XY never lost her memory. She is in hiding. Once they get to the Kingdom of Hao Ling, her identity will be revealed - that is if the drama doesn't deviate from the novel.
The scene where Ah Xuan finds out Xiao Liu's real identity is Xiao Yao is so heartbreaking and touching.

When she was in middle school, he was in uni (dormmates with her brother). When she was in high school, he was studying for his master's (still dormmates with her brother) - so 7 years is about right.
I just realised that Zeng Li who plays Zhao Lu Si's mother in Love Like the Galaxy is also her mother here! They had such a contentious relationship in LLTG but also a huge drive in Niao Niao's (ZLS) character growth in the drama.

My heart broke for Yan Hui in episode 30 :( but I can't wait for next Monday's episode, she's going to be badass in episode 32 according to the trailer.
For LBFaD fans, rumour says lead cast has been swapped out with Dylan Wang and Yu Shu Xin! I guess we won't know until they formally announce the castings.
