Could someone help me explain how did Park Mo Geon's mother die? I think I missed this because I skip some scenes.

wait... when were those flashback ? i don't remember ?
I don't know if it's really the female lead in that scene but I hope it's not because I really don't want to see another childhood connection. Anyway I will continue to watch this drama because it's really good. I was just so angry at this scene because I'm so fed up with childhood connections but I've cooled down now.

In episode 2 before Choi Jun Woo goes to sleep you can see photos with two children on his table and then he also dreams of them. And because of the photos I think it's a scene from his past in the dream.

As far as I remember, there were 2 little boys in those flashbacks. I don't know what flashbacks you are talking…
I thought it was a boy and a girl. But maybe I didn't see right because it was a short scene.

This drama got really boring in the end. What a pity. The premise was so awesome and fresh. The only interesting thing now is the Cha Hyun Seol Ji Hwan couple but their scenes are too short.

I really came too dislike Bae Ta Mi. I don't know if it's just the character or the actress because this is my first drama with Im Soo Jung but I really can't stand her way of speaking. It's so lifeless that it's hard to bear.

Jang Ki Yong has so expressive eyes. Finally he got to show what he got in today's episode! His talent was so wasted in the previous episodes. His character in this drama was too bland. But anyway I think he might be best fit for action and melo dramas.

I really enjoyed this drama until the childhood flashbacks. I hope it's something else and not a childhood connection of the OTP again. I'm so sick of this that I'm even thinking of dropping the drama now. Just why? What's the use of having a childhood connection in every drama?

I didn't watch the Japanese version but this Korean version is so good it's immensely underrated. This is my favorite airing drama now. It should have been on jtbc. I hate how it's so underrated just because it's on an unknown channel. If it was on jtbc it could have been a huge hit I believe.

Seol Ji Hwan is such a softie lol. But the best male character is definitely Brian!

I'm noticed shin hye sun partners are always lack acting skill( apart yang seo jeong). She always bring all the…
That's because Shin Hye Sun is an outstanding acting talent that is very rare to find so of course it's hard to find partners that are on the same level because that level is so high. But that doesn't mean that her partners lack acting skill. She's just better.

I really don't get why L is getting so much hate here. Of course he is no match for Shin Hye Sun but it's unfair to compare the two. I'm pretty sure Shin Hye Sun is the best Korean actress in her age class so there will only be very very few male actors who can be her match on acting level. But L is still doing really good and should also get some praise. His acting is of course not perfect but it's not bad either. I totally buy the character he plays. He is totally on the same level like other professional actors and he is worth to be a male lead imo. I have seen other dramas where the male leads acted a lot worse than him. You're raising the bar way too high if you compare him with Shin Hye Sun. For me L is on Excellence Award level and Shin Hye Sun on Daesang level.

I don't know why but Bae Ta Mi is somehow starting to get on my nerves. But I can't make out what it is. Anyone else feeling the same? On the contrary I love Cha Hyun more and more! Now I'm thinking she should have been the main lead. And I never really cared about Song Ga Kyung from the beginning lol. She feels more like an antagonist than a third main character imo and I'm not really interested in her story.

On Designated Survivor: 60 Days Jul 2, 2019
I usually don't like political dramas and recently also tried Chief of Staff and indeed found it boring but I tried Designated Survivor anyway because you never know and I'm really positively surprised! The drama is so thrilling that time passed so fast!

And to those who believe this drama is anti-USA propaganda I think you were too sensitive and judged it too early. You can see in episode 2 in a certain situation how the two countries respect each other. Of course every country has their own interest. In episode 2 there are also conflicts with Japan and North Korea and not only USA. It's normal that every country wants their best interest and there are conflicts. Why should they do what is best for the other and not for them? And of course there are also power struggles and yes USA has the above hand so of course South Korea can feel oppressed. The incident with the bottles helped relieve some stress and had nothing political. But nobody said in the drama that USA is purely evil. In episode 1 South Korea was not happy with an American policy. Nobody hated on the whole country USA. The Americans in this drama are not shown as bad guys but people who work for the best interest of their country. Like everyone else does for their country like South Korea and also North Korea and Japan which we can see from episode 2.

If it were anti-propaganda it should be more like certain Chinese anti-Japanese dramas where the Japanese are purely evil creatures without their own thoughts. They are simply evil because that's their nature in those dramas. But this is not the case at all in Designated Survivor. So yes I don't think it's a fact that Designated Survivor is anti-USA propaganda but an opinion and I can't agree to this opinion.

Also Netflix wouldn't have this drama if they thought that it's anti- USA. I doubt they buy dramas without checking them.

For me the balance is totally off. I loved the tension in the first episodes but there is way too much conflict. The topics are great but it's like the writer wanted to put all social issues she ever wanted to talk about in one drama but that stuff is enough to fill 5 dramas. 1 or 2 conflicts would have been enough for this drama. It's sad because I like the vibe but the many conflicts just make me annoyed. Something in the Rain was much better imo. At least the first half. At least the first episodes there focused on the couple and their happiness but here we have shit right from the beginning and it never ends.

I love how the relationship conflicts between Bae Ta Mi and Park Mo Geon is different personalities and views on life and not evil parents or annyoing second leads or whatever other drama tropes there are. This is so much better. Please make more such dramas Korea!

I love Bae Ta Mi and Park Mo Geon and they had amazing chemistry so far but that kiss was so underwhelming after all the tension they built up. I'm a bit disappointed. I feel more when Park Mo Geon just stares at her with his intense eyes. Maybe the actors should have practiced the kiss more lol.

But I'm just nitpicking. The drama is awesome!

Omg the chemistry between Bae Ta Mi and Park Mo Geon in episode 5 is killing me! Jang Ki Yong will go far in his career. He totally nails every character I have seen of him and they were totally different characters. What a talented actor.

the fantasy tag is bothering me quite a lot
Maybe someone put the tag by mistake. It doesn't make sense. The drama is so realisitc. Is there any official source that said it's a fantasy drama?
