Exactly, because he is an ML pursuing FL, he needs to be thankful for her attention. But when it's FL who pursues ML, it's also ML who has to be thankful for it and even pay back, like in Hidden Love. You wouldnt see comments saying Hidden Loves FL should be the one apologizing and thanking ML, since its her doing the pursuing. Oh no, as soon as ML realizes she was pursuing her, he schemes an entire plot to "pay her back". Or in you are my glory when ML rejects FL. Yes, he also had important reasons. He did like her, but was unsecure about his financial situation and that is the only reason he rejected her. But since he is male, he has to apologize and win her back while she is mad for 6 episodes. Yet when FL rejects ML in a drama, she had important reasons, like here or in the first frost, and it just means ML has to work harder

At the end, every scene like the one we are talking about in romance dramas is a clear display of double standards.

The only way a male could have done to FL what she did to ML here, is if he was the villain sML

And the main problem wasnt getting mad without thinking about it. The problem is never apologizing about it, while ML keeps apologizing and even at the end of the scene, saying smug comments like you need to do better. It is her who needs to do better.
Imagine any other drama with oposite roles. FL having a big ass life changing problem, being depressed for years about it, having to suddenly confront it in a stressful life dependant situation.... and ML appeariong and making a scene because she didnt send an sms. Then she proves she sent it. And ML just barely forgives her while saying things like it better never happen again.
Well you cant imagine it becasue it would never happen the other way around in a romance drama.

ML literally said you can pick between us. How can you not call it a triangle. Even shows where FL doesnt like the sML are annoying if he likes her and he gets too much screentime together with her.
But again, it really wasnt annoying in this show, he was too unlikeable and every action he did was against himself. With how much FL liked him, I dont think I would have been able to continue watching it if they have had cute moments together.

She wasnt mad like crazy? Oh right, because when a girl leaves without you and doesnt reply or talk to you she isnt mad like crazy right... Actually that's a step above yelling.
"it just took one text from him".... one text that proved how wrong and mean she had been. She should not have "forgiven him", she should have apologized. And not only did she not do it but she continued saying things like "you need to do better"... what the frak, you entitled brat. How dare you say that to him, who was just reminded he can never operate again, just because his text wasnt delivered to you.... Im amazed you can defend her attitude.

And about the accident, they said literally, and several times "he can never blabla again becaues of her", and "the accident was her fault". I finished the show a few hours ago and they repeat it in the last episodes again. For example when her dad is in the hoispital and her mom appears and finds out about whan happened

You seem to forget this is a romance drama, not real life. If FL got a deadly disease and died, it would be totally realistic, because that happens. But it would be a shit ending. Or if in the future scenes we see one of them cheating. "its not a bad ending, those things happen in real life"... yeah, but Im not watching real life

About the crush, I didnt say it wasnt possible. I said since the show didnt have any scene where we saw them having a nice time together, it was impossible to find it credible. Which was ridiculous but good. You wouldnt call it a love triangle? xD As soon as 2 charcaters have interest in the same charcter, its a triangle. Then it can be more or less annoying, depending on several things, like if the other person ignores the secondary lead completly, or doesnt like him but still does a lot of things with him, or even also likes him.
This triangle would have been terrible, since FL liked him too, but was saved thanks to how ridiculously unbelievable it was, because sML didnt do a single thing to be likeable. He was just pathetic, which made it not annoying.
And about the story not making any sense without the triangle, while the initial crush seems like the premise of the show, it had no real impact. If they would just sshow her final college days, and the start of the missunderstanding between the leads, everything else could have been the same removing sML.

Asian parents beating their kids? wtf of an argument is that? A guy is dieing, ML is confronting his BIG anxiety, and FL, who is an angel, suddenly gets mad like crazy because she was worried. Read the room you brat. But that wasnt the worst thing. She realizes he did send the message and it was just a delivery error.... and she does not apologize? WTF. And he continues apologizing. But this scene is normal if you watch a lot of romance dramas. Inventing a scene so ML has to apologize to FL while she is mad is the bread and butter of romance dramas, since girls are the big audience and thats a guilty pleasure. Dont look for deeper reasons, they just want to get ML apologizing like in 80% of romance dramas. Im just starting love between lines, which has the "healthy relationship" tag. Yet I bet it will have a scene where FL gets mad and ML has to apologize, like every romancedrama, let me get back to you when it probably happens.
In this drama tho it was just unexpected because FL complaining about something so small when somebody is dieing and your love is suffering from his worst fear, is pathetic.

Third point. You like to quote real life.... except when it doesnt suit you. Both know they like the other one, both know they will end up together, both have said so out loud, none of them has any reason that prevents them from getting together... Nobody in real life doesnt start dating when you are at that point. That doesnt mean you are sure you will remain together for life, but you test that by dating, not by "almost dating" while saying you are not dating without any reason at all.

Last but not least, did you watch the same show I did? Or maybe you watched it on chinese and it is a traduction error? Because in english subtitles, they literaly blame first FL and then when the truth comes out, the other girl, for his accident. They literaly say many times it was her fault.
You having an accident while going to see somebody doesnt make the accident her fault. Ridiculous.

I dont mind FL doing something bad. It's usually always ML who does something bad. What I cant stand is that it's always ML who has to apologize, be it because the scriptwriters invents something bad that he does or even worse, FL does something bad and its still ML who has to apologize (like I just saw in Shine on me)

Im just trying to avoid another drama where ML has to apologize to FL because she is mad because of whatever. Almost every romance drama has such a scene and Im tired of it.

The most ridiculous thing was the love triangle. It was more ridiculous than annoying. FL supposedly has a big ass crush on sML that lasts even after already likeing ML.... but they never even show 1 single reason she should like sML. They have 0 cute scenes together. He does 0 things for her. He takes always her rivals side. It just isnt credible that she likes him for so long. And dont get me wrong, that's a good thing. Sure, it is ridiculous, but better ridiculous than annoying. Any love triangle should be removed from any drama.

Another ridiculous thing is the only time she gets mad with ML. I made another big comment below talking about that, so I wont get into details. But she is always so sweet, and a ML has been treating her like a queen. And in one scene she acts like a demon towards him for nothing at all. Typical scene they invent to make ML apologize, because female watchers like that. But in this case, it doesnt even make sense.

Also, they should have gotten together in episode 16, not 24. And I dont say it because I wanted them earlier together and couldnt wait. I say it because it was ridiculous. Both like eachother, and not secretly like in other shows. Both openly know they are going to end up together and dont mind saying so publicly. There is not a single reason they cant be together like family or work pressure, nothing at all. yet they continue being not together just with no reason. In episode 16 there was a scene where they even talk about it, and that moment would have made sense as a get together. Waiting to 24 was ridiculous. And dont get me wrong, Im not saying it felt dragged, since they totally behaved like a couple already, so the show was fine. I just mean it makes no sense at all.

Oh yeah, almsot forgot. The whole "the accident was Xs fault" is completly ridiculous. Having an accident going to see somebody is completly 0 that persons fault.

Just finished it. It is very good. One of those which leave you happy after finishing them.

It has a few ridiculous things I will comment below under spoilers. But all in all, a sweet and lighthearted drama. It also has so many kisses....

mmmh It's fine.

A mediocre show, that's still enjoyable. But with a very annoying and long love triangle.
But id say mediocre is what better defines it. I wont remember it, for good or bad, in a few weeks. But I dont regrest watching it, it was alright.

That still doesnt justify the scene. Ok, she left him a symbol saying she will be loyal to him, well, that's a cute gesture, but that's it, a sweet reminder. You see it, you smile, and that's it. They make a scene as if she had proposed...

What am I missing about the "surprise" she made for him at the end of episode 31?

She has sneakinly being preparing something, and when he finally finds out, he is touched, he runs towards her, they talk as if it was a big thing,. sentimental music plays...

And the only thing she did is buy red beans instead of the yellow ones he uses for the hand training...

I dont even feel that qualifies as a small surprise, yet alone as something deserving a sentimental scene...

And at the end of that scene he tells her, he wasnt sure she loved him completly, but now he is..... Because she bought red beans instead of the usual yellow ones??? wtf

No, it's not like that. I care a lot about balanced display of love in dramas, and this show is very good. The thing I describe above lasts less than half an episode. And when I say he has been 10 episodes doing everything for her, it doesn't mean she wasn't lovely towards him too.

that scene I complain above is the only time FL doesn't behave nice towards him, and it is very short.

also, that scene is before they officially get together in ep24. But they act like a couple much earlier than that. they just miss the "official" couple title. but they know they will get together about 8 episodes earlier. they even say many times, not a couple "yet".

in episode 16 they should have gotten together, there is a scene where they talk about it but they say they are enjoying taking it slow

the reason is romance audience is mainly female, and that situation is a guilty pleasure, having the cool ML apologize to you. almost every asian romance has this scene at some point.

Also, he was in a frikin ambulance with a man close to death. Even if he wouldnt have written a message, it wouldnt have been something to get upset about. Much less make such a big fuss.

And as soon as she saw he had indeed written, after treating him like that she should have run to apologize to him. But of course, FLs get a free pass on apologizing in almost every drama.

But it's even worse. He has a frikin trauma related to not being able to be a surgeon even more. He is there after the operationm with his mind lost in his big problem, and that brat goes there and gets mad at him over nothing.

But it's even worse. ML has spent 10 episodes doing absolutly everything for her. Like the biggest simp. And still she feels so entitled to create that mess over a message he wouldnt send when he was saving a life, when he called her twice, and even wrote the message (she shouldnt get mad even if he hadnt, he called her twice and was in a stress situation)

But it's even worse. Even disregarding MLs feelings, somebody was close to dieing, for fraks sake. And you go all crazy because somebody didnt write you a message and you had to worry.... oh poor you. Somebody was dieing and somebody was saving a live, get your priorities together.

And after all this ML has to apologize 5 times, doesnt receive one single apology after explaining he did write a message, and she still acts all mighty telling him he has to make more effort. What an entitled brat. Do something yourself for the relationship, you are not a Queen talking to the buttler.

EDIT: oh wait, it gets better. When she had already "forgiven him", she starts to think she shouldnt "let him of the hook so easely"... after he has apologized 3 times, and she had accused him WRONGFULLY and realized it and never apologized even once for it.

Every time they do this in a drama they turn FL annoying. She was lovely before, but now she is smiling at him again and I just dont find it sweet anymore. What a moron. He has been doing EVERYTHING for her for 10 episodes, and a message he sent but failed to deliver made her go nuts, making him apologize, while she should be the one doing so, and only "forgiving him" out of pitty for his hand. I cant find her sweet after this

EDIT2: They had to finish the scene with another annoying thing: So after she "forgave him", she finishes: "but today you did seveal things wrong, you need to do better". "ok, Ill try", "You'll try??" "ok,. I promise" "that's more like it"

What the fraking frak. How is everybody saying they have a nice dynamic??? So, a nice dynamic is ML doing absolutly everything for her, apologizing for nothing, thanking her for everything, and still being told he needs to do better (it's the second time now). And the very little things she does for their relationship, are presented as a reward towards him...

This is not a nice dynamic, this is a girls guilty pleasure.
