Oh dear, it’s really good and cute, especially the story, not too complicated. If you know the fantasy “Triage”, this is still similarly good. I give it 10/10.
POV: It’s good that I could see some new faces here. However, it’s 2025 now, this series reminds me of years around 2018-2020. Why didn’t they escape that old path? As an experienced BL-lover, I expected to see a new story rather than rewatch it like “THE WEST JOURNEY” (well-known series from China).
It’s true that the story is not much amazing or interesting because of its a bit old-fashioned style. However, it’s completely not as terrible as what I’ve read here. They have their own new storyline with good and cute actors. It’s still worth to enjoy this if you would like to find light and gentle series.To sum up, personally, I like it.
I spent the whole night watching it. At first, I thought it was just about close friends secretly crushing on each other, but it turned out to be a fake relationship between a boy and a girl — just a cover for something deeper. I felt bad for the girl, used to hide his truth. Then I felt bad for myself, putting up with his cowardice and that frustrating open ending. Still, the acting wasn’t bad at all — it’s just the story that left me feeling a bit uncomfortable.
Why did I give the story a 9/10? Simply because it's called “Bromance.” One thing that really stuck with me was the theme song — it had such an emotional impact that I found myself tearing up every time it played.
I watched this while taking a Chinese course at my university, and it became more than just entertainment. Even though I was just starting out with the language, the show gave me a fun and motivating way to practice my listening skills. It made learning feel personal and inspiring.
I don’t expect too much from low-budget series like this. I used to recommend it to friends because of its cute and charming vibe. The overall story was unique and quite good, but the way it was executed felt a bit clumsy. And the more I watched, the more noticeable that clumsiness became. I could have stopped at episodes around 7-9 but I didn’t. I successfully stayed patient until the end. I think that you could give up if you’re not kinda patient like me. How I could describe it is that the cowards and indecision may make us really uncomfortable. However, the other character pulls us back with his cuteness and honesty.
This series sparked a new wave in the BL industry, even though it’s just a remake. I could clearly feel the colors, the emotions—even the fluttering sensations I thought I’d lost years ago. The characters were brought to life by a well-chosen cast, making the story more attractive and engaging. It’s definitely worth watching, especially when I’m alone in my quiet bedroom.
