She has come a long way from her 'Liu Yi Fei 2.0' days when she first debuted due to their resemblance. Sometimes, people just need one good role to breakthrough and I think this role suits her to a tee.
I wasn't a fan of her acting before but she's managed to convert me here.
Not a lot happens in this drama, but I'm happy just to watch these FL and ML together all the time. She's always so considerate of him and he's growing feelings even if he denies it as everything being part of his plan.
I've became a fan of Zhang Wan Yi ever since 'The Bond' and he was great as Xiyan Cang Xuan in 'Lost You Forever'. As for Wang Churan's, I dropped 'Fireworks of my Heart' because of her character but she did ok in 'Have a Crush on You' and her small role in 'JOL2'. I'd almost given up on her (as I did Yang Chao Yue) but she's really nailing her role as Liu Miantang here!
Looking forward to all future episodes and especially his groveling once she finds out the truth.
Excited for this even though mini-dramas don't appeal me to me all that much, I am a huge fan of Richard Li (plus Lin Ze Hui & Dai Gao Zheng). Looks like they've put some money into the budget despite it being a mini drama. The BTS and trailer looks good :)
Still hopeful for the day Richard Li transitions to ML in long-form dramas, similar to Cheng Lei's path.
Is it just me or does anyone else think of the Quidditch Golden Snitch from Harry Potter when those flying balls come onscreen whenever ML's sect members are around?
Just saw the trailer, looks so good and I can't wait for this to air. Need my next Tang Dynasty fix now that Strange Tales of the Tang Dynasty S2 has ended.
