the devil god still exists. Doesn't that mean there was no point in Xi Wu journey if he STILL becomes the devil god? Wasn't the problem with there being a devil god due to the fact that there were no other gods to fight against him, leaving him unopposed? If this is still true, what difference did Xi Wu's death make?
