KSR's mom is going to be the one that takes her down. She has a big mouth and speaks before thinking. I have a feeling that granny is going to find out that they are fakes directly from KSR's mom. She will probably say something that granny over hears and it makes her go back and check the DNA test. Speaking of DNA tests. I know it was in earlier episodes but she was swapped, but switched the swap out and replaced it with a toothbrush. Shouldn't that be enough evidence to show that it was a tampered with DNA test?

Noel's ex-husband is Da Jung's deceased dad but she remembers very little from her past life due to amnesia. Once she remembers, she will likely start connecting the dots that SR is not related to grandma. Especially since she had an affair with SR dad. Maybe she will see the topless doctored photo of and remember that it was not SR dad that had the mole but her ex-husband.
I am reaching here. The other thing is that DJ has the teddy bear that her mom gave her because she collected her dead daughter's belonging. Also, there is the hair clip her mom gave her when she was a little girl.

I look forward to when Noel gets her memories back and realizes that Se Ran cannot possibly be the granddaughter. That Se Ran is actually not the victim and is a home wrecker that approached her on purpose. That is going to a fun to watch. Even better, when she finds out that DJ is her daughter. It will likely take another 10 or so episodes before everything plays out.

So we all know that there is a contractual marriage between the uncle and DJ, but in episode 73 there is a reminder about how stock prices rose at the announcement of marriage been the fake granddaughter and son. What I think is going to happen is that once the truth is revealed, the stock will plumment, she and her mom will be kicked out, and Dream Food will take such a deep dive that the W Investments will take the company over Dream Food. Any thoughts on this?

So far the drama is predictable. I haven't watched the entire thing but I did go through all the episodes on fast forward all the way up to episode 74. You can literally walk away come back and not miss anything. It has the usual, near misses, where one person almost finds out the truth but then something happens and the story drags out. The usual lies, misunderstandings, fake best friend, well pretty much everything that you can fit into a kdrama to make it last longer than necessary. I like revenge dramas so, for me it worth putting on in the background while I work and making it a fill in while I wait for all the remaining episodes of of Marry My Husband to come out. This drama gives me Second Husband vibes. I like that the antagonists are not always winning like they were in Elegant Empire.
That being said, some things I am looking forward to that I hope do not get dragged out too much longer.
1. Grandma finding out that Se Ran and her mom are frauds and she is not her grandchild
2. Finding Da Jung's dad's cell phone
3. Se Ran going down and losing everything because it is found out that she is not only a con but she swapped the babies, killed Da Jung's dad and tried to cover it up, kidnapped Da Jung to keep her from going to the police, attempted to kill her Da Jung, framing Sang Chul and the many other crimes she committed. Only to find out that all this revenge was targeted at the wrong person due to a misunderstanding. I look forward to the truths being revealed and seeing it play out. When Se Ran finds out that she ruined her life based on being lied to...it will be fire!
4. Even though it doesn't matter, it will also be fun to see Sang Chul realized that he went to jail, ruined his marrige and life all due to the Se Ran who is actually a fraud. He and his mom chased the money they thought she would inherit so they lost big time.
5. Noel finding out that Da Jung, whom she hate now, is really her daughter. That will be fun to watch. The chairman married his ex-wives daughter. That is pretty gross.

What is everyone's thoughts on this drama? I am curious and would love to hear from fellow viewers.

Yura is not in the webtoon. In the webtoon, the grandfather was very supportive of his grand son and Ji Won's relationship. In fact, he wanted to give the FL a promotion but she turned it down.

At first I was hooked because I just hated the ML and his mom so much and wanted to see them get what they deserved. But, it never happened in a reasonable timeframe, so then I was just watching it to pass the time until episodes of other dramas came out. That is why I personally feel that it is a waste of time. There are other dramas out there that make more sense.

@Fairyqueen1 You were right about him dying. But is little poetic that the mother is blind. It symbolizes her turning a blind eye to his crimes.

Episode 104 - Okay, we have dumb, dumber, dumbest, and just plain stupid (prosecutor). The prosecutor is well aware that not only did the ML kill, kidnap, bribe, embezzle, forge medical documents, steal, swindle and attempt to kill his wife, dad and many others...but plain stupid let's him go have a "private" conversation with his likeminded mom. Without disappointing, he runs away and mommy dearest helps. I am baffled at the amount of stupidity that the writers put into this drama. Let alone that they waited until the last two episodes to exact any kind of revenge.

On the other hand. It looks like his mom is going to go blind from trying to save him in the explosion. I really hope that they show the punishments dealt to the ML, his mom, and all the corrupt officials.
Only then will I be satisfied with this nothing short of a s*it show called The Elegant Empire.

@castawaydish You are spot on. I love how she is using her knowledge of the future to manipulate the current situation. I read the webtoon so I am going to look forward to seeing how things progress on live screen.

That just means these actors are doing a really good job if they get you that worked up. I feel the same, not the punching part, but just that they deserve to go down.

This drama was a 10 out of 10 for me. I loved everything about it. The storyline was progressive in that each episode presented a problem and then there was a resolution. Nothing was dragged out for multiple episodes. I enjoyed seeing character development and real life issues were presented as well. The main leads didn’t have a silly push/pull relationship, instead they continued to grow with one another and support each other. The ML, old sixth, I just freakin loved him. I loved how he exhibited patience, compassion, intelligence and foresight. When it came to his wife, however, all that went out the door and his tone went from being nice and gentle to beast mode. He did not hold back whenever it pertained to her safety.
Overall, this was a really outstanding well executed drama. There is a good balance of action, comedy, mystery to stay engage and I highly recommend watching to the end. Nothing is rushed. I loved the brotherhood and sisterhood code for the main characters. They really stuck together and looked out for one another when necessary, especially Old Fifth and Third. They really had Old Sixth’s back. The only thing I would have liked to have seen are the main leads as parents. Maybe an episode where the FL goes into labor and the ML is there with her along with the other siblings and wives/parters.

Reading the webtoon before I started the drama was very helpful to me. I am following the storyline better and since it did start off a little slow, knowing what to expect and that it would get better as the story progressed was a bonus.

Me too! I just keep thinking about how he such a comedy in Welcome to Waikiki, so it is hard for me to see him in such an antagonist role.

I am on episode 94 and so darn angry with this show. The useless father-in-law just needs to go somewhere and not be seen again. He took things from bad to worse and essentially screwed over the one person who saved his life. Does he forget that his "son" tried to kill him, his wife mistreated him and left him to starve, and that they both conspired to send him to his death by some random gang. This show cannot get anymore dumber.

Finally, let's not get into how useless SHJ is with the so called "revenge". She stands around with her stiff self clinching her hands and talking about she wants to get back at JKY but does absolutely nothing to remove her child from that tainted environment.

Don't get me started on useless the police are in this drama. It makes you wonder if they even have a brain. They just take the story of a man with dementia and run with it. No investigation into why the chairman even disappeared in the first place, no investigation into the murder allegations that later changed into embezzlement charges. No investigation into the hit and run of the congressman. No investigation or anything. Incompetent in every way. The only reason why I am still watching the show is because I am hoping for some major revenge. But, given that there are now 105 episodes, it will be drawn out yet again and we will continue to see some very dumb things happen until the very end.

I just finished episode 95, I think I am starting to see a little revenge and I hope it doesn't fizzle out. Also, I have a feeling and this is just a hunch, that the prosecutor that JKY asked to help him take down JWH is actually going to take down JKY. The storyline alluded the casino opening and that nothing can go wrong so he has to be careful, therefore, I see it going in a direction that he will be taken down as the opening. All the evidence will come to light and the father will finally come to his senses and punish him. The congressman will wake up and the listening device will come back into the light. That is the way it usually happens. Not to mention, the ticking bomb is the guy who carried out his orders. I am sure he recorded EVERYTHING and has all the proof to put him away. At least I am hoping.

One thing I don't get....why is no one using their cell phones to record conversation? When Soo A was crying for her mom, why didn't the useless SHJ put her on speaker to show the police that she was in an unsafe environment? Why the heck did the congressman keep only one copy of the evidence and then, he carried it around with him like an idiot? It is like I said before, this show is not for someone who likes to overthink things.

Well, whatever you want to call it, I am not sure why it is our business who she or he dates.
