kim joon is such a retard. when he wanted to tell DH about anna's parents, he should have just told him. Why did…
Another way for the writers to drag out the story. I had to fast forward through most of the episodes. The writers didn't do very well with the reveals.
Updating my previous comment. I could not finish this. I just skipped most of episode 11 and fast forwarded through episode 12 to the end. I was excited to watch this because of Jang Hyuk and Jang Na Ra but it was a huge disappointment for me.
I am having difficulty watching this drama, tbh. I mean, if they want to focus on the family dynamics, do so!…
Thanks. I have gotten as far as episode 9 now and I still do not understand the plot. It goes from trained assassins' to the family aspect. Maybe it is because I am not giving it my full attention but I find it boring even with the action parts. I think they tried to put to many genres into the writing. They have action, comedy, mystery and drama wrapped up is show. It just doesn't mesh for me. I'm still going to finish it since I invested the time in it so far.
People forget all too often that these shows aren't written to appeal to their western sensibilities. They are…
@oldman -Thank you for that reminder. Even I, as a westerner question some actions in Kdramas. For example how the women can be so submissive and take abusive language from their husbands and coworkers. I have to keep in mind that it is actually normal in other cultures that the behavior is normal.
Yall, suppose Dr. Roy and Seo In Ho are half brothers through father???!!! I don't know why I'm thinking this…
Actually, I love the direction you took this @Vincytvholic. What if Dr. Roy is his half brother because I think there was some mention of the father cheating. Dr. Roy is looking for his parents after all. That would be a great plot twist.
I thought the same thing. Her mother-in-law is not smart and is being swindled. I wonder how that will play into…
While she hasn't taken the loan out just yet, I do see it happening because she is being pressured by the swindler. I don't think Dr. Cha knows that she has a building but when she finds out what her mother did, it will probably be the last straw. I think Dr. Cha may try to make things work but then finds out what her mother-in-law did and just says "Enough, I am done with this marriage"
I just finish episode 10 and I've said it before...I love the pacing of the drama. I like that she found out about the love child between the cheating husband and mistress shortly after finding out about the affair. I makes me wonder where the writers are going to take the story next. Now that she knows, she is going to put it out there to both of them. My hope is that at some point she reveals it to the entire hospital staff and makes an embarrassment of the two.
In regard to So Ra, I knew she would find out and regret how she treated Dr. Cha. However, there is more too it because she also knows about the affair and I wonder if that has a lot to do with her behavior after it was revealed that Dr. Cha is actually her boyfriends mother. I also like the fact that she just up and told her about the affair so that they were able to enjoy the car ride and laugh. I have a feeling that the two of them will be good friends.
Dr. Roy - while he is quite the looker and cares for Dr. Cha, I just cannot see the chemistry. I think the writers are forcing the romantic feelings. It would be nice if they turn him into someone who just looks out for Dr. Cha as a friend and protector.
Some comments indicate that Dr. Cha will stay with the cheating husband. I personally do not think that is the case. She has already sought out a divorce attorney and she said that she wants to find her own happiness. I also don't think that happiness is Dr. Roy. I can vision that episode 16 will be Dr. Cha as a single person who is at the top of her game and well known in the hospital.
So far, I am enjoying all aspects of the drama. The pacing is perfect because none of the stories drag out too long. I like that comedy aspect of it because it brings some light heartiness to a heavy topic. The characters are great as well. I hope that writers will keep up the good story-telling.
I just started episode 9 btw. Do you think she will have the capacity to forgive her husband?
Personally, I think that once she confirms that he had a child with the other woman grew up without a dad, she will leave him. I cannot see how she would stay with him. Even in episode 10, he is being shady and still wants to continue his relationship with his mistress.
The show is 16 episodes long, and we just got to the halfway point. Just the fact that he has a child outside…
Your comment is closest to the ending that I see happing. I think that she will leave him, she will waver and maybe be slightly convinced to stay but for her well-being, she is going to leave, establish herself as a respected doctor and move on in her life. Her kids will support her as well. I think her husband will end up without anyone to include his mistress after she sees how much he is chasing around Dr. Cha even though he claims to be in love with the mistress. As the fortune teller said, she will always be a mistress. As for Dr. Roy, I think he will have romantic feelings for Dr. Cha but will respect that she is going through a difficult time and will remain by her side as a supportive friend.
Episode 8 was fire! I am glad the writers didn't drag it out to where the entire family knows but she is in the dark for more episodes. The pacing was perfect in my opinion. I like how the daughter basically destroyed her mother over the dinner. It is unfortunate that the other daughter had to find out that way but at least she knows, her friend is not only her half sister but she is not really her friend either. So far this drama has been fun to watch and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
My fav is the son! He's the only one who is genuinely supporting his mom, and maaan when he rolls his eye every…
They have to portray her as mean and show how nasty she can be toward him. I think that in the later episodes when everyone discovers that Dr. Cha is his mom, she will be very apologetic to him and try to suck up to the mother so that she can gain his mother's approval. I can see that happening.
Adding to my comment, I think that SJS is going to go back to the ex and continue fooling around with him. That is how they will get caught. It is the way that she looked at his cell phone when she packed up her things.
TG went along with it because he thought it was better for his mother and if he upset the grandma she’d take…
Good point. But if the step-dad loves the mom so much, why doesn't he just leave the house? What's with the whole, needing to stay in the home with the entire family even though they are problematic. Move out and get his own life with his wife. Okay, I have to forget this is a k-drama.
